Tyrants Super Hero Name
I'm going to be a little smug, as my "Praetorian" suggestion seems to be winning so far.
It also kinda fits in with his insanity - like not only does he take over the world, but he renames it and his capital city after himself too

The assassin would only be eliminated when the new ruler is from within the the existing government, to add an air of legitimacy to the new regime. In coup, the old system is often demonized and the assassin made into a hero.
While I agree that its the best fit so far, the problem I see with "Praetorian" is that it seems at odds with the fact that his suit still has Statesman's patriotic themed costume as its base.
Tyrant's costume isn't red-white-and-blue, and the Praetorian Guard were the patriotic guard of the rulers of Rome, so I'm not sure how this is a problem with the idea.
You are right, I thought he still had the stars, and if it links to the Roman Republic Praetors and their guards rather then Emperor's guards they later became, it wouldn't raise too many flags pre-hamidon wars.
Not to mention the fact that Praetorian America was likely a bit less anti-Imperialism than Primal Earth. This is an America that elected Joseph McCarthy President, after all.

When did they elect McCarthy? Tyrant's bio makes a mention of President MacArthur, as in General Douglas, having been killed, but I see no mention of Joe McCarthy.
"I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes."
Ah, right, sorry, my confusion. MacArthur's not really any better in that quality than McCarthy, though.
Loyalists have a rather relaxed attitude to historical facts

I'll vote for "Praetorian" being his supername. It makes more sense than anything else that's been put forward.
Manticore! Get in here and settle this debate!
to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
I definitely think "The Praetorian" fits him well. And kind of leads to an Alexander the Great vibe, which is something he'd -certainly- want to lean toward.

Thats a lie, why would my emperor want the world to be harmed. He's only watching out for our best interests.

Well Shoot.
The Praetorian is a great name for him!

I won't argue that it is not. I can't think of another good name for him either so I will have to stick with what someone else has as good idea.
Tyrant's bio on the GR website does actually mention the Praetorian Guard during the Hamidon Wars, so the name seems to have been linked to him or to the fight against the Devouring Earth before he became Emperor.
