Main account can log into game but not forums.

I had to reset my game password (to what it was currently set at) to regain access to the forums. Apparently, YMMV.

Worked for me as well... Took getting locked out and waiting for 15 minutes, but it finally worked.

So my first attempt to change the password might have worked... but I didn't give it enough time... Just how much time is necessary for the passwords to replicate from the NC Site server to the Forum site server anyway?

Okay was able to reset my game account password and was able to get in again.

Yeah, same issue, same solution. Came across another one though. For some odd reason, my copy of Firefox for some odd reason will not allow the login so register at all.

aha!!! Now I know what I was doing wrong! I changed my master account password- I had to change my GAME ACCOUNT password

(and a lil sad note, couldn't keep my old pasword since it didn't meet current password requirements- bah)

Changing my game account password let me log into the forums but now the game says my password is incorrect.

I was frustrated not being able to log in to the forum and called support. The young man was wonderful and told me to do the same thing that worked here for everyone else...I 'changed' my game password to the exact same one, and now I am here finally!

Same issue and fix here. Had to wait some time too.

1. From the forum goto "Official Site" click
2. click "continue to city of heroes" link
3. Select "My Account "
Drop down and click "Account Management"


4. Enter your Master account username and password - click log in
5. Click "Game Accounts" ...Not Account Profile
6. Click on your Game account for City of Heroes


7. Click "Change Password"
8. Enter or Re-Enter a new password (NOTE: you can use your password you always used; at least that did for me and others.) And Finally click [Change Password]

DONE

Feh. I like my existing password and it does NOT conform to the new password rules.

I had the problem since the middle of Tuesday's maint, but this fixed it instantly.

I'm in hell with this.

Last night I could log into the game but not the forums. So I changed my password.

Then I couldn't get into either of them. Finally I was able to log into the forums but now, I can't get into the game at all. I either get:

The username or password you have supplied is incorrect or

You must complete your Username and Password before logging in.


So I'm not particularly happy right now. With this issue and the added downtimes smack bang in the middle of EU peak times, my 'official headstart' has lasted approximately three hours in total.

I got this message yesterday, after typing Username and Password a few times. It was as if the login was not recognizing any input at all. I exited the game and ran the 'repair' function from the CoH launcher and that fixed it...I was able to get in. No prob since.
