No, not a bad thing. It's good to have to adjust play styles now and then (typically I don't need to even use Spectral Terror). It may not be as fun on characters that don't have the same benefits (invisibility, 120%+ recharge, pets that steal aggro, etc) though. Or for newer players.

The mission really stood out from the rest of the arc. My reaction was "wow, if this is going to be typical of the new arc, I'd better adjust my settings" (not that x2 is even exactly a world-beating setting). Completing the mission was a challenge, but wasn't fun enough to want to repeat for half-a-dozen more missions either. But I went from having to pull out every trick I have to having Statesman as an ally. After which I zombied through, not even bothering to use PA half of the time.

I'm not seeing any progress on the badge on several toons. Is it awarding? Or just not showing progress? Thanks if you have time to look into this.
That does not have a progress bar. It would be similar to the Fire Fighting badges, that require both fires and hellions. After you beat the Hellions you have a sliver left, and seems like you will never get it, because you seill need 20+ fires to put out.

Bades like this should be like accolades. A badge for the Hellions Arsonists and one for the Fires. In the case for Vandal, each item should be it's own.

Well, that is a fair asessment, but I don't know how many newer players are level 45+.
If they power leveled, they kind of deserve it. The resistance at lower levels don't have the invisibility.

Yes, implement this OR Techbot's idea. Would be a huge QoL thing for me (and many others).

Good point - I realized after I wrote that that if you've actually played up to that level you should have gotten yourself enough experience not to be truly "new".

Okay, since I'm trying to get my DW badge, and am having problems...

Ran BOTH new Tina, and New Maria arcs, completely. When I finished my badge tracker said 12 of 14. Looking at the list Posi gave us, I didn't remember fighting Diabolique, or Seige in either arc. Went through and did their single mishes from Maria, and neither increased the tracker from 12.

Looking at the the list again, I KNOW I got Anti-Matter, Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Bobcat, Diabolique, Dominatrix, Infernal, Malaise, Marauder, Neuron, Siege, Mother Mayhem

I'm iffy on Chimera, and Nightstar I have yet to do, but will when I go for the Shrouded badge. Unfortunaetly the servers just went down, so I can't check to see if these two are the ones I'm missing or not.

Only reason I bring this up though is because I know I didn't get Siege through the two arcs, but when I did defeat him, my progress bar didn't move, so just wanted to add that in for more player feedback.

THe Seige and Nightstar that currently counts is the ones in the old arc. The Stand Alone mission ones don't count.

Diabolique was in the Resistance Tunnels with Infernal. Chimera is one in the early ones, with the beacons.

The second Firefighting badge (and probably the third one) now has two tracking bars, one for Hellions and one for fires. You'll probably have to click over to Defeats to see them, since the Hellions tend to rack up a lot faster than the fires.

I never even knew about the new Siege or the side missions. All I did was finish the new Maria arc then defeat Anti Matter.

Then run the old arc and defeat Nightstar + Siege for the badge.

As a mind/psi Dom I can understand the trouble some people have with both Nightstar and Siege. On both I had to use my favourite tactic where I pile on Lucks and Demonic aura to whittle their HP down to about 10% before I am defeated, then QUICKLY get back to them with another batch of inspirations (by which time they're at about 40-50% HP) and finish the job on my second attempt.

The only truly annoying thing for me was that I got Siege from the old arc, then quit the arc, THEN wondered where the badge was. I had to then do the old arc a *second* time (darn hiding wolves!) to get "Old Nightstar".

Oh well. I just keep telling myself I still need the Leader badge so repeating missions is a good thing

Originally, before GR dropped - u only needed 13 Praetorian AVs for the Portal Jockey Accolade. Now I see another has been added to make it 14. Originally, Mother Mayhem, Shadowhunter, and Tyrant was now required to get the Accolade, but we had to fight them to finish arc.

From examining your post, it appears that Mother Mayhem is now added as number 14 AV for gaining credit towards this accolade. So now I have to again a 3rd time go thru this story arc to defeat her to get my accolade, since i defeated her and passed her before GR dropped, and she didn't count.

This helps tremendously for me - since I had no clue as to who the 14th AV was. Ur thread helped. Thx. Back to soloing!!!!

I'm playing thru this arc with my newly-heroed Brute, and it is a pretty awesome.

Mild Spoilers...

When I first entered those tunnels full of Resistance and Clockwork. Well, first there's this long dim tunnel I ran down and didn't see anything for a bit, then I see some shapes, and realize they're Clockwork, patrolling toward me. Getting excited cuz I never fought them on my Brute... Then I see this giant lumbering thing slowly emerging from the dark with them. My first encounter with a War Walker...Holy Cow, it was generally freaky!!!

I typically solo at +8 and this arc will be no different, no matter how difficult. Actually, the difficulty of the Praetorian enemies is refreshing. My Brute is sturdy though, and I'm making it thru pretty well - have to change my tactics for some of these foes though...

Okay, now Spoil me... I'm doing the Black Swan mish where she's in her Shadow Dimension Chantry. Beat her once, but then I'm supposed to meet up with Stateman. I've combed the Chantry and those floating rocks back and forth and Cannot.Find.Him. Where is he???

He's not there. You have to find the disturbance (portal, whatever that thing is), which spawns an ambush. Defeating that should drop a clue (and you have to defeat Black Swan, of course).

Count me in with the folks that ran through the Tina Mac and Maria Jenkins arcs and only show 12 out of 14 AVs defeated.

There really should be some indication of which ones I'm missing in the UI, like someone suggested upthread.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. He filed a support ticket, and they told him he was still missing Siege and Nightstar. I know he defeated both of those, because I was teamed up with him when he did it. Definitely bugged.

I was running Maria's and Tina's arcs for my SG, for Portal Jockey. Having read about this issue, we followed up by doing the first 3 missions of Maria's old arc - ding! Dimensional Warder.

Was certain I'd done that. Anyway, did it again, then defeated everything inside the room got me a mission exit. *shrug*

Thanks

If you survive, you'll get it. lol
That's one way to do it. Another way is to the employ the classic badge farmer trick of completing like 99% of the mission and then simply reloging to reset it. Might take a bit longer but may be easier to blaze through for some people (like squishy soloers) than doing a "+0, x4" mission.

Of course the other, other way is to just simply wait for the Devs to let Prime Earthers into Praetoria.
Once in Praetoria it should be relatively trivial to finish that badge.

So far for me, I really do not see a difference. I mean I have done the arc before and now I am three missions into it the "new story" and so far I see nothing new. Seems like it is the same mish as before I guess I am trying to say.

I managed it fairly easily on +0x3 with my Blaster. Got the badge on the second-last spawn. Seers don't seem to have a lot of lethal resistance (thank you Devs).

The Resistance on the other hand....that was the most tedious mission I have ever done in my life. Move two steps. Wait to see if someone unstealths. Move two more steps. Ooops, missed a guy, back off, kite him. Shoot him twice, he stealths. Back off some more. Eating a yellow doesn't help until they're like ten feet away from you, which is waaaay too close for my tastes. It also doesn't help that the entire spawn stealths in sync; at least if they varied it up you could nail them with AoEs. I did make sure to count my kills though, so if the badge starts awarding retroactively I'll have it. If not....I think I'll wait until they let us into Preatoria.

siege is pretty dumb. i would rather have interesting mechanics on av fights instead of nukes, retarded amount of res and self heal.

Pulled that from the badge-data that's on Live right now, so that's the accurate list.

I was just trying to acquire this in the past two nights and ran into a little issue.

Did some Tina and did the new Maria arc and Bobcat and Battle Maiden did not count for me. Tried the old Maria arc to try and get them, but after Battle Maiden still didn't count, it seems something is off.

They are the only two I need to get this particular Accolade.

It could be something to do with the new models... not sure though.

This was on Infinity, on my main, Aibheil.

Just figured I'd post as a heads up for you.

Completely did New Maria Arc and her follow missions and the old ones thru Oro... No Badge..Sigh... My progress bar shows I'm missing one AV. No idea which one of them it's not registering, and I'm certain I've been them all at least once... some multiple times
