In the early levels the personal attacks are useful because they build Pack Mentality. Later levels your pets build enough to make the personal attacks less desirable.
And yes your pets are def based, but there is nothing wrong with some layered mitigation. Though you may want to dip into the medicine pool for assistance. -
This is for the Beast Loving MMs out there, also posted this in Lady-Jade's suggestion thread:
Primal Mastery
Ancillary for MM
(in no particular order)
1)Animal Instinct - Tapping into your animal insticts you are able to dodge some incoming attacks. Toggle: Self +Def(melee, RNGD, AoE) The values of course would be small, but in the grand design still usefull. (VFX - Focused senses)
2)Snake Venom - Throw a venomous snake at a target. A short range Mag 3 Hold and some minor Toxic DoT. Has a chance of granting pack mentality.(VFX - Could use just about any hand thrust gesture)
3)Locust Cloud - You surround yourself with a swarm of locusts. These faithful creatures absorb incoming attacks protecting you from harm. Self Absorb, Long recharge, But has a high chance of adding a stack of pack mentality. (VFX - i would prefer a faster animating Steamy Mist animation)
3)Summon Lion - This king of beasts is known for its intimidating tactics. While invulnerable, has no attack powers. Summon Pet: Just like Spectral Terror, except not so easily perma, and stays by your side while it remains active...
a) Intimidating Presence - All enemies are watchful of this creature, yet are sometimes wrought with terror. Auto PBAoE Taunt, Mag 1 Fear
b) Terrifying Roar - The Lion let's out a Terrifying Roar, Scaring all but the toughest of Foes. PBAoE Fear
4)Primal Rage - Primal Rage is an offensive alternative to Fortify Pack. Activating this power will cause all of you pets to let out a burst of primal energy, causing damage to nearby enemies and has a chance to stun. Damage and stun %chance based on number of stacks of pack mentality. Pack Mentality is consumed in the process. (Note: Best used when pets and enemies are packed together.) Special AoE DMG, Stun
The only issue is how effective would Primal Rage be, for non Beast Mastery toons... -
Yay Beast Mastery! Now to wait for Cold Dom to be ported.
*Nudges devs* HINT! HINT! -
Not sure if i should put this here or somewhere else, but... Can we get the Metallic dress top usable while wearing jackets?

ty for ur input, i'll have to ponder these suggestions... like i said i have a weird dislike of redraw...
-
Was just wondering how an all ranged Bane would do? My plan, take Hover and stay out of melee as much as possible, but still soft-cap all positions; take all ranged mace blasts even from mace mastery; because i don't like the idea of redraw and for concept purposes i won't be taking any of the rifle attacks (i.e. Venom Grenade)... will this work or am i completely daft?
-
Thank you for suggestions. I'll look at the huntsman builds, and as far as MMs, I already have one of every primary. Checked out Fortunata which I liked, but I was curious, an all ranged Bane? All ranged mace attacks including Mace Mastery, good or not? (think i'll post this question on the SoA forums too)
-
I thought about that, but I am not a fan of that ugly backpack they have to wear.
-
I figured FF with force bubble or repulsion field to keep enemies away, soft-cap ranged/aoe... that would do. and it doesn't have to solo +4x8, it could simply be +0x8. Like I said I wanna be able to take on lots of foes without constantly faceplanting... that's all.
I think you may have read a bit too much into the "TW/Stone brute" part.
Quote:...I mean someone that can solo large number of foes, and isn't very click intensive. I've tried Illusion, but my problem is I get so wrapped up blasting and debuffing I forget to resummon PA, thus faceplant. Which is one of the reasons I like XX/XX, turn on Armors and simply attack, with the occasional Xpower as backup.
I think the easiest option would be a FF toon, but which AT? or is there a better option I'm missing?
any advise would be appreciated. -
I would like a ranged version of my TW/Stone brute. By this I mean someone that can solo large number of foes, and isn't very click intensive. I've tried Illusion, but my problem is I get so wrapped up blasting and debuffing I forget to resummon PA, thus faceplant. Which is one of the reasons I like TW/Stone, turn on Armors and simply attack, with the occasional Earth's Embrace as backup.
I think the easiest option would be a FF toon, but which AT? or is there a better option I'm missing?
any advise would be appreciated. -
Just wondering which is better for a stone(granite) armor character, tank or brute? i know both can get soft-cap, but it's easier on a tank and u can focus on other things like negating granite's -dmg. so the question is, keeping in my mind i wanna get them soft-capped, which will have a better dmg output at 50 tank or brute?
-
nothing about doms or anything??? such a tease!!
-
Quote:they're not on the same timer. i got to claim a villain merit for both today. The new signature arc is pretty interesting and fun, but I'm kinda bummed that the reward screen is shared between part 1 and part 2, and presumably all parts. They are different (albeit connected) arcs, are they not? You can't even directly link from part 1 to part 2, so it seems reasonable that their rewards would not be on the same timer.
-
force or kinetic assault would be great for doms, I have a character concept that I have but ill/ff just doesn't cut it. Course it would only work if they port illusion to doms anyway.
And yay for air bending blastyness! -
I foget all the time, which why I shelved my mind/psi... What is the bind for that? (sorry for hijacking)
-
Quote:so as it stands now I won't be able to solo GMs yet? This build isn't a complete build. You still have lvl 41 powers and slots to chose and place. DOH! You have said that above. Okay solo'ing GM's on this AT is not a challenge once it is at lvl 50. You will want to grab the right T4 Incarnates for this build as well.
-
unbound purchased and in place, haven't really tried it yet, so we'll see. here's my current build, the ios aren't exactly this lvl, but you get the idea. was wondering if it's possible to beat a GM yet or should i wait till PA is actually perma.
(Edit: she's not actually 48, only 37 atm)
