Again bringing me to my malaise over whether the venture is worth doing.

I have nothing to prove. I don't have a need to prove. I was more looking for the fun of the venture. You folks arent making the idea terribly fun at all, lol.
did you read your own post?

"I was willing to take up a challenge but there isnt really one being offered as a whole."
"I don't have a need to prove. "

so even if there was a challenge ( and I have read several but to your credit none of them simply said " I challenge you" )

you have no need to accept a challenge ?

if buying your way to #1 isn't fun, nothing we can do will make it fun.

however saying you can do it but won't; is hilarious to me. .. dance clown dance, tell me stories of how you have wealth beyond our scope ... and we'll all nod our heads and roll our eyes.

...

I challenge you!

In fact I'll make it easy on you! If facing off to the big bad 88's to too daunting a challenge let's go head to head, you Vs. me, player Vs. player, no holds bard race to the poor house. You Name the server and we'll both get a toon to lv 10 start a sg and burn some inf.

What I particularly love about "CHA" is that there was no possible way he could have written his whole name on the moon at that size and had it fit.

If it's only going to be fun based on the actions of others, then it probably doesn't really appeal to you very much in the first place. Find something that you DO think would be fun and go do that instead.

How much of a reaction can you expect to 'I could TOTALLY burn more inf than you guys if I wanted!'?

Really, it's like when a little kid wraps their favourite toys up in a spotted handkerchief, ties it to a garden cane, and announces that they're running away. Do you call the police and alert the media? No, because you know that it isn't going to happen, and they aren't going any further than their best friend's house three doors away. So you just tell them to have fun, and maybe make them some sandwiches to take with them.

ETA: Ha! I see seebs and Fulmens already offered the sandwiches.

This has generally guided me well through many activities in this game.

What's funny is that I logged in Wall Street Brawler specifically to invite Larker's toon. I asked "what's the name," and then turned about and there was this guy there in black and white stripes named Burney Madinf. I took a second look, laughed at a clever character, and then started running to the base to craft a couple of things... and Burney sends me a tell. D'oh! Should've guessed Burney Madinf was the guy I was supposed to invite. ^_^

That was so awesome that I'm going to start doing this on Infinity with the Slaxcave. Please send your tax-deductable donations to @slax.

I have been away from the boards for a long time due to RL issues but have looked in on this from time to time. Congratz on your first of many achievements

I'm about ready to start burning again, once all my holiday obligations die down.

A pal gifted me a year sub to 'some other game' he recently started playing again, but I don't expect it to interfere with my marketeering much.

Granny has chipped a little into the fire the past couple weeks, but I have
a PvP toon that I need to upgrade, so, while we have a 30M Prestige
cushion currently, I think this is a good time to look at that task.

She has some in reserve if need be though.

My favorite part of you Crazy 88s are some of the names your characters have.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

I hear that.

Also, working on another b so I can finally round out my contributions to an even ten. Wowie.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

This is why, when I described the project to my friend, I called it a piece of performance art. Or at least, that's what my billion was donated for.

I go out of town for a couple weeks and you all sprint to the finish line like zap. Pretty friggin' impressive. And here I'd thought that the last few ranks were going to take six months or something.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

Sounds fun Fulmens. Though the 2 Bill donation won't be necessary. I believe you will need it for your group instead.

The gauntlet is down. In fact the influence has been slowly flowing into the target SG over the last month'ish.

In double fact said target SG has a higher prestige count than the crazy 88's on virtue.

Said SG is not on virtue. Im sure it will be pretty obvious where it is

Looking forward to the competition.

Also note all previous "poser" type posters may officially eat their words.

Awesome! Good for you, I'll give you a golf clap when you get #1 on Freedom. I'll even throw in a bn or two.

Now if you ever choose to respond to any of the many challenges offered to you (I personally find it hard to believe you passed up the 'double-dog dare' challenge I offered you.) in this thread and take the #1 spot on Virtue, well then, I'll gnash my teeth like they have never been gnashed before!

are you ashamed of your sg? or just unsure of its name? or are you not a member of the sg and just making this up?
