NICE!! looking forward to the x2 xp weekend, my lowbies need some help. Now time to stock up on redbull, coffee, crack, etc.
Happy B-Day to me - maybe I will finally get a toon to 50!

very glad to see double XP weekends, in other MMO's I play (when I'm not playing this one, which is very seldom) they have made double XP Saturdays and tipple XP sundays a reoccurring thing, every week you can count on it.
it'd be completely awesome if they become more prevalent here in our beloved CoH/CoV
Just to confirm this question. Double XP doesn't include AE, right?
Double XP has not included AE in the past, so it's likely it will not this time.
Any word on server transfers with this weekend? It has accompanied the last couple, and it'd be nice to have it again. With Incarnates, some of the 50s I relegated to the graveyard might be fun again...

Hmph, I could swear AE got bumped in the past, this changes things big time for me if it pans out that it doesn't.

Can we at least once get a x2 event thats not on the weekend? The world is now 24/7/365. Long gone are the 9-5 Mon - Fri norm.
How about a WTF party? (x2 xp, all special events active on a Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday)

I don't know about a WTF party but I know about TFSS one coming up :-)
I would like to seem them make the XP weekend a full week on different ones for EU and NA servers.
Just thought of something - this will be the first double XP weekend since they added the ability to log out to character select.
In the past if you were on a grayed-out server you didn't dare switch characters for fear of not being able to get back into that server. With this added feature, will you be able to jump between characters on a greyed out server without losing your connection to that server?
If so it could lead to a whole new level of people not being able to log in to play their favorite characters.
I would love it if a Red Name could weigh in on this.

I've had it fail to reconnect many times when logging out to character select, leaving me to log in again, so I suspect under the hood it does actually disconnect and reconnect. So, I don't think it should be any more of a problem than it had been.

Almost got my WS to 50 tonight on a Synapse, so should be a forgone conclusion - will probably continue on my dark/dark Corr (47) and see if I can swing 2 more 50s (for a total of 7) in one weekend.

edit: for clarity's sake, I'm pretty sure he is wearing a jetpack, and I can't tell if it is one I should recognize... at work so can't upload it anywhere...

I don't think 2xXP weekends have ever included AE experience, and I doubt they ever will, though I could be wrong on both counts.
As for trial accounts, I guess it will be good to show them the game during such a high population event, but like someone else said, they'll likely hit the level cap in an hour or two, and then what?
