Well... Do you agree with her that Arming Longbow is the duty of NATO as opposed to seeking permission to attack Arachnos, themselves?

Seems kind of an underhanded action that would almost certainly get them slapped by the UN.

Personal opinion on the issue, Ms. Liberty has major authority issues and a massive ego.

Longbow is nothing more than an attempt to get out of her 'uncle' and grandfather's shadow, after all she's been under the shadows of being related to Recluse and Statesman all her life.

Another belief is that anyone with incarnate powers from pandora's box, has a massive ego and a stick up their butt.

Statesman tells the Government he knows better, does his own thing during the cold war.

Recluse tells the world that he knows better, takes over Arachnos and the RI

Ms. Liberty, tells the government and her grandfather that she knows better, forms Longbow, starts operations in RI.

Tyrant? Reichsman? Do I need to go any further?

Well of course not - I prefer to be free rather than a slave

Wait, how is nearly getting killed on a mission the USAF asked him to take on "doing his own thing?"

Longbow is a division of Freedom Corp. and is likely funded in part by Statesman, it's really hard to think that he doesn't approve of it on at least some level.

My favorite part about Longbow is that they often burst on the scene shouting "Halt in the name of Longbow!" They don't act in the name of justice, or in the name of the law, or for anyone else. They act on their own accord and for themselves.

The thing about Longbow is that they're really just good guys by technicality. Their methods, philosophy and ethics are highly questionable, but they're fighting the bad guys so they get to call themselves the good guys.

Those were quotations. Parentheses are those funny half-moon things: (text here).

Well, it's a little bit more than that

For example, not everyone the Arachnos minions fight red side would be accepted as heroes blue side - for example, just because the Circle of Thorns might fight Arachnos on the Rogue Isles, that doesn't mean that the Thorns will be welcomed in Paragon City as allies in the fight against evil

I think the Technicality is that they are a direct arm of "Freedom Corps", not that they fight Arachnos. Their method, motives, and goal are all suspect.

It's for the greater good, citizen

No, you're both wrong. They're good on a technicality, but not for those reasons. They're not villains because other than taking an entirely extreme method of fighting their percieved evil, they don't do any of the stuff villain groups do. They don't rob banks, they don't kidnap civilians, etc.

That doesn't make them heroes, by any stretch of the means. They're vigilantes, not villains.

I thought there was no "Greater Good" which was worth committing evil towards..?

Or is that just your hypocrisy showing? =-P

Just another way to mock the loyalist stormtroopers

Have the ones you see in Mercy yellow box so they don't attack you, they'd be doing things like offering relief to the civilians living in the gutters of the Isles.
I would love to see this. They kind of do this with Crey (not very well) blueside, and I'd like to see them and the Paragon Protectors out earlier as "friendlies," too.

For the original post, though, I don't think Tyrant ever took a superhero name for one simple reason. I think he wanted the publicity, the "good name," and keeping a nice, "everyday" name like Marcus Cole would help the people in general see him as coming from them, instead of being a figure like Statesman set apart from everyone.

It's just done to make them feel more comfortable when they put "Emperor" in front of his name.

Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Ohhh... So then you agree that Longbow are one Palette swap away from being imperialist stormtroopers trying to force their ideology and beliefs onto a sovereign nation and it's ruler, recognized as legitimate by the United Nations, with brute force and no real and acceptable reason for being there?

Glad you've finally gotten your head out of your third point of contact! =-3

Thank you, for that. Don't know whether my aunt and uncle just got too caught up in the Funeral, for which they moved her from Georgia to Maryland, to tell this half of the family, or if they did it out of spite, or if they just figured we'd be too broke to attend the funeral and didn't want to deal with the ensuing argument about burying her in freaking Maryland when she spent my whole life in Georgia.

I'll link you to the Obit in a PM. It's actually how we found out. My sister was googling members of our family, yesterday, and BAM! Obituary. Pretty F*$@ed up way to find out...
