how many of those toons make use of the 2nd build?


i have 13 lvl 50 toons that i rotate playing.

9 of them use the 2nd build.

An actual question. Go figure.

Somewhere around 40 characters.

None use the 2nd build.

Of 35 Characters, I have Two that use thier second build (Widow and a Defender). Had two others, but they scrapped thier second builds completely and permanently, stripping out all enhancements.

Edit: With the first three posts, we're at 11 of 88 or 12.5%. We'll have to see how this goes with more data to follow.

He's been spamming the forums with an agenda to get a two free respecs from the developers instead of one. This thread reads like yet another attempt to push his agenda.

That's 11 of 123 so far or 8.9%.

Being only four players (the OP, Jetpack and wife, BBQ_Pork) that isn't a lot, but we'll see. I'll estimate that more forumites are less casual players than average and slightly more likely to use secondary builds, but I've no hard fact to back that up.

About 40ish toons and and a handful have two builds...mostly my pvp alts and a few others with low-high level builds.

I have 30 characters on my payroll, none of which for I use the alternate builds. Screw PvP builds. I'll beat your **** with whatever I got.

at present 66 characters, almost none use second builds.

Between 2 accounts I have 127 characters none of whom use the second build. Prior to the launch of GR I had close to 200 characters. I deleted a lot to make room for fresh ideas.

With a full understanding of what the OP is trying to do:

I have 70-some Characters (no 50s) scattered between 5 or so servers.
Only one, IIRC, uses the second build. That particular Character is a Thugs/Dark MM that works between normal (Build 1) and near-petless (Build 2) builds.

To the OP:
If you can't make due with:

• Freespec
• Vetspecs
• Trial Earned Respecs
• Recipe Respecs
• Pay Respecs

I've got about 24 characters on each of my accounts.

Two used the second build, and I never bother changing it.

One had a wide concept that called for him having lots of powers that change over time - so I gave him two different Epic pools.

The other use of dual builds was to make an exemplar build on my Stalker for running the Spy Hunt arc. I could do it with the base build so rarely bothered changing it when I ran the arc.

All my characters have a few vetspecs stored up, and hardly ever burn their freespecs. I hate respeccing. Having 50 characters means I'm rarely interested in perfecting any of them.

Limiting myself solely to my 4 currently active characters I can say only one of them will have a second build. My DP/Kin Corruptor will not be taking Speed Boost on her main build because I solo a lot and it's useless for soloists, but I can already hear the cries of despair that any future team will greet me with if I don't have it, so I'll keep it in reserve.

That's really all I use second builds for - making solo friendly set ups on characters with access to a lot of team support powers - so basically Corruptors and Defenders.

Lotsa characters. Pretty well all my epics use dual builds as they can be played quite differently (eg huuman form/tri form kheld, bane/crab spider).

A couple support characters have more solo based builds early on, but that kinda peters out as keeping two sets of enhacnments are a bother.
A few more have halk baked duo builds, eg for winter event with lots of travel.

I have 9 characters and out of all of them only my Arachnos Soldier gets any use from the 2nd build. Huntsman/Bane

Although I am thinking about getting a second build on my stalker for exemping purposes.

I have over 30 characters, only 1 has a second build. My main dark/dark corr has a build for TF's (team oriented) and one for soloing.

With new characters, I use the first build to level to 20 without using the fitness pool. At 20 I swap to the second build and grab stamina. That's the main use I get out the system.

50+ toons no second builds. I build it right the first time.

On Triumph, right now about 50 over 2 accounts
Other servers are pretty much retired characters, and theres another 20 or so.

Outside of Catwhoorg - who used a 2nd build purely for the ski badges none of them use a 2nd build.

60ish characters, once the GR experiments settle out.

Probably a dozen or so use second builds, mainly for solo vs. team builds on Defenders and my main villain (a fire/therm corr).

I don't need a second freespec for any of them, thanks.

I have about 50 characters. Ten of them have active dual builds.

And all of my characters have a number of veteran respecs available, none of which have been used, because getting one freespec every now and then has been plenty.

None of my non-50s use dual builds, though I have 4 or 5 50s that do (I have around 50 level 50s).

Assuming the OP is trying to make a push for a respec for each build, what's the big deal? We already get free costume tokens for each slot (which stack, might I add), and costume changes cost an absolutely trivial amount of inf, even for the more elaborate ones. Making respecs available for each build isn't a bad idea, especially when you consider you can't change powersets or your archetype when you respec.
