But would I tolarate him on my private channel, no. I have one private channel and I share it with two people.
On a side note; Riff Raff is a villain on Underdog and would be offended by his name usage here so there. Really I just wanted to post that AV will be on Liberty until the doors close. Look for me on your next MSR and REX I still need a M.O.M. plus Steele and I need 3 Magi's to unlock our Hybred. Thanks RL for running this past one we were on. -

Also, LB is not the channel it used to be. A lot of us are using private channels instead of the public ones - tends to keep the riff-raff out. So, there's a chance that people aren't getting the message.
As a member of the riff-rafferati, I think it's a shame that Liberty has become so riff-raff averse (to the point of setting up private channels to ensure that the unwashed masses cannot *gasp* get a spot on an itrial or tf), but then, there is that element on most servers. They're just not usually so self-satisfied, even gloating, about it. Again, sad. -

*Sigh* So according to what I've scanned on this thread, I shouldn't be surprised that I didn't get my fourth year badges, rewards, or points? I actually wasn't. But that says more about this total mess than it does about my ability to be surprised.

Oh goodie! I hope that it's a beach party with killer somethings (in a trial) and surfing contests (with badges) and sand castles (em_kicksand). But any summer event will be wonderful. I do love the existing ones, so yay!

I still play Praetoria because it's gorgeous, and I love the story lines. But all of the other problems mentioned throughout, including the fact that it's so hard to find another living (or undead) soul there, do keep me from doing that very often now that the shiny's worn off. I miss the mayhems, and they are just gone forever, no way to get them. I miss my sg. I miss all the day job choices. I even miss the ouro porter (and that's only been avail earlier for how long?). And I agree that there's an inherent problem in not being able to stay a Praetorian (or to make primals Praetorian, if we so desire).
Maybe that will all come later, but for now, I head for Praet when I want to solo (usually only MM's, who have zero problem with the mobs/ambushes), enjoy good narrative/writing, and kind of chill (no constant broadcasts for this or that, no tells to join this or that, no nothing--not that I mind all that, I actually like it. I guess my point is simply that in so many ways, Praetoria's almost so far removed from COH/V that it's like another game entirely, and I'm not sure that's a bad thing sometimes.). -

Super smart of them to do a VIP preview/head start thingy, though, that way they can make sure we're all recognized as such before the freeps and premiums get added. I'm still giving it two thumbs up.

I downloaded the update, logged on, selected a server, and was bounced back to the login screen with a note saying that my account could not log on because public access is denied. What is that? I subscribe annually, paid in full for a full year back in February. This is not a stellar start.

Unless I know my melee teammates, I usually CM everyone initially. I've played every AT...well, all but Stalkers, and things happen. Sometimes you overextend your END and a toggle drops. Sometimes enough mezzes actually burn through your defenses. Sometimes you accidentally hit the wrong button. It's life. Honestly, it's usually easier to simply keep CM up on everyone than to pick through the 8-person team. Now, if they make it AoE, it would be golden!
Dreaming: When I can get my +460% recharge and make my RA's perma, I will be happy. ;-)
In the absence of AoE cm, key binds work for me, so much easier (and faster) than clicking down the team list. -

I agree with you. My last two builds I started slotting IO Sets really early but I spent a great deal of inf on them and used up most of my inf. I'm now back to trying to replenish my funds but it's slow going since I prefer to spend my time ingame playing rather than using the market or farming tickets.
I'm really worried about my Dominator. I'm going to push it to 50 but I just know, on common IOs only, he's going to be faceplanting a lot. Guess I'll have to start paying attention more. -

I'm a player that has to max out their level 50s with heavy IOed builds. I'm up to #8 or 9 now since I tend to work on multiple alts at once. My ingame time is starting to decrease which means I'm finding less time to spend outfitting these characters. Now, being a min/max person it's very hard for to think about playing a 50 with just common IOs but I wanted to get some feedback from the community about doing just that.
Are level 50 characters without Set IO-ed builds still viable in the late game? Will I still be able to perform in the trials, high end TFs, etc without having to resort to buying large amounts of wakies?
Right now, if I know I can't outfit a character with the IOs I want then I tend to just shelve the character, prior to level 50, and let them collect dust until I'm ready or have the inf to start again.
I almost feel like a drug addict trying to quit but needs some support, lol.
tl;dr version: If I just slot Common IOs, then will my characters still be viable in the late game or will I be the weak link on many occasions? I take pride in my gameplay.
Besides, it's a lot of fun to work on builds as you go rather than all at once (I do and have done both, and find both approaches have their pluses and minuses); there's something to be said for experiencing each upgrade in a budding build rather than or in conjunction with a carefully-crafted mids build. I've got a defender in the "garage" awaiting full IO set upgrades, and I've got a blaster that I'm playing through her build. I'm having more fun with the blaster

CM only protects against immob, disorient, hold, sleep, confusion, and fear, and because most melee toggles that "cover" these also provide other protection (notably against psionics, but also fire, nrg, etc. defense), I don't actually offer to do this. However, I am more than happy to slap cm on any melee who's trying to save on end; I'm cm'ing others, so what's one more?, and I'm sure that most emps would feel the same way (um, not the healbots that we're talking about, of course, they don't use cm unless asked, often repeatedly), so just ask / notify the emp that this is your wish.
