Black Scorpion and I are looking into the badge and checking if it requires OLD versions of the entities as opposed to the new ones.

It's not bad. Some thoughts:

* I found the mission in the Resistance tunnels to be the hardest by *far*, of course I had it on +0/x2 at that point (ran the rest at +0/x1, which was probably too easy).

* Help from allies will be appreciated on certain AT. It wasn't needed on my Ill/TA, but I think this will be very handy for other toons (I can't even begin to imagine doing this arc on my Emp/Psi before...)

* I think I liked the old CoT Infernal map better, though the red fog is very, very cool.

* Black Swan's Shadow Shard is maybe a little too shadowy.

* The Praetorian labs fit, but man, to they tax my machine more than the old maps (ok, not really a critique of the arc but something I've been lamenting in general).

It's too bad Maria wasn't reset completely as a contact. I'd done all of her missions before, but wouldn't mind going through all of the one-offs with the new mobs. Also might have been nice to be able to do her new arc w/o Oroboros.

I ran this yesterday with my Widow, so first time. I only have 11 of 14. I didn't fight Anti-Matter so that means two didn't count, sadly I don't know which two

It would be nice if the badge text told us which ones we are missing. It's a pain to go through an arc twice only to find you missed say Anti-Matter and you wasted time doing the wrong arc/contact.

We can't test the new version of Siege since I never saw him in the arc. If he's available as a one-shot mission from Maria I'll have to go back and test.

As for Nightstar, I'm sure it's a model issue. I've noticed the same thing with the Oro badging stuff. If I try to do the old Clockwork King mission from Oro and use the pillar to teleport to the contact, I get an error saying the crystal doesn't know where to send you. I'm guessing it's because the mission is referencing the old contact (which may still be somewhere in the world), and I can't be teleported to that location. Tina did it for the CWK mission, and Maria did it for the Marauder badge mission as well as A Hero's Hero arc. I'm gonna say that's probably because the old arcs have to reference an entity like MariaJenkins.old in order to keep all the arcs straight. Maybe the files are still pointing to Nightstar as a requirement for Dimensional Warder, but the new model is called Nightstar.new (or something to that effect). Neither the one in A Hero's Epic or the Shady badge mission from Tina (which uses the updated Nightstar model) are counting for credit.

I already petitioned AND posted about this in the previous thread.

Not only is SIEGE not in new maria, but the new version of Nightstar doesn't count, but the old one does.

The first time I played through, I did New Tina and new Maria and wound up with 12 of 14. When I got to Siege's mission, Nightstar counted, and Siege granted it.

In your case, you are missing probably Anti Matter at the end of new Tina (the one that doesn't teleport.)

Speaking of Resistance, we don't seem to have a badge counter for that one. Are we supposed to get it? Also, is there supposed to be a badge for Marauder's military invasion guys?

Well I knew I still needed Anti-Matter. I forgot Siege wasn't even in the new Arc but the Nightstar not counting I didn't know. Thanks That would make all 14.

I ran it on my Emp/Dark in beta without too much trouble (aside from a certain bug that I got a bit snappy about). I went through a lot of inspirations on the EBs, but nothing really out of line, I don't think. Granted, my emp is a little more offensively oriented than most....

But yes, it is awesome. I really enjoyed it, especially the parts where I was given a tough ally to help beat up the bosses.
Well, I did it with my brute and when I got to the seers mission I cranked difficulty to +0, x4.
If you survive, you'll get it. lol

I Ouro'd Tina's New Arc, I got Maria as a COntact did her arc, did the stand alone Seige and Nightstar missions. I have a ticketed sitting with senior support right now.

The only thing that disappointed me in the Arc is that Battle Maiden did not rez.
My counter says 14, before I18 it said 12. I know because I had 11 before I18 and for the life of me I couldn't figure out who I missed.

Speaking of Siege. As an AV he was impossible to beat with a team of 6. We had to call in favors in order to actually have enough damage/debuffs to actually beat him.

He has a Dull Pain like power which made him immortal if you didn't have enough DPS.

We had the following:

Tank Inv/SS
Def FF/NRG
Blaster NRG/? want to say EM or EleM but not sure. Not devices and not Fire or Ice
Controller Grav/Kin
Controller Mind/Emp
Scrapper Dark/Dark (Might have switched out for a Kin/Psi at some point, don't remember)

We were basically stuck until we called in a friend of ours on his Warshade.

He was next to impossible for me to beat solo (elec/elec blaster) as an EB. It took 7+ minutes and two Shivans, and I was down to my last trick to keep him from being able to kill me when he fell.

My Merc/Dark MM and Friends Rad Corr, duo'd him. Took awhile.

The badge forum has highlighted that Nightstar is only being credited for the old version. :-)

You should check that forum out, it has good info sometimes :P

Adding a comment to this, as this topic highlights an interesting QoL feature;

-Any badge that requires more than one badge/defeats should have an expandable list of which badges you HAVE and which ones you DONT HAVE.
-This should also apply to defeat x,y and z badges, such as the Praetorian Guard badge. I.E. it should list the required AVs, and highlight them once they have been defeated.

Just my 0.2

Agree 110%.

I helped my partner get the Resistance history badge in Praetoria. The one with has 20 clickies.

After we finished he was at 19/20. My heart sank, we had NO idea which one was missing and had to restart the whole process... :-(

Whole wads full of untargetable, phasing-but-they-can-still-attack-me, mobs are pretty dumb.

It was different, to be sure. Luckily I had PA (nearly perma) and Phantasm to both attack and distract, Oil Slick that I could light and even use as an anchor for Flash Arrow, and Disruption Arrow which is location-based. Popped out Spectral Terror for more chaos. Oh, and Deceive. Still managed to face-plant maybe four times (the first was attacking a patrol of Clockwork - I wasn't even aware the Resistance was there).

So you figured out how to beat them, and that's a bad thing?

While you are looking at badges, could you look at the Vandal badge? It's for villains who defeat 25 Hydrants, 25 Mailboxes, 25 Newspaper stands, and 25 Pay Phones in Mayhem Missions.

I'm not seeing any progress on the badge on several toons. Is it awarding? Or just not showing progress? Thanks if you have time to look into this.
