I think a big point for me was that If I go F2P I wouldn't be able to use my Veats,Eats,MM's or Trollers unless I purchase them again, sucks a bit as MM's was the reason I brought CoV.
Too many 50's to list here's a few you may know.
Slazenger, Area51, Area53, Area54, Erruption, Mind Plague, Thresher, Sheath, Broadside, Debt
I'd imagine it's all the same news that's on the i21 and Freedom overview pages.

Likely wasnt defined as a specific timeframe though.

Actually you automatically become the mid-range tier of player, what they call "Premium". A previous paying customer who switched to Free. All your accumulated 'loot' and toons are there, but you may need to 'purchase' a couple slots to unlock all your slots.

Nothing terribly new in the UStream. They did mention that there is an another powerset in i21 beyond Time Manipulation. And Second Measure is apparently super excited about it.

What I took away from this is that they've dramatically increased content production and have banked a lot of content that will come out together with CoH Freedom and I21. Apparently the current closed beta players have been shocked by how massive it is. That's very exciting!
Oh and you no longer exit into fort Darwin instead you enter the city and retake the fort from longbow.

I got mixed feelings about some of the news. From the sounds of it, if you lapse and go f2p and own GR you will lose content you paid for (incarnate trials) as well as some character slots, since from the sounds of it you will not get to keep all the slots you got for the retail game. I'm also a bit worried about the P-Store in the sense that it reminds me of that "other" store where you buy powers and other pieces that aren't always full sets. It sounds like they are going to do away with the super booster idea. But nothing is set in stone and from the sounds of it there's still time to make changes and what not so i remain optimistic.

What I take away from the discussion and answers is that so long as you are actively VIP you have access to the new power sets.
If you drop your subscription level down to Premium then you will need to pay for access to the power sets. Even for characters you might have created while VIP. So you really only need to worry about paying for them if you plan on regularly dropping to premium.

It was mentioned that using your 'monthly stipend of Paragon Points' that one of the options to spend it on would be Powersets. Since only VIPs get that stipend I'm assuming that it's something that has to be bought for everyone, not just Premium players.
Yes hopefully someone will come in here and clear it up.

The moment they do start charging VIP users for powersets (yes I know Going Rogue was required for Dual Pistols etc. but that was a full on boxed expansion, not some ingame cash store) is probably the time I will beg my leave of the game.
Simply because that is very definitely something we got free before hand. I honestly don't mind fluff items like costumes or temp powers but actual powersets is kind of where I draw the line.

Do we get the new powers for free just as a matter of being VIPs or are they "free" in the sense that they assume we will use the 400 points a month we receive to purchase them?
