Wow! Thats awesome news!!
Guess I will be transferring some toons to Union very soon.

Any word on the Passport badge becoming available on NA accounts if players EU side create alts on any of the NA servers? If so, how does this carry over as an exclusive account related badge that no one NA side can get, except for players with an EU account? Not a complaint but NA never had any exclusive NA only badges.
Any chance passport will become available to all, once NA/EU merges if someone moves an alt from a NA server to EU server? (since that was the only way to get the badge in the first place)

What happened to the reactivation weekend so players with duplicated globals could change them??
I know the only global same as mine in the US is a trial account I set up many years ago. I thought we were getting chance to sort these out to prevent any issue??

I know my US and EU accounts have the same account name at the least. I sill have not got the email the FAQ mentions. When should I be expecting that?

Happy and sad at the same time.
Happy to finally join with our brethren in the US, sad to say goodbye to a global everyone knows me by. The global issue really has sucked the joy out of this event unfortunately.

I'm guessing they have got the dates wrong for it, or it's gonna leave very little time for changing things over. Hopefully this will be cleared up quickly.

Hmmm, not sure if that is the reactivation before or not for the global clashes, or just a free set of days to get people back to playing once the globals are merged or not, tbh.

Hmm. Didn't get a reactivation email either. Well, the plus is that I can finally delete the toons from my EU account so I can recreate them on my main NA account

To the EU Union community:
After the merger, will you migrate, or start a new, a character on one of the NA servers? If so, which one will that be? I have heard that Freedom and Virtue are the two most popular ones; and Positron plays in Justice. But anyway, I am asking just out of interest to see where people will be ending up in.
I'll probably come over to Union for a couple of days at least... Just to see what the RP is like...and I've been curious about Union since we got the shared forums....

Gahh, this is annoying!!
If I'm reading this right, loking at the times, I have to
1. Log out of the EU account (my normal one) on the right character for my Global Name before the servers go down at 12pm,
2. Wait for the servers come back up at 7pm that night
3. Log in to my US account and change the Global Name (I'm presuming I've still got one global name change?)
4. Log out of that and log back in to my normal EU account and all being well I should keep my normal Global Name?
What happened to the free activation before hand we were promised? What happened to taking into account the Inactive Accounts? Why does it feel like every single thing discussed in the previous thread about this has been ignored??

By the simple basic, Defiant and Union wont increase in population, why would the 'mass' transfer to these 2 while already being on a very populated server? I rather see more Union/Defiants move to Freedom/Virtue, not even gonna mention the Villigance and Zudunkt server.

Edit: Actually, no, it's not great, the account I created wasn't a trial, it was a full account so I could get Passport badge (yes, I'm just that sad
) so my original problem still stands. Regardless, why is the reactivation weekend IN ADVANCE we were promised not going to happen?

I think it will be possible to fix things, as I posted earlier, but will be a lot more awkward.
My point stands, we were told we would get the reactivation weekend in advance of the global merge, no we are not.

When we announced that Global Server Access would be rolled out by the end of the Summer, we certainly hoped to make it available earlier so we could unite all of our North American and European servers and allow for a lot more interaction amongst our players.
Well this is it! Between 4:00 a.m. Pacific Time (7:00 a.m. Eastern Time / 12:00 p.m. British Time / 13:00 Central European Time) and 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (7:00 p.m. Eastern Time / 12:00 a.m. British Time / 1:00 Central European Time), Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 is when we leap across entire oceans and continents (figuratively!) so you, our community, can be one big family with 15 live servers to choose from and that many more character slots you can fill with characters you could only dream of conceptualizing on Mids, for lack of space!
Please note that while we are currently anticipating Global Server Access to be available for everyone on 5/10/2011, this date is subject to change if we encounter any technical difficulties or concerns which would jeopardize your character integrity during testing.
If you haven't read our Global Server Access FAQ, please make sure you do it now! There are several things you will want to be aware of if you are currently playing on the European servers! Your account name and/or Global Handle may be modified as a result of the Global Server Access!
