You see on the remarks above... and I completly agree on that... that the original design was faurly broken then. And if that was the original design there wouldn't have been more then a few LGTF completed since start of that TF.

When numbers on enemies gets changed you really need to test. Really really... or do the appropriate math!

A special AT needed in a TF is ok... but it will never be fun if you need more then 2 of that AT. Team building, expecially on the lower populated servers, is NOT that easy if you need certain AT's. As I see the remarks above... to keep this a fun TF the mezz protection on the Greens shouldn't be any higher then 20!

If you need any more proof... Check/monitor how much the LGTF gets started... and finished over the next few days and compair that to before. You will see that it has now become a dead TF.

You might also want to take a look at regular npc critters with mez protection toggles, specifically Calibans and Gardvords of the Trolls (these are the only ones I've noticed so far). Once they activated their toggle I was unable to mez them.. even after stacking successful holds. To me.. that is unacceptable on a Lieutenant rank critter, 3 successful hits with my hold and he was still beating the crap out of my buddy..

Having wasted 2 and a half hours to get to the stage where we were down to the green mitos and find ourselves utterly unable to hurt them (our fault for turning the difficulty on the earlier missions to stupid and killing everything although we ran that one on +0), I can't believe this change.

I really disliked this mission before the change as it basically means that some ATs might as well not have one of their powersets due to the untyped damage. It often turns into a debtfest on PuGs anyway.

With the current change it just means that the TF may as well not exist as it's completely useless to any normal group.

Revert it as it was, it was not easy before, particularly for PuGs.

Also please put a GMotd up saying that the TF is horribly broken, so more groups won't waste hours of their time getting most of the way through the TF before finding it's impossible to complete.

A datamining on tf's started and on those completed is needed. Compaired to time spend on them.

Then the merits can be re-evaluated.

ps. Those who make Mission Architect mobs know how easy it is to screw up. I recently made a perfect ghost mob (I thought)... with Dark Blast / Dark Miasma. On all incl minions. Ended up with every ghost doing so much -acc that the mob was completly untouchable. Noticed that directly in test though.

Redside is woefully lacking in TFs; and the LGTF is one of the very few they can do. Well not any more.

I'm aware Dev's standard answer is soon but I'd like a bit more definition because of the Dev's recent habit of not following through.

Dr Aeon's stated "we will change the MA system in i17 or just after so that destroyable objects etc don't penalise players", a month later by Ghost Falcon changing that to "it'll be with GR". So forgive me I take "change in some future update" with a pinch of salt.

The MA alteration which was supposed to fix exploits hit non-exploiters more than the farmers. The announcement by Aeon hidden in the MA Lore section was at least an attempt at communication. Shame any goodwill that created went out the window when it was decided not to bother sorting out the screwup for another few months.

And here we are again. You messed up a TF/Raid. Then in the process of 'fixing' it, you make it undoable.

"Some future update" isn't good enough.

I like CoX, but recent issues have been shoddy (costume issues, TF broken, lag when zoning out of the base, MA mess). Communication, poor. Response to bug-reports, very very slow. I'm sick of bug reporting things and receiving standard emails from a GM who seems to be unable to read what I report.

An MMO constantly evolves and I can respect that. But I have no respect for poor forethought, lousy testing and an inability to remedy something which is messed up.

Raise your game, please.

You could drop the protection to 0 and it would still be more difficult than it was when the Greens held themselves. Magnitude 50 is so far off the charts I have a hard time believing this is for real.

actually castle just bump up the protection, for far too long weve had it good here. We need to be punished. Show us some FF11 love, could ya throw in some -xp too for defeats?

I don't get the removal of XP from the Origin of Powers arc. It's ALL FedEx missions until the end. That's a lot of time sink for no reward.

Bottom line: Castle, I know you're fussing with the numbers trying to make it more difficult/balance out the previous inequity (in other news, there was in an inequity?), but using LIVE as your testbed makes no sense. Put the changes on TEST and work it out there with the test server playerbase before you call something that's obviously a bug of scale a "working as intended" choice. LIVE isn't your new "test server, lol".

As expected, the devs fixed the bug, threw tokens at the damage it did, left it to the player's to spend their own time repairing all their broken costumes (which actually can't be done in some cases due to costume parts that disappeared in I17), and downplayed the matter by making just two vague (and even somewhat misleading) statements regarding the issue.

Would it have killed you to include a statement that you're aware that the bug is going to result in a significant amount of time lost for many players and to say "Sorry for the inconvenience"?

Slow down and quit running people over in your rush to get GR out, or at least have the decency to apologize when you do trample someone in your haste.

As I thought that this was WAI I didn't bug them but I completed 2 Defeat X missions without getting mission rewards:
"Scan Vahzilok for disease info" (Defeat 15 Vahzilok) from Dr. Ann-Marie Engles
"Seek clues to Lost's plans" (Defeat 15 Lost ) from Guy Denson

I'll bug this in game when it happens again.

I'm seeing a worrying trend here. It seems like our devs at Paragon Studios are way understaffed and overworked. For so many issues now, the updates have had more potential than polish. Castle now seems to be on a drive to carry out retrospective QA and to micromanage all the deviations from original design PS's new hires have made -- apparently without understanding what things are like in game until they are pointed out to him by players (c.f. shield, LGTF Hamidon) -- while basic QA has been basically absent in spite of all the sweeping changes that have occurred.

GR is the obvious culprit for the crunch, and devs have invoked it as a reason why certain things end up on the backburner; but as GR gets closer and more GR-critical features such as ultra mode make it onto live, we find that they, too, have yet to receive the meticulous care some of us had been optimistic for.

What can we expect in GR? I know the bar is kind of low in this industry, and CoX/PS are doing comparatively well, but I think everyone, devs included, deserves better.

Remember when COV went live? Remember the several months afterwards spent bugfixing the messes it made? I expect GR to be at that level. Adding a ton of new systems to a 6-year old base can't be pretty.
