I'll finish this post and then go commit seppuku.

Basicallywhat I was going to say was that the boosters only contained items that were posalbe with the current engine and not things we had been told were "imposable".

However the Steampunk pack had backpacks in it and blows that theory out of the water. It is just... disappointing that the only way this game can support it self is by locking all the "good" stuff behind some kind of barrier. Be that Going Rouge, Money, or a Loyalty Program.

But its mostly the money that bothers me the most when they set a precedent for giving us free stuff. and then used the faith that they bulit up with the free stuff to get us to buy the new "good" stuff.

AlrightI'm done talking to myself now where did I put my katana...
If a game is going free to play, they have to lock stuff so that folks spend real money to get it. Otherwise the game doesn't make money.

New corsets, Rocketboards, COT stuffz...Lisa falls into an old fashion swoon only to be revived by her cats who drag in the smelling salts.

Is this issue for sale yet?

If so, I am going to dash out and buy two.

One for Mark and I, and the other to put in my company's breakroom.

Lisa-Very happy camper.

Got my subscription copy in the mail yesterday. Dunno when it will show up on store shelves. Scanning the article would be a no-no, but I guess it's ok to show the cover, so you know what to look for:

191775: How the Other Half Lives

Don't forget that as a subscriber you are now (as in, right now) accumulating a monthly stipend of Paragon Points that you can use to buy whichever of those goodies you like. It's still "free", inasmuch as anything to do with a monthly subscription can be said to be "free". The difference is that you have some choice in what you prefer as your "free" content (via what you choose to spend your Paragon Points on) and you have the choice to be impatient and spend dollars to get stuff now instead of waiting for however many months it takes to accumulate the purchase price of any given "product" in the store.

Also, the fact that certain things show up in the store is not some kind of indicator that the store is the only outlet for content updates in the future. If anything, it will be quite the opposite if Freedom proves to be a successful venture.

I'll be interested in the rocket board, more to see if it's really something new or if it's primarily an adaptation of the existing power slide.

Just opened the issue for that article, and DAMN, I like those Gunslinger pieces. The face even looks high-rez, but it could just be a Steampunk face.

The Titan weapons are a Big Staff Thingy (looks magic but also has a wire attached to the staff itself, so maybe something like a souped up Nemesis Beating Staff), Big Curvy Fantasy Sword, RailRoad Signpost (which we've already seen, I think) and Hunk O' Concrete with Rebar Pieces Sticking Out Attached To a Longer Piece of Rebar.

The Rocketboard looks cool, two big jet engines, one on each side.

The Gunslinger pieces look great, but it looks more like concept art then actual in-game pieces.

Does the gunslinger stuff have any new long coats, like a duster? Would be awesome to finally get a variant of the trench coat in game.

Rocket Board *drools*

This is what I've been waiting to hear since i21 was announced. I really hope we hear about some more alternative travel means in the future.

The concept art they have the Gunslinger seems to look like a western/steampunk mix. She is not sporting a new long coat, if any she looks something like a saloon girl from the wild west era. She has cow skull bracers, a gun holster, iron shoulder pads, and a big ribbon in her hair that has a veil that goes down the back of her head.

Gah... you're right. That explains the face. It looks pretty close to in-game stuff, though.

really? the concept art for the CoT pieces has it more looking like a hood vs. a wizard's hat. Unless you're speaking about a different costume set.
