I would like to see the Dev's to allow us to create, or import our other other alts via an AE type device, which would allow us to bring in these characters to assist with solo missions/ task force missions for those that do not want to team or as fillers to a tf that needs a few more.

Granted the AI contolled players are not the best, which is why these created characters would need some form of interface similar to what was used in Final Fantasy 12. Sort of like an uber mastermind.

The Lore slot seems to give players one or more combat pets.

Those of you with ATi cards, has anything made it into this patch to address the crashing and horrible FPS with drivers newer than 10.9?

I agree with the WST being for all TF/SF rather than just the high end ones... At first I thought... "heck, its supposed to be epic and all...why would I get better in my incarnate path in a Posi?" but then I thought that the WST is only a way to get the rare alpha NOW, after i20 comes with the incarante trials, there will be more ways to get the level shift that isnt the WST. The extra rewards for the WST should be available for everyone, no incarnate would benefit from a 2/3 their level in xp :P

Well, things seem to run smoother with less of the lag when I open up trade window at WW. I don't see as much single digit FPS now. I guess I can run around with showfps up. Last time I did ingame I was getting 58fps most places with the odd lag spike down into the mid 20s.

ATI 6870 w/ 10.12

H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50
Top 4: Controller, Brute, Scrapper, Corruptor
Bottom 4: (Peacebringer) way below everything else, Mastermind, Dominator, Blaster
CoH in WQHD

It would be pretty wild getting >200 merits as a reward in one shot.

Unanimous consensus of people who done 232 merit (or was it 220?) Dr. Q was that "a reward isn't worth of effort".

Sounds like an improvement, but I guess I should load up test and see for myself, since what I am asking is so subjective. At this point, I can't run shadows at all without massive lag, and I crash regularly if I don't set everything to minimum except AA/AF. Tested on my old 4890, new 6970, and using my wife's 5770 running 10.9 as the control. On the 10.11 (first the 6970 can use) up to and including the newest 11.1a hotfix, I can't top 30 FPS unless *everything* is off, and I crash regularly, both hard crash and the driver stopped responding crash. On the 10.9's, my wife 5770 only needs settings dropped if she has a dark toon on the screen with everything running .

And I can understand that completing a Task Force would make the Well Notice us. We have completed something epic.
I'm actually hoping the restrict it to level capped TF/SFs. The reason being that hero side has some real weird divergences among TFs. Can you imagine what a Katie Hannon week would look like. People have focused on how much a Dr. Q would suck, but really, all that would mean is that people skip that week. A Katie would probably cause a singularity to form in Croatoa from the mass of all the players there.

The endgame TFs are, for the most part, all of a reasonable difficulty and all would allow the use of Incarnate abilities.

3. Because everyone on the Task Force completes something epic, I suggest that everyone should acquire a Notice of the Well regardless of level. A non 50 can't do anything but look at it and think of what they might do with it when they do hit level 50. It is a carrot on a long stick encouraging people to get to the end game. It cues new players in to what the game has in store for them at the end. And it helps long term players to create new characters today that could still become level shifted incarnates in a reasonable time.
I don't think the Well notices lowbies.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I'd like to second this. In fact, I think I posted this same idea several years ago, but I don't mind supporting someone else's proposal.

Anyway, the plain grey buttons we have now are pretty drab. Having 3 or 4 colors to choose from, and 3 or 4 abstract symbols (think playstation controller symbols) would be the cat's meow.

Suggestion: This could be easily (well, relatively easy ) added to the current context menu (right-click to get the Edit Macro). Bonus points for: adding a menu item to pop-up a blank Macro Edit menu, and adding the same pop-up if /macro is entered on the chat line with no parameters.

Further GUI thoughts: My list of powers is getting pretty insane. My temp powers are ridiculously long, and I keep acquiring more other types of powers too. The vertical scroll for that menu is out of control.

Could a similar pop-up menu be added that shows the same sort of powers, but perhaps with tabs to break out the different power categories (primary / secondary / pool / inherent / temporary / etc.), and also use a larger font so I can read them easier.

Bonus points: Add a save/load feature for remembering how powers are placed in a tray. This would make respecs much easier. Have it remember my macros too.

Dumb question of the day...

Who thinks the Strike Pack will go live tomorrow?

Unlikely, but not impossible. My money is on the eighth, followed by the fifteenth. I'll lay odds on the eighth, tomorrow, then the fifteenth.

System qualms notwithstanding, I don't really think so lowly of our devs to assume they'd release a patch this major after only a weekend of testing, especially when that weekend was the one everyone was busy with their expees on live.

Unless, of course, they're trying to sneak in something else. If it goes live tomorrow, that means guaranteed stealth nerfs to accuracy and Regeneration! Start your DOOOOOOOMing now!

Please don't start this again. I got modded so much on that last thread.

They did say very early Feb.

Would it really go live during the Spring Fling? In the past they have avoided publishing a "major" update during an event. Of course I guess this is a fairly small update.

Then by that logic we're guaranteed a February 8th publish date:

I'm hoping the animal pack goes live tomorrow. It seems like good timing.

Before the announcement and obligatory week-early code posted on their Facebook page?

That's kinda what I expect anyway. This is a mechanics change and a minor one at that.

I don't think the Well notices lowbies.
I imagine that the Freedom Phalanx TFs, the "full" panoply of villain SFs, and the CoOps will be on the list and that Katie, Hess, Moonflower, and the Shard TFs will not. Why? Because there are no villain equivalents to those TFs. The respec trials are a possibility as well.

As to the well noticing lowbies, you can have a one on one conversation with the well in Vincent Ross' arc, "Old Friends, New Enemies, and New Opportunities" between level 20 and 29. It's quite a nice arc. If you haven't run it, you should.

I want to just take a moment to drag the dead horse out for some good ole fashioned flogging.

Villains need a 30-35 Strike Force.

Aaaaahh that felt good.

Seriously, though.
