Crazy 88's: O & M
I just roasted another stack, so we are at about 540 million lets close the gap before 2xp weekend

EDIT: Congrats to American Legion on passing 515 million. Last I looked you were at 504 or something. Go you!

So you think you're a hero, huh.

Is there a way to start a fresh inf-to-prestige accumulation challenge and monitor it? I ask this mostly out of intellectual curiosity.
I'm interested in earning rate (inf per day, for example) versus accumulated inf. If we could figure out a way to monitor a constant earn/burn rate rather than periodically people blow out their (large) inf stashes, I would find that interesting
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to keep such a contest honest, since it is so easy to exchange inf and items now with no paper trail.

In any case, I'm sure that plenty of people would just report their earn/burn figures to you if you asked, especially if it was For Science!

Death is part of my attack chain.
I think everyone above is being pretty tongue-in-cheek about the idea of people actually cheating at this. At least, I assume so.

I was not really worrying about cheating. After all, everyone has already won the game (what? you haven't gotten a 50 yet? or 2bn in inf? get to work!). But I am really curious if there were a way to follow a project that would measure the rate of gain of wealth rather than accumulated wealth without any incentive to cheat. I don't doubt that there is a few trillion of cash inf put away. But I'm much more impressed by someone who can generate a trillion rather than burn a trillion they already have.
I, for one, welcome our trillion-burning overlords, but I'd be more impressed by tens-of-billions-burning overlords who come to the challenge! *Note: I am neither of the above. I'm a chump in the inf generation game. I don't even have a billion left on ANY of my characters.*

Just got done respeccing my PvP toon with nice Purple & PvP sets over
the weekend, so I guess Granny can start talking with her investment
broker again and get back to roasting some more assets...

I've been rich, and I've been poor. Rich is definitely better.

For every seller who leaves the market dirty stinkin' rich,
there's a buyer who leaves the market dirty stinkin' IOed. - Obitus.
I just burned another bil. I think that earns another installment of Fulmens smackin' up a niche.........
OK, remember when someone had a PVP 3% Defense for sale and someone else overpaid, and the money all went into the burn pile?
I have acquired, at what may have been a reasonable price, a level 10 Gladiator's Armor, PVP, 3% Defense. If anyone wants to pay me a stupid amount of money for it, I promise to burn it all.
EDIT: It's crafted! So you are getting extra value for your money!

Probably not close to Crazy or Ebil but just did this:
You bid 48,205,249 on Silver.
You have purchased Silver.
You got 948,205,249 infamy from the Black Market.
You spent 0 on the Black Market.
Having an empty bid ending in 48,205,249 on the Black Market annoyed me immensely. Enjoy the windfall whoever sold me that Silver. Now my bids are 900,000,000, 300,000,000 and my own inf cap of 2,000,000,000. Still verging on Social Security/Welfare, but about to enter "Can afford Starbucks" once I hit a round 4,000,000,000. =)
Once I hit 5,000,000,000 I'll likely throw a bil into my storage SG's pretige bin (Cirque du Storage on Infinity redside).
Shine on, you Crazy 88's!
Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.
Infinity Villains
Champion, Pinnacle, Virtue Heroes
I haven't been paying much attention to this thread, but I see that PsychotiX is at 649 million prestige, so it looks like they're burning inf in a hurry. That puts them at #2 on Freedom.
*edit: and I just now noticed the new thread about it *
Link to the new thread. Should have put that in already. Terribly careless.

But in that case, all I can say is...
...what a magnificent triumph for Fulmens' visionary genius! {round of applause}
Still ROFL, ty ty *takes a bow*.
You know all I was really thinking i'd get out of ya's was a *cookie*. I simply didn't foresee how absolutely rich a couple of the reactions would be.
I understand most of the original interest on fulmens part was to burn inf from the game. I find for me its just more the fun of having another facet of the game to compete in. I personally dont even remotely care about achieving a high ranking for the SG. Its all about who's throwing more into it to win it. Heck, as far as i'm concerned, they could even take the SG's out of the main ranking list and create a sub list of groups with prestige count based on investments only.
