Weekly Strike Targets for March.
I dont mind the Shadow shard becoming co-op..im in favor of it and always have been. but the reason (when speaking to some people) people dont play villains as much is mostly due to less things to do..sure..we have some sf's but villains is either about solo or long term teaming..
lot of people dont have all day to get the best out of good teaming where as tf's are a few hours boom bang done...
i feel like ive ranted not praised the current (to come) WST..itf..lol.
tin and apex gonna be awesome and glad they've included ice mistral n shark sf's- love them
edit: i hope they do revamp the sstf's only to maybe shorten them or not do so many kill alls..the hunts are fine..love runni---lol i mean jumping or flying around there..hmm story arcs in shards..sweeet idea
Uber Talgrim - level 50 emp/dark defender
Uber Rod - level 50 dark melee/regen scrapper
Rod Valdr - level 50 invuln/SS tanker
Talgrim - level 50 ninja/dark mastermind
OMG!! Please add these costume designs now!
Unlikely to happen.
Heroes outnumber Villains 3 to 1. We joke that "the Devs hate Villains"; but do you know who else hates Villains? The players. It was in the cards long ago that developing Villain-only content was not efficient use of Dev time. The only new Villain-only content that has been taking place and will take place in the future is maybe a single arc (e.g. Vincent Ross) or content that can be re-purposed to have a hero-analogue (like the two Reichsmans [Kahn and Barracuda]). Now, with side-switching from Going Rogue, Villains-become-Rogues have access to almost all the Hero-side content, including even starting Task Forces. So.... unlikely to happen. |

I mean, really. ONE new Strike Force to cover the level 30-35 hole that's been there since CoV launch. I don't understand why that's so much to ask.

It does? Or is that *just* on trials like the BAF? Got a link? Not because I think you're lying but because I would be really really excited about this.

For our more casual players, we have added an option for you to continue to build your way up the Incarnate Tree by collecting Incarnate Shards without doing any Incarnate Trials--you will even get Incarnate Shards when you are exemplared down.

Death is part of my attack chain.
Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
@vanda1 and @nakoa2
Too many alts to list.
Kinda like the new list. Glad they're doing the new incarnate TFs too. For all the people saying we'd only get like the same 3-4 TFs if we stuck to 50, they seem to have forgotten about the Apex and Tin. Rotating just 6 would still keep some freshness in there. But spicing in the lower ones is okay provided the other ones see light. I'm just not that fond of exemping, especially since I'm doing these with characters specifically built to excel at 50.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

But doesn't side-switching negate that? Our characters are no longer restricted to one side. So any redside content the Devs make is not closed off to the majority of the player base. They can just switch sides temporarily to play it. So I see this as a great reason to add more redside content (especially Sfs) without the need to have a blueside equivalent.

I never really noticed at first, until I got my rogue crab back from a STF and I thought, AWESOME! Well, I go to change my merits in The Crucible (I forgot), and now I have merits, and I could get something, but Hero/Villain merits are way cooler.
Secondly, becoming a hero/villain means losing your position in a VG/SG and that is something of an anathema to certain players.
We won't develop content because more players prefer to play where there is more content. Circular logic at its worst. Maybe if there wasn't such an imbalance in the amount of content available, there wouldn't be such an imbalance in the amount of characters per side. I don't think that there will ever be as many villains as heroes, but I don't think it would be a poor use of dev time at all to create some more content to give villains more to do.

Something I would like to see is a third TF/SF in Praetoria that is in the same "space" as Positron or Virgil Tarikoss (i.e.- lvl. 10-15 or 15-20 respectively). Having a three-way cross over story arc that is NOT end game content but foreshadows what they're heading towards would be cool (and, provided the TF/SF/?F is successful, Emperor Cole allows them to succeed, so great is his arrogance/hubris/whatever to show what a jerk he is).
Just a thought...
I think it is interesting they matched Manticore up with Renault instead of Citadel to keep the levels matched up. But then I guess Manti would never get run.
Don't even get me started on that. |
Citadel and Synapse on the other hand. *vomit*

I'll even go as far to say that a large majority of players have never/not much experience fighting them. If a shadow shard revamp did happen ala RCS/Fault, then i could see it being one of the best zones potentially in the game.
Edit: Does need a zone event too
And a 4 hour average time tf is NOT something I think the average player is interested in. Especially NOT in this age of speed speed speed. (Thanks WST.)
As you say the zone needs a revamp. Desperately.
