Sure, they think it's fun to tell us that stuff about storks and babies when we're little, but we make them regret it later on.

"Not quite, no" is not the same thing as "Not quite no".

There talking about Miss Liberty, Ms. Liberty's mother. Shes the one who started Freedom Corps/Longbow not Ms. Liberty.

The Praetorian version of Miss Liberty was also called Miss Liberty. She also had pretty much the same morals and personality, until Dominatrix killed her heh. So it is possible for Praetorian versions of Primal earth heroes to have the same names.

Actually, Miss Liberty and Statesman formed freedom Corps, Ms. Liberty Formed Longbow

From the lore thread:
Quote:
Question I've been questioned for legitimacy for inserting a Longbow ally into a mission for my story arc which takes place in November 2001, 6 months prior to the first Rikti War (#71601). My detractor claims that Longbow was created after the Rikti War, though my own research only says that the group was founded by Ms. Liberty to fight Arachnos (which has been around for a long long time, even before Recluse). I can find no reference to confirm either way. Is there a date or timeframe in continuity when Longbow was founded?

Answer: Longbow is a division of Freedom Corps and was introduced in City of Villains. It was Ms. Liberty’s solution to her disagreement with Statesman’s policies regarding Freedom Corps. Longbow is much more martial and aggressive in its methods. I recommend changing either the time frame of your arc *or* calling the ally a Freedom Corps agent.

Is that still canon? Because I know the old version of Tyrant would probably just have said "lol, pwned by a n00b", I think the new version of Tyrant might have thought it was not so good for her to kill her mother.

Unless of course it was a case of "Dad, you're purposefully letting cities get destroyed so that people loose hope and turn to you as a dictator. I'm going to the UN Security Council to tell them." "Oh mother..."

This says that the Freedom Corps has no direct connection to any government agency, and was created by two private citizens. Longbow is part of the Freedom Corps.

-Rachel-
No it doesn't. That is, in fact, completely silent about any connection that Freedom Corps may or may not have to any other organization.

Like I said, this would technically mean your character is the rightful usurping ruler of the Isles.

Shouldn't this be something for Canon Fodder to provide answers too? (Hint: Please, more of that )

EDIT: I should note that "Tyrant" in it's original greek meaning is a title I think Cole might appreciate.

I' pretty sure there's no rule in place that says killing the former ruler makes you the ruler.

Most of the time the new ruler makes a big show out of finding and executing the assassin of the former ruler. (Even if they were the one who sent the assassin the first place. Especially if they were the one who sent the assassin in the first place.) Beyond some fictional gangs and tribes i don't know of any significant groups or nations where killing the old leader automatically makes you the new leader.

Dr. Todt's theme.

We could go over a few hundred examples in the history of the world where the new ruler of a nation stepped in, killed the leader and his allies, and became the ruler...

Actually there are probably thousands. And more that we don't even know about because they were lost to history.

Perhaps he was called Preatorian? It's a Roman Political possition, just a bit more saberrattle-ish sounding then Statesman. It would kinda fit then that the people would name the world after Hamidon in honor of his old hero name.
