  1. To anyone having trouble installing, try re-installing .NET. Bothersome, but it worked for me.
  2. You're right, they are back now. Sorry about the fuss.
  3. Since the hotfix, all my e-mails have disappeared. I use my e-mail inbox as a sort of storage to send myself stuff, so this means I've lost a bunch of stuff. I could petition, but they will probably ask me what stuff I lost and I don't exactly have all that memorized.

    Is this just me?

    Server Downtime

Aww, give them a break. They are probably stressing out and panicking right now, doing their best to bring our game back.
  5. So we never got an answer regarding why half the toons didn't get the Christmas Cheer power?
  6. I feel like such a whiny jerk for asking, but I was really hoping for some server transfers. Is there any chance we will get some soon please?
  7. I think I found a bug.

There is room for a limited number of objectives on a map. Only 40 glowies allowed for example. Also, some spawn points are shared by multiple objectives. For instance, maybe you can have 3 allies or 3 escorts, but you can't have 3 of each.

The strange thing is that this seems to change depending on what order you select them. Add 3 escorts and then you can't add an ally. But if you add the 3 allies first, you can also add the 3 escorts. The latter does add an error, but it still lets you add them. You shouldn't be able to add them, right?

If you want to reproduce this, try:
Map Type: Caves - Mausoleam to Caves
    Map Length: Tiny
    Map: Random

Try adding 3 defendable objects. You will find you can't add an ally. Delete those defendable objects and add 3 allies. Now you can add 6 defendable objects.

You don't need to see other player's numbers in different attributes. No point in trying to want it now, since we've all gone 10+ issues without being able to, and we didn't have problems.
I don't understand people who say that information should be suppressed because they don't personally see a good reason to know it.

There are only two reasons why information should be suppressed. 1) It violates someone's privacy 2) It could hurt someone. Any data that does not fit those two categories should be as open as possible and I can't understand why someone would advocate to hide data simply because they don't see that knowledge as necessary.
  9. Other people are seeing them though. When I mentioned this to some friends, they thought I was crazy.
  10. I was talking to a friend about how odd it is that there hasn't been a single Praetorian event while I was online since i19 started, and she suprisingly informed me that they are happening once an hour. I'm not getting the Praetorian events in the chat window. I even tried adding it to a bunch of different tabs and it still doesn't show up.

I experimented with making one tab that has only the hero event messages, the villain event messages, and the Praetorian event messages. I left the game running for a few hours and that tab shows a bunch of Fire Alarms and Miner Strikes, but not one Praetorian event message in there.

    Is this just me?
  11. Alrighty, I checked and it has indeed disappeared on the toons that changed or re-affirmed alignment. Ho hum. I guess I didn't notice before. The ones it's broken on are definitely the ones that should still have it, so there is nothing WAI going on here.
  12. Awww, that sucks if it's really supposed to disappear. But I find it hard to beleive it's WAI when all it says now is "This is the First Visit String." Something is broken anyway.
  13. I went to the effort of saving the Halloween tip on almost all my toons. I assume that we are supposed to be able to save it, since it remained after the Halloween event was over. Except with the i19 patch, it broke.

The pumpkin is gone and now has the usual clipboad symbol. Instead of "A Whispered Rumour," it's called "Halloween 2010 Contact." If I click the "Investigate" button, it just says "This is the First Visit String." There is no option to play it, only "Reconsider your options."

Will this be fixed? I really would like to be able to play it once on each toon before next Halloween.

I got the respec drop a few weeks after GR came out. It's the only time I got it in over two years of playing. It does drop, it's just really frickin' rare.

There is nothing wrong with the software. All they have to do is change the session timeout. It would take them two seconds. For some reason they have decided not to. Maybe they thought it would be more secure to have a short timeout.
  16. So am I understanding this correctly in that the connection might be a little slower (for some of us in the EU at least), but since the server hardware will be faster it will sort of balance out? Maybe ITF and Rikti Raids won't be so bad?

Now what exactly is standing in the way of a merged server list? Was this the biggest concern that prevented it?

If you're going to be that picky, then I would focus that argument on capes.

I'm with you, I think MA is the best part of the game (and it's an awesome game already!). I think the best way to focus the devs on MA is to use it, talk about it, and encourage others to do the same. The devs will put the most resources in the parts of the game that are the most popular. In other words, keep doing what you're doing.

I know, but I kind of feel that if you want to play a member of a canon group like that, you should have to work for it, a la epic archetypes. Still not fighting against what everyone else wants though, just stating my reasons for what I said.

That's actually part of the reason why I want NPC pieces to be unlockable. If you have a Carnie sash, for instance, it makes a lot more sense to me that you stole it (or maybe "confiscated" it if you're a hero) than if you just have it. Still, if everyone else hates the unlockables, I'm not going to fight for them.

I do hope I'm not in the minority about wanting long skirts/robes, though.
  21. Okay, I guess I'm in the minority. Personally, I love the feeling of achievement. I could certainly do without it, though, if it's so hated by others.
  22. Are you sure that there are no laws from other countries that would apply in the case of virtual rewards? Because to even answer that question, you would pretty much have to consult a specialist for every single country.

This "high collared" cape thing you're talking about might be a bug, but it's also possible they didn't even get around to making female sized versions of those capes. I wouldn't strictly call it WAI because it sucks that some items were not implemented, but it might not be appropriate to call it a "bug" either if those items never existed in the first place.
But those capes are available on female toons. It's just that female toons have to do the cape mission to get them whereas male toons get them from level 1.
  24. Carnies, Carnies, Carnies, Carnies, Menders, and Carnies. Every Carnie costume piece please!

Also, NPC costume pieces are more fun when you have to unlock them.

I would consider NPC costume pieces to be #2 priority. #1 priority would be making all clothes (except maybe the bare chest) available to all genders.

A question: Is there any chance we will ever get long skirts/robes like the CoT have? I understand they cause some animation problems, but could we get them in some limited capacity, like the way widow costumes are limited?

P.S. I love what you've done so far, design team. Keep it up!
