Which Movie Star Would Play YOUR Main Character?
Why bother with Movie actors since it is 2015. Let me put this scenario to you. Its 2013 and the technology to make completely realistic CG is developed. Movie studios get tired of paying $20 million for actors that aren't even worth a fraction of it and movie goers get tired of paying $25 to see people they have seen in five other films this year. In 2015, actors have been downsized from most movie studios and find work in Theater or flipping burgers having to sell their million dollar homes to feed their extravagant lifestyles. Some musicians have suffered similar fates due to them having no creativity.
Now the whole point of this scenario is why should any movie star ruin my character with them doing their own version of my character when I can design the character with the look I want, the personality I want, and the voice I want. IMO few actors have done roles exactly right or better than how the creator viewed them.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
Since I've always seen my characters as 'animated' (or at best CGI'd) for a movie, my focus for this tends to be on the voice actors side of things. To that end...
Character: Agent Sorina Tavarisch
Voice actor: Jennifer Seman (Akeginu in BASILISK, Mirka Fortuna in TRINITY BLOOD, among others)
Character: Agent Andrea Blake
Voice actor (tied): Laura Bailey (Alv in KIDDY GRADE, Tohru in FRUITS BASKET, among others) and Gwendolyn Lau (Yukino in SAMURAI 7, Sister Kate in TRINITY BLOOD, among others)

Okay, here's my idea:
CHARACTER: Broad Street Bully (Henrik Soderstrom)
ACTOR: Dolph Lundgren (circa 1985 - 1987; Rocky IV - Masters of the Universe)
STORY OUTLINE: Sweden: 1990. Henrik and his sister Nina lose their parents to a car accident, forcing him to take care of them both. After 2 years of struggling and saving, the 2 book passage on a ship bound for America. Some time during the voyage, Nina goes missing. As Henrik searches the ship high and low, he notices the ship's passengers disappearing slowly. His sister's disappearance was not some fluke thing. There was a presence on-board the ship. Upon arrival in America, Henrik sets up his base of operations in Philadelphia, PA and turns up the intensity of his search. He begins training his body to withstand pain, extreme temperatures and conditions. As his skills grow, he stumbles on a clue to his sister's whereabouts. It seems an alien being was present on the ship and it abducted Nina. Henrik fights his way to her, desperate to save the only family he has left. He is met with resistance from Kynreith, the alien who had taken Nina. Kynreith had used Nina's body as a host in order to hide in plain sight on our planet. The alien race was none other than the Rikti. Unable to destroy his sister, even though it really wasn't her, Henrik vows to hunt down and destroy this alien threat, taking the moniker of Broad Street Bully.
((I know this is pretty cheesy, and probably not well written, but its what I based his character on.))
Mental Maden- Rachel McAdams
Codename-Pox- That is a hard one. I'm going to have to put on the thinking cap.

"....you are now tackle free for life."-ShoNuff
Character: Doctor Leo [Illusion/Empathy Controller]
Actor: Michael J. Fox (completely cured from Parkinson thanks to advances in medicine)
Story: Befriending a crazy scientist in town always leads to something interesting, especially when that scientist (played by Christopher Lloyd) creates the Illusion interface, which projects all sorts of things that are not there. In order to make the illusions completely realistic, it releases all sorts of chemicals towards their targets which makes them feel that the illusions actually hurt, or heal. Crey Corporation takes an interest in the technology by claiming it would be of use in the medicinal field, but Christopher is suspicious of them and refuses to sell -- at which point they kidnap him and trash his lab. Now, it's up to Michael, who has the only working prototype of the technology, to rescue Christopher before Crey can use the Illusion interface to manipulate the thoughts of the entire world... if he can only figure out how all of it works.

This is what 3700 heroes in a single zone looks like.
Thanks to @EnsonsDeath for the GVE code that made me VIP again!
For Cheat Code, my Claws/SR scrapper, I'd have to go with Lyndsy Fonseca, "Alex" from 'Nikita' and the love interest from Kick-***.
For a lost teddy bear, Kat/WP in a CGI or animated film, voiced by Jason Statham.
Blends, my spines/da, is Natalie Portman
Keira Knightley was the basis for Imminent Violence, so I'd have to give the role to her.
My Warshade, Revolutions of Ruin, Robert Downey, Jr.
Luna (Runa) Nagai (Japanese TV Teen Idol) bleaching her hair blonde, for Brand-X. I think she just fits the look perfectly.
BrandX Future Staff Fighter
The BrandX Collection
Hmmmm UltraTroll would be CGIed but I see Dwayne Johnson a.k.a the Rock as both the model for the design and the voice.
I love that this thread comes up from time to time, always fun to see what people choose
Mine has always been the same, Coin would be played by John Cusack, playing Coin as a little less neurotic version of his character from High Fidelity, with a scientist mind to keep him accurate to Coin
We built this city on Rock and Roll!
well, lets see if i remember.
for rian, jeremy piven at full speed would fit him well. much cg would be needed and if i recall i had ray park doing his fight scenes, jony jaa would also fit due to rian's multi-stylistic approach to fighting.
for seraph blue, singer/actress jaci velasquez kind of fits her look and demeanor
for violet tendencies..i'm thinking gina gershon. padding would be needed, but she could pull off the snarky funny better.(quasadu has reminded me, christina hendricks would look the part of vio well, not sure if she does comedy, or at least a funny character type, though)
for dire worg, he would be heavy cg again but rapper dmx actually has a good angry-raspy voice.ron perlman would also fit the usual bill of the nasty sounding big guy.
lady bizzybee would definitly be aisha tyler, both for look and sense of humor.
while i have no idea if she could act, Nicole Scherzinger would be a physical fit for atomic angel.
vendace could be played by yanyin vanmistananda (from chocolate) for a smaller female character that can conceivably kick butt.
for weather bug, i see a slimmed down anthony anderson playing up his humor and look well.
thats all i can think on for now
Hm! I'm not good with remembering too much about movie stars (like who they are :P), but the first name I came up with for Clave Dark 5, my stalker, would be that one guy... you know, has that face?
...
I'll go look, hold on...
Uhm...
Ah, here he is, Adrien Brody. Failing that, we've already seen Alan ******* playing someone with blue skin, so he'd work too.
And his name is censored on the boards (although I can see why)! Well, "you know, that guy who played NightCrawler in X2."
Area Man would have to be Dennis Quaid as he looked (and sounded) in The Big Easy. With his Purple, Green and Yellow outfit, I've always thought of him as a New Orleans kind of guy.
Local Man would be Luke Wilson . . . average guy. Nobody plays "average guy" better.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)
Guide Links: Earth/Rad Guide, Illusion/Rad Guide, Electric Control
For my main hero Nylonus I would cast
James Marsden
For my main villain Pie Man I would cast Rip Taylor.
Pie man is suppose to be one of those over the top campy bad guys.
Hmm interesting thoughts.
Bale Fire would probably be Teresa Palmer from the sorcerers apprentice. Youd have to dye her hair bright flaming red but shes got the looks to pull off my teenager from another dimension whos a master of all fire powers (and with 4 50s all fire power related I can really say that). For an animated version Colleen Shaugnasey (Ino from naruto, and Jazz from Danny phantom would be a great choice)
Panda Id go with Scarlet Johansson or Jessica Alba, Scarlet really pulled off the red head look in Iron man 2 and was able to do the physical stuff shed be perfect for my bouncing red headed best Darned DarkDarkDark Defender on champion.
So Would Alba who would look sizzling as an auburn red head and has the phsycial background thanks to her Darkangel role. Alba would also be great for the voice actress role were panda animated.
White Lotus my ninja stalker/mastermind/brute etc would probably be best done by Devon Aoki, Animated would be grey delise channeling her Azula role.
Stars Fire my Peacebringer would be Ryan Reynolds hes just the right amount of physical and looks and smart alec to pull off the character, for an animated version Will Friedel (Batman Beyond and others) would be a great choice. For the Kheldian inside him Id love to use Kevin Conroys voice as the ancient alien trying to share mental space with the young cocky human.
Midnights Fire my warshade and Stars Fires love interest would probably be ebst doen by Margerite Moreau (of mighty ducks fame) shes grown up nicely and would look gorgeous in cgid purple, and has the right look and attitude.
Animated version would be a great Kate Higgins. for both Mary Elizabeth Mcglinn would be the voice of the warshade in side her offering advice.
So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?
Dubbed first knight of pep-istan by her majesty Queen Pepcat. first catmonaut to walk onna moon.
PENGUIN!!!...(^)>
...............C(...)D
.................m.m
Oooo I love shizz like this.Gonna go with cgi on all of them.
Warpact, my robotic bots/ff mm would be voiced by Frank Langella.
Necro Portia, my Bane would be voiced by Christopher Lee.
Mr.Munny, my ebil marketeer (ele/ice troller) would be voiced by Dick Cheney.
Thats really the only ones who I have thought of who would sound like someone.
If time isn't a factor, Agonus would be played by Arnold Vosloo from the first Mummy movie. So put this guy
into this costume.
I chose that because Aggie is intended to be in his mid 30's, and back then Vosloo was 37. And he looked pretty good all clean shaven then too. >.>
Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.
good luck D.B.B.
That would be easy for me, although definitely a CGI merge of a hard body and an even harder face to bring Comrade Hero to life.
Comrade Hero
The body of competition-era Arnold Schwarzenegger (this was rendered by Luc Bégin.
Main villain - The Waitress (mind/fire dom in a knock-off Hooters uniform)
Actress - That girl in Philly's signature, or possibly Hayden Panetierre
Main hero - The Erin Brand (Irish-American BS/WP scrapper)
Actress - Linda Cardellini
Secondary hero - Shenaniguns (Irish-American DP/Dev blaster/cop)
Actress - Emma Watson
(I really need more male characters)
(Sometimes, I wish there could be a Dev thumbs up button for quality posts, because you pretty much nailed it.) -- Ghost Falcon
Oddly enough I've always thought that Geena Davis would be the one to portray "me" in any movie about "me", because we look very similar. And since my main Retail Retali8r IS me, and I could nail the look of "me" in COH very well, the transition to Geena is very clear.
My current villain is really the only male I could think of that wouldn't require tons of work to make him look okay. He's also gone through a lot of changes since I originally imagined him, but he looks OH so good with that mustache. Hugh Jackman is the dreamiest thing on two legs, and it'd be a shame to let his perfect features go to waste on anyone else but Alorel. Mainly it's the long, straight and sharp nose, and that chin.
Please read my FEAR/Portal/HalfLife Fan Fiction!

I think Christiana Hendricks would have to play Cherry Bombshell, since that's who I was thinking of when I created the character:
@Quasadu
"We must prepare for DOOM and hope for FREEM." - SirFrederick
voice actor then, a number of us have made that caveat already.
The year is 2015. A cultural phenomenon has blazed across America, sweeping nearly the whole nation into a frenzied demand for more, more, MORE superhero-related entertainment! New film companies have sprung up overnight by the dozens, quickly building into industry giants, and still the demand far outstrips the supply! Studio heads hire writers by the hundreds, and the call for superhuman characters to build film franchises around rings out without ceasing.
Okay, yeah, the threshold for believability has stretched and broken, but just go with it.
With filmmakers under the gun, they're desperate for stories, any stories; so much so that they're willing to give the creator of a property (that's you!) final say in all matters: script, final edit, and even casting.
Now that I've stated the premise, here's the question for you:
Which movie star, male or female as appropriate, selected from the past or the present (death is no barrier, thanks to CGI advances), would you select to play the role of your main hero or villain? You can also choose an actor/actress of today, but specify that they'll appear as they did in any given point in their lives (example: Clint Eastwood from his Dirty Harry days, or Elizabeth Taylor as she appeared in Cleopatra).
And your choice isn't limited to the character you consider your main. If you have other characters that you feel would be perfectly represented by an actor/actress as stated above, tell us that too!
I'll post my own choices later, after I've had some time to think about this myself. I thought I'd get the ball rolling now, though, as I believe this will prove to be mighty interesting!
M. Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me...it was Tuesday.

McClane: Hey, thanks for saving my daughter's life.
Farrell: What was I going to do?
McClane: That's what makes you "that guy."
