Yes, yes, and alil more yes!!!!!!!
Oooo and first after a red name, I better play the lotto tonite!! 
This is pretty clever timing for another Double XP Weekend. This'll give people about two weeks to give DCUO a try, get completely bored/disgusted by it, then come back to CoH and get caught up with any XP earning they missed out on.

I'm moving that weekend.

30th from what it sounds, they'll probably do server maintenance on Monday the 31st which will end the event.

While I love my alts dearly, I had forgot what fun some of my LV 50 were. I think they should also increase the shard drop rate for the Double XP weekend, after all is that not really XP to the Incarnates?
Either way I am happy, a weekend with the Alts never hurt me.
I'm sure I'll find a use for this 
It always brings players back too - are you planning on running a reactivation weekend at the same time?

The website says Thursday till Sunday but the link to the time and date says
West Coast is Mon 11:59 PM, London would be 7:59am Tuesday.

Is this a reinvite back weekend as well?
If it is I'm gonna start stealth installing this game on the computers of 3 explayers I know in RL who haven't been back since CoV launched.
I called 2 of them last reinvite weekend and told them, but they didn't wanna sit through a download when they could spend that time playing anther game.
Yay, I also wonder about the timing, since a certain game is going F2P on the 25th.
Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!

Nor do event starts and stops have to accompany sever downtime anymore. Events can be scheduled to happen while the servers are up. Like a flip of a switch.
That being said, they do sometimes schedule events to start and end with server maintenance as a matter of convenience on their end. Also, I've seen events stop at the very strike of Midnight (presents stop spawning) and some drag on for days past the scheduled end as if someone forgot to flip the switch.
I sometimes think they like to keep events going a little longer for other time zones and for people to finish up what they were doing. I sometimes think the scheduled end doesn't click in and they have to wait for someone to come in the morning and issue the stoppage command.

one comment and one question.
First awesome I plan to get two lvl 1 toons to 50. and glad I got weekends off on at my job.
Second does this include AE exp if not then time to run the all the tfs hero side in one night each.
does anyone if trial accounts earn the 2xp? I'm trying to get a friend to try the game thougt this might be a good time.
and again i'll be working the entire time Gahhhhh! Its been years since i've had time to do a double xp weekend. Lousy unsual work schedual (work weekends, off during the week)
Oh well, im not too fussed. now if it was also double drops... WaahhhhhH!!

For about 5 minutes. Then they'll be level 14 and not get any XP at all.

I just want to thank the person who chose the dates because I already had the 28th off from work for my birthday.
So I will be watching my super hero DVDs and playing City of Heroes all day (which I had already planned to do) and getting 2XP while I do it.
