Got it now, thanks. All you guys are saying is that if I am fully slotted for damage on a power, I can subtract around 95% of the cap to get the real cap for my toon, right? and 125% if I am using cardiac.
-
Quote:Sorry, I didn't understand that whole set of statements.Damage enhancements count against the cap as well, so your attacks will generally cap with 95%* less buff than is needed for the stat to turn blue.
*Or less, if the power is underslotted. Or more, if you're using Musculature. Replace 95% with the appropriate number for the power's damage enhancement, if necessary. -
I know that each character can reach the "damage cap", but I am not totally sure how to tell if I am there or not. Is this correct: I go to combat attributes, in the first section I look at "damage BONUS" and if that bonus percentage is blue then I am at the cap?
Also, if I am at the cap, do things like Hybrid still go higher or am I officially capped? -

I haven't been able to email mine. If I try, it won't let me.

1) If I am not slotting them, I don't see any way of having them except by keeping them in my tray. Am I wrong?
2) After summer blockbuster is over, do we know if there will be other ways to get these? -
Does anyone have knowledge: are the devs planning on giving us more than just Magi trial to unlock hybrid eventually? Has it been said?

I love the new temp tray that pops up. No more new players not knowing they have temps that are needed like in Lambda. Is there an easy way to use them without my mouse and pointer? Is there a ctrl-1 or something-ish?

Quote:Very helpful--that at least confirms a lot! Thanks. This is my recollection as well.
edit: Patch Notes 2010-04-28 Contacts give out their cell phone number sooner. -
Can anyone confirm? I am just curious.
-
OK Thanks. Good to know I didn't waste all of the travel time back then unnessarily.
-
I don't remember the answer to this--I started in i3 and it seems like I ran back to contact every time (especially prounounced when all of the Bricks contacts sent you to FF and vice versa and there was no train connecting them). Maybe I just didn't realize they were in place when I was a new player.
Can someone tell me if cell phones to contacts was added later (maybe i4, i5?)?
Thanks. -
Like most TFs/Trials, once players got used to "treespec", it became a lot easier. I never need respecs, but do the treespec when it is the WST--the xp bonus (1/2 level!) or the incarnate bonus make it worth it.

Really? Really? Then you have been on the wrong ones. I'd say when redside first came out this may be true for me, but the last, say, 30 times I have done one, we are done in about 14 minutes with no death. They are usually very, very easy now. IMHO

I suppose in the end, part of the answer is in what you are looking for? More defense? More recharge? More damage?

I am not a numbers guy, so I am sure someone can point to why I am wrong, but I have put my ATOs in the Targeted AOE powers because the other IO sets are pretty lame for those, so if my blaster has T-AOE, that is where I have put the ATOs so that I don't miss out on other sets' bonuses.
-
Yes, you're right. Those two powers use to be cool. ROFL
-
Right. For every Eden I have ever run, whether we free them before Titan or after, they are pretty much an afterthought. It was just nice to learn that they do fight and interact a little.
-
I was just curious what others are doing. I know some do [hasten], but I almost always do [secondary mutation] of all things. The only exceptions are things like [practiced brawler] where I feel I need that on auto.
-
Oh, no, they didn't follow. We pulled Titan to them and they fought.
-
-
My biggest interest in this is not the extent of help, but the story. I always thought it was SO WEIRD that we freed them and they weren't willing to help after this!
-
I started in i3 and this week is the FIRST time I ever knew that the Heroes will fight the Titan. Granted, these days you rarely would need them, but I never knew. Why weren't we using them back when it was hard? Maybe I just got (un)lucky enough to be on all the lame teams, but I never used them before.

I know many of us feel many powersets have major things that could use changing, but I wanted to talk about two powers that I used to find really cool, but now I don't. Both of these powers seem like they were a lot more useful back in the early issues, but don't sparkle anymore.
The first is [ice slick]. I remember how badly I wanted this power when I saw tanks taunt 40 minions to him and then we all watched them bounce up and down until we killed them. I especially wanted the troller version (in fact, are they called different names?). But now, when I do play my ice troller (which admittedly is rarely), I never even activate this power. Things are dead before I would finish the animation and/or it wouldn't do much for me. Too bad. It was a really fun power to watch.
The second is [granite]. Again, I couldn't wait to get granite! I worked through the levels (which was harder then) and finally got there. I didn't love being slow, but I loved how truly super I felt. Then things slowly changed and my "weak" fire tank can tank EVERYTHING. Why would I choose stone tank over others? It used to be my go to tank, now it is my "sit in the tray and never get played" tank.
