Discussion: City of Heroes Going Rogue Release Date Announcement!
Sweet. Nice to have a date finally.
50 Claws/Regen Scrap, 50 Energy/Energy Blaster, 50 SS/Invuln Tanker, 50 Robot/Traps MasterMind, 50 Fire/Kin Controller, 50 Ninja/Ninja Stalker, 50 Elec/Shield Brute, 50 Elec/Time Controller
Good to hear. I have a good many friends waiting on the expansion before they return, it's good to hear 'when' before they grow impatient and lose interest.
...It's also good to know that it's just a few weeks longer than anticipated.
Sweet. Now fix those loose updates about that which still say July

I have a 50 in every AT, but Scrappers and Dominators are my favorites.
Thank you! That's the day after my birthday, and the first day of a short little vacation I'm taking! Whooo!
Nice. Won't interfere with my vacation.
Aw, too bad my work (and school if I get in) both start mid august but I think there are weekends still left for me to play. Thanks for the information though.
Good to know, thanks

Someone might want to call Amazon.com. They just e-mailed me today about preordering, and they are a little more optimistic about the release date...

Between this and the Official Market Merger of Awesome, this is a great day to be a CoX player.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

One last thing for me to be 'wowed' by....
LOTS of new mission map/tilesets for all of CoH/CoV and not just the first 20 lvls in Praetoria!

And when I said it there was no way GR would be out in July people thought I was trolling. At least there will be two weeks of playtime before school starts...
Edit:
Since it will be released a month later is anything planned in between that time? Double XP weekend? Zone events? Invasions? Better yet how about 2xXP from July 20th-GR release date?
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?
Arc Name: Tsoo In Love
Arc ID: 413575
Any chance for free character transfers again before the release?
heh I knew GR would be released when I was going to be away. Mind you I think having a lakeside cottage for a week easily trumps ANYTHING.

Couple more interesting tidbits:
With less than two months until the launch of City of Heroes Going Rogue, many of our partners are working to promote Going Rogue.
If you visit the AMD Games site at game.amd.com, you may see some familiar faces. Or check out Razer Zone, where Going Rogue is now one of the featured games

I don't understand. What is this?
It's... It's not...
It's not...marketing, is it?

NCsoft and Paragon Studios are proud to announce that players will have the opportunity to walk the line between good and evil (or cross it), on 17th August 2010 with the release of City of Heroes Going Rogue. City of Heroes Going Rogue is the second paid expansion in the City of Heroes® franchise. For the first time in any super-powered MMORPG, the moral choices players make will affect their characters' game play experiences. Heroes can fall from grace to become villains, while villains can redeem themselves to become Heroes. In addition, players can now access the alternate universe of Praetoria where they can enjoy new missions, zones, costume sets, fight new villain groups, and play with new power sets including Demon Summoning, Dual Pistols, Electric Control and Kinetic Melee.
"I was proud when we launched City of Heroes® back in 2004 and even prouder when we unveiled the City of Villains® expansion in 2005, but Going Rogue is by far the best work that this team has ever done. Paragon Studios has distinguished itself as a premier studio committed to excellence with every issue and we've raised the bar on this expansion. I'm so honored to be a part of this team and I believe that our players will be absolutely amazed when they see what we've done." - Melissa Bianco, Lead Designer of City of Heroes. City of Heroes Going Rogue will be available as an expansion-only, or as part of the City of Heroes Going Rogue Complete Collection, which includes both City of Heroes® and City of Villains®. Both versions of City of Heroes Going Rogue will be available from the NCsoft store. |

And yet, those of us using ATI 5xxx series cards still can't use FSAA and AO at the same time.
