Hey, anyone call for a sarcasm-detector repair man? I heard there were a few broken ones in this thread...

How are people supposed to get excited about Freedom if I- if the average Net denizen can't see the info in PC Gamer? I'll- people will completely lose interest by the time it's here and it'll get zero new subscribers!

I'm just thinking about the long-term health of the game, here.
I will admit, it makes it far less likely that subscribers will be encouraged to buy the game.

At least not for a while. Cheat them out of their exclusive, and next time they won't cover you. If it was me at PCGamer, I'd be plenty pissed if NCSoft promised an exclusive and then reneged on that promise. Those pictures probably come with an embargo period where they can't be released to other channels. When that has expired, we'll all get to see it. Until then, you'll have to wait.
Well putting it like that, i can wait a month or so for the Pics. By then its past news right? or am i still in the wrong

Going to miss the fun and nice people here at CoH. Feel free to add me on PS3/XBox360

I'd guess that more people subscribe to PC Gamer (or buy it in a store) than play this game, so I'd say the odds are pretty good that it'll be good for us.

Even though we on the forums without the magazine have to wait a bit.

I saw it at the store, but couldn't justify paying $9 just to read the one article I was interested in. And I'm not one of those people who will pop open the plastic bag - and there hadn't been one of those people there before me.

It's actually not a bad magazine. I saw it and after hearing about the article actually did buy it. The review is well, good. The section about the end game raids talked about it's good points and it's bad points. They specifically mentioned the most often repeated complaints (besides the whole "why do we need a trial, the trials are too hard/boring/repetitive) the issues with lag and the unusual rewards system. They even tossed in a suggestion carefully phrased which hinted to the devs to fix it.

The concept art, in my not so humble opinion, was simply something to whet the appetite and get people excited. Though they did make one mistake, refering to the Circle of Thorns as a group that was "coming" with I21.

That being said....oh man, rocket boards. I really hope they come with I21 instantly and not have to wait like with Titan Weapons. Those things would completely fit with the concept I have for my DP/Time corrupter.

My hopes for them....near ground based travel power, slower than Super Speed but with more vertical movement. Ah opposite of heaven, even if it's just a redesign of the power slide I'll still take it.

I too am very interested in the Titan Weapons and Rocket Board powers..

Has me curious if the new Rocket Board is secretly travel power custumization in disguise. As an alternate animation for SuperSpeed.

If so, that makes me hopeful I'll one day get to fly around on a disc ala Static!

Who knows? We're finally seeing the Carnival of Light out in force.. maybe the First Ward is hiding some of the Circle of Roses too.

Ancient hippie wizards.

Hrm.

But that's kinda what they were before that whole issue with Hequat and Mu, right?

61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.

With their oath of nonviolence I doubt they'd leave Tau Gamma 9-24 to join in the Praetorian War, so if they're there it's against their will.

Ok, then I want a zipline like Bats or Spidey. I don't care if it doesn't attach to anything in half the zones, I still want it!

Heck if Spidey can swing above Central Park without attaching his webs to anything in his games. then I don't see why we can't have it in our game. Give us a Zipline travel power please.

You know, I've always agreed with this. Personally it wouldnt bother me. Can a zip liner zip line over large bodies of water? No.

So what?

I just picked up this issue so I'd have something light to flip through on the plane to San Diego later this week...

I gotta say, while the concept art for the new stuff is really, REALLY cool, don't waste your $9 if that's all you'd be purchasing it for. There are only 4 pics, and they're relegated to the bottom margin of the page.

Looking forward to the CoT and Gunslinger sets more than ever now, though. The CoT costume concept art would make for a good Belmont character with some color tweaking.

That's swinging...ziplines are those things where there's a static line, anchored at both ends (one higher in elevation than the other) and the rider holds (or is belted in to.. both, actually in the real world) a pulley mechanism that slides down the line.
