Three weeks, 4 weekends. I want this.
Oh, and I would really like a "snow day/week/entire event" which actually covers the zones in which would get snow if in reality, in snow. I don't want to have to travel to an alternate dimension to see snow. I live in Phoenix, so I already have to visit an alternate dimension to see snow so I shouldn't have to in the game.
I think an extra week would work. Four weekends would give us, oh... precisely -two- weekends that aren't holiday weekends. For students, this timing is fortuitous enough, but for those of us players who work a full schedule to pay for our $15 a month, the three weekends are the last weekend to shop/party before Christmas, Christmas weekend, and New Year's weekend. That seems an impossibly busy time to do much of anything. And then, once things slow down again, it's over? Winter -does- go thru February, you know. An extra week isn't asking much.
This appears to be geared to favor the younger set and their high-school/college winter break. And those of the younger set who -aren't- going out of town at that. That can exclude a lot of people.
If you're going to limit this to two weeks, why the two busiest weeks of the year? I'm chiming in with the "this event is unobtrusive and unique enough that it could easily go on quite a bit longer" crowd.
...And server transfers. Yes.
...And snow.

As someone who's always trying to play costume piece catch-up with alts, I would like to request an extension to the event. Along with an earlier start time next year. And maybe a new mid-summer event. Arbor day, even. Something in between Valentine's Day and the Winter Event to let us into the Ski Chalet. Does Statesman have a birthday in July? Lord Recluse? Emperor Cole?

So, does Baby New Year not award candy canes this year? Is that what I read? The Holiday synopsis says the only way to earn them is through opening presents.

This event has now become a real part of my Christmas holidays. Ever since 2006 I look forward to it, enjoy it and spend lots of time on the slopes just messing around.

The Lord of Winter mission appears to be bugged - when you click on the big present you get teleported to another zone at random rather than the Lord of Winter's realm.
Maybe this is the excuse they need to extend it.

So why did you release a bugged event? It went through testing the last couple weeks on Test Server. No one noticed that when you click the present it sends you immediately to MI or AP?

So lemme get this straight Lord of Winter and Snaptooth are still in the game right? considering the guide now reads the ONLY way for candy cane salvage is to farm boxes
I feel like such a whiny jerk for asking, but I was really hoping for some server transfers. Is there any chance we will get some soon please?

I'm really disappointed in the bugged Lord Winter event. Couldn't they have tested it to make sure it still worked before putting it on live? Really poor execution, in my opinion, made much worse by now fixing it immediately. I rarely have anything bad to say about Paragon and the developers, but this time they really dropped the ball.

As a Rogues, I was sent to Mercy Island even though I clicked the present in Atlas Park!
I hope this gets fixed this season, as I'd like to get the Lord of Winter badge on my badger.

What is the Lord of Winter event, anyway? I was on earlier and saw the Lady Winter option and the Snaptooth option from Father Time but I didn't see anyway to start a Lord mission. Is the contact/whatever in a different location?

Defeating him spawns a giant box. You need two+ full teams or one really, really dangerous team for the next bit.
clicking the box takes you to a timed winter zone where you can fight a super winter lord. He is surrounded by light balls that have peacebringer-style blast attacks and more get summoned throughout the fight. Additionally three times (at 25%, 50% and 75% health) he summons a new Giant Monster (winter guardian) that phases him out until the new monster is defeated.
So it is a really cool drawn out battle. I particularly enjoy it.

So, I may as well ask since I haven't seen any word... are there free server transfers going on? That was arguably one of the nicest things last winter event, even if just used to shuffle unplayed 50s away.
Any reason why the servers are showing a status of "UP" and it's not possible to log in anywhere? Keep getting the "That server is not responding - try another server, or try again later" message, on Virtue, Champion and Guardian so far...
