Hehe
Let the Tele-nuke virus consume you! My ElM/Shd Scrapper is switching from Fire Mastery to Mu to fit in space for Spring without losing an AoE (plus it fleshes out the concept better by being all electric).

11 months of all-nighters, messy feeding sessions, bath fighting and realizing just how good my son's lungs work, and I am still convinced he is the crowning accomplishment in my life. What in the blue HFIL is wrong with me?

I did a second build (well...actually i respecced my first build as i was using my second build) and worked SA into the mix on my elec/elec dom. Got it 5 slotted with SO's, 1acc, 2dam, 2rech...and honestly...it's not really all that bad.

I'm inclined to agree with Kitsune on Mids having some screwiness with SA. IIRC it was showing about the same damage on a dom as it was with the scrap...~30ish. On that particular piece of paper...it looks like total crud...but in practice...i'm finding it rather nice. My dom is only lvl 24 right now...so i don't have any AoE damage i can toss out, and SA is helping with that, even if it is only once every 70 or so seconds. Hopefully i'll be able to squeeze some more out of it if i ever manage to figure out one of those high recharge, near/or permadom builds without having to dip heavy into a bunch of powers i don't wanna take.

I'd think the best order would be Spring Attack -> then the other two, since that'll let your best attacks benefit from Against All Odd's +damage component.

Hehe
This
Now I need a fourth attack, I want all of my attacks to be teleport kabooms. The problem with Lightining rod and shield charge is the fact I can't use them as my attack chain. With Spring Attack I only need (crunches numbers) 580% recharge in order to use that and chain induction as my attack chain.

love the Charleston Chews, one of the cool candy bars when I was a kid because it appeared you got so much more candy for your nickle, and in my days a quarter could get you a charleston chew, a loaf of bread, some ham, a bag of chips..but then they had to put in those damn cameras..however I like SA on my rad/dark blaster a great set up jump in knock down some baddies drain, then ground zero baby...

I don't teleport into spawns specifically because of this. I herd them up for AAO, as well as Fury if I need it, then I start the nukeage

Because that's half the fun of those powers!

And at least with SA, it's weak enough that you can use it for cinematic value without hampering performance!

Well I make a point of moving at least a few feet, especially with shield charge

Those are so good! I used to get those with my sister all the time when we were little!

FWIW, I wasn't able to fit in Spring on my alt that it would have fit perfectly for theme wise. It was a close call, but the very long recharge time and low-ish damame made it a no brainer to dump this power.

Does that mean the power sucks? Not at all.. It just doesn't measure up to non pool powers, usually, which is fair. If anything, it shows that some pool powers are OP..

But it has both of those things.

It's like a christmas tree with only 2 good sides out of 4. No matter which way you turn it, you cant hide all the bad spots against the wall. So eventually you say f it and tell people it has character and you love it or throw it out and look for something else.

I am of the throw it out and use something better group. Not all people are in this group, but I am not alone in it either.
On top of that, it also requires you to be totally committed to the Leaping Pool.

The Leaping pool is good overall, but its still a consideration.

To be honest, I would almost rather they drop the damage even lower in favor of an even higher recharge rate.

I have a Fire/Fire blaster who barely gets scratched when I use this. Mostly because anything that gets sat down dies before it can get back on its feet again. The knockdown is priceless.

Hell, if I could get it up every spawn I'd even forgo the damage component completely. I spew enough AoE without it. Teleport in, everyone has a seat and then the roller coaster starts.

You may want to look into Repulsion Bomb in the Force Mastery APP. It knocks everything down safely from a distance. I use it a lot, and like you said, everything dies before they can stand up. Arguably one of the single best powers a blaster can take.

Definitely don't go by Mid's yet with Spring Attack, as the damage numbers are off. On my Dominator, it does more damage at base than Fireball does from the APP, albeit with a much higher recharge.

Also, the animation is hilariously awesome. You spring straight up off the screen, and land in the middle of the spawn, making a crater far more impressive than that piddly thing Footstomp does.

This is the part I agree with in regards to all the T5 pool powers. They could all be better for the total commitment to the pool you have to make. If all the other powers were available after picking just one prerequisite, that would make things a lot different, especially in a game where there are so many more ways to get around that a travel power has become a bit of a novelty due to power constraints. Subbing a power for Spring Attack was not a problem on most of my characters. Subbing a power for Super Jump was.

I fail to see how this is any different than how it has been in the past for those with toons that wanted/needed KB protection from Acrobatics...save that you can now get that same protection by slotting various IO's. And I know there are still a great many people out there that still do this very thing because they don't mess with IO's that much.

Same syndrome, different reason.

Same Charleston Chew...different flavor. LOL

Have been gone for almost a year and came back to a whole bunch of changes and this fun little attack adds nicely to my AoE fights. I am using it on a BS/SD wasp themed character and so far love the added AoE attack + knockdown.
Thanks to the devs for adding more flavor, choices, costume pieces and making this great game FREE (even though I am VIP and will stay that way as long as my rig doesn't freeze up whenever a text window opens...)

Hey, even Nixon likes Charleston Chews!

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

Managed to figure out how to fit this into my Ninja stalker with minimal impact. Fun power. I can BU+SA into a group, then a Fireball crit (because SA doesn't break Hide), then go to work on whatever is left. Not every time of course because SA has that long recharge, but still fun when available. It also let me slot another Scirocco's set for some more badly needed AoE defense.

Anyone try Spring Attack + Whirlwind?

The pool powers could use a revamp. I half expected to see "sleeping" in there.

Does anyone choose anything other than flying?

I don't expect a third line of primary powers. I do expect a pool set I could choose actually having some appeal to it.

I think they could find other pool powers to offer that are more appealing but not game breaking.

People choose flying?

I've only gotten a power from the flight pool on a single character in quite a long time (solely because I put the Wonderful Wind-up Wings on her!). If I select a travel power (I often skip it in favor of Ninja Run + Jump Pack). The only pool powers I semi-regularly get are Hasten (+Recharge is always nice, and the hands do not bother me, and never have), Combat Jumping (if it's a Def-based character), occasionally Boxing+Tough. Leadership is also an occasional selection.

Concealment, Flight, Medicine, Presence, and Teleportation are pools I virtually never touch (if the hover period on TP was made optional, I'd definitely pick it up much more often). I'll probably be investing more heavily in Leaping in the future, and maybe Speed on a few characters (Afterburner / LRT don't really motivate me to invest there).

Enjoying Spring Attack on my stone/inv brute. Gives him some AoE where he's lacking, and with some global recharge, spiritual alpha and ageless, its up reasonably often. I wouldnt complain if they shaved a little more recharge time off of it, but its liveable with certainly. Could see myself fitting it into an MM build or two as well.

Here you come with a stupid name like Fixer - brutalkillz_

SA -> FS -> HoB = My heroic DP/Kin might just like Charleston Chews!

And as a pseudopet it doesn't break Hide either, huh. So now you can make any nuke into a tele-nuke! Or a tele-mini-nuke if you just have Fireballs and Ball Lightnings. I'm going to have to re-think a few alts of mine...
