it's no different than when the initial slots were opened and we just had Baf/Lambda. Future trials will have future iXP and there'll eventually be a solo option ala Dark Astoria.
It's just going to take time.

1) Regular Content to get shards, covert to Threads, then Threads to the needed iXP type.
2) Run the iTrial to get the iXP you needed (BAF to get Psychic iXP and Lambda to get Physical iXP).
3) Run the wrong iTrial, and get threads, then convert the threads, for the neeed iXP type.
And you could of course mix and match those three options as much as you liked. Sure, some options are much more efficient than others, nonetheless, there were 3 options available.
For Hybrid, as it now stands, there is only 1. I'm sure there will be others later, but that doesn't do the OP any good at present.
Of course patience, I guess, is an alternate option to the Magisterium iTrial. And lest I be accused of being snarky, that is the option I'm using at present. I'm just running my other alts through DA and the other iTrials (and of course, leveling up yet more alts), and once other avenues open up to get Hybrid, then I'll start to pursue that on my alts that have all the others Incarnate slots already.
We only have one way to unlock Hybrid because of the vehement complaints made by players to avoid adding a new kind of salvage for it. If we had been able to use threads to buy Hybrid XP, many players would have been able to use the existing threads and salvage to craft a T4 Hybrid power in less than a minute, without running a single mission.
As a sop to solo players, the devs should have made DA arcs give Hybrid XP at a similar rate to the other iXP. It would take so long to unlock Hybrid that it would be giving nothing away.
On the other hand, farming Hybrid XP is trivial. If you run the first part of the trial four to six times you can unlock Hybrid. If your league is well supplied with participants you can easily do it in an hour or so.
