Reactive + Rain Powers?

Does anyone know how Reactive works with Rain Powers such as:

Sleet
Freezing Rain
Ice Storm

etc...etc?

The DoT can stack up to 5 times, and yes the rain can apply the DoT now. Patch AoEs with Reactive are extremely powerful now.

At the moment, I believe (from chatter on boards/global) that the chance to proc is applied on every tick. Whether this is intended or not is unsure. All other procs in these type of powers uses the 'every 10 seconds rule' so I don't believe that reactive is working properly.

Keep in mind that there's still a cap as to how many of these you can stack on an enemy (6?).

Yes, I'm aware of the stacking rule. I was just unclear on how it worked with rains, it was either the 10 second rule or works from every tick.

I think any attacks that does some what of an Damage output, has a chance to work.

Missed that in the patch notes.. but you're right xD

Holy crap, Rain of Fire with this thing + Scourge is an absolute beast.

Everything dies in about 9 seconds, from JUST Rain of Fire, (boosted by Fulcrum Shift, though). That's Minions and Lts, Bosses would take a bit longer..

Then the mobs I tested it on had self rez (inside AE), so they'd all raise at the same time, and be dead again before their animation was finished LOL.

More like you can tag a holy sweet jebus number of mobs from the patches.

The proc also works in Acid Mortar, another stackable pet (although it's destructible). Traps made out like a bandit with this patch.

Indeed. I ran an ITF just yesterday, and the DoT from reactive alone, was in the 250,000+ total damage range, only behind fireball (260,000+), in total damage contribution. Considering it's 'free' damage, that's a nice boost...and it's only at 50% chance, currently, as I need the T4.

Does this work in Incendiary Swarm Missiles from Bots? It might make up for them breaking the power back when they fixed burn!

I dunno; my MM doesn't have Reactive, but the icon for my Interface power doesn't show up in my pets' buff bars.

All patches are now nukes is how it works. My Rain of Fire now does more damage than my Pyronic Judgement -- by a lot. A single Rain of Fire can kill all the minions and lieutenants in a 54 spawn.

Yeah, I'm clearing +4x8 spawns just by alternating between Sleet and Ice Storm; nothing else. 10 second rule sounds like a good idea to me.

Yeah, seems a bit OP. My burn patch can take out an entire mob, including bosses (lvl 50s at least) with very little fury and no rage. Will need to spam the devs with the question come thrusday or something haha.

EDIT: of course this epicness mighht not be as epic on teams as it stll only stacks 5 (6?) times.

Yep, limited number of stacks. It's as epic as it gets. Btw, it appears the bramble patch in creepers also procs. Very cool, this is about a 75% damage increase for me.

I agree here. I did the ITF yesterday and my caltrops do insane amount of damage. It just feels wrong being able to do this to mobs after dealing with 54s for so long. Maybe if its intended then I can live with it.

If its WAI, then the next 4 incarnate slots better give single target powers psychotic levels of damage - and I mean needing scientific notation to express, like Steel Canyon Building Explosion or Kill Monster.

My 'incarnate character' who's suppose to be my most powerful of all characters is a Fire/Storm corruptor. With Freezing Rain and Rain of Fire built to rech in 15 sec (then Tornado for when one needs to solo a EB/AV), she would surely be epic with these abilities

Good thing she's still got 10 lvls to 50 and a heck of a lot of work to unlock her 'shtuff'. I might have gotten teary eyed when the devs eventually took away her ludicrous power.

As awesome as the DoT is, i'm thinking they won't change it to a 10 second rule, especially when the other interface procs aren't limited that way. I do see them lowering the stacks down to 4 (or even 2) as the DoT itself can stack 8 times (each DoT has a 80% to trigger, so getting all 8 to happen is rare, but its possible) which is what is making the rain powers so nasty. Your instantly hitting the max stack (currently 6) and then each DoT is actually 8 dots, so you can literally have 48 DoTs going on someone, plus the -res boosting the actual rain's damage.
