So you do want the middle of the country to get left out?

This comment makes me want to vomit and is why I am not a Cubs fan...

They got their love in Boston...now they get sloppy seconds too.
They were at Gencon a few years ago FYI. I did meet Libris and a few others there.

BEsides, we have a big M&G coming up here in Chicago anyway.

Hey Shecky,
Just curious--was there any thought to making the Chicago M&G during the weekend of WizCon?

I had thought about it, but with Wizard world the weekend after Gencon, I decided against it. July 24 seemed like a good date for it.

While this is all well and good DJ and I may actually attend now that I am aware of its existence. I failed to find the part listing the Devs that will be attending and any topics/info they would be discussing. I think its a bit apples to oranges...and the New York choice is still Bullpucky.

The Revenants and Vengeance Imperium-Triumph, Champion & now flavoring Justice!

Tanker Tuesdays & Brutal Thursdays. If you like fun, look'em up!

Shhh! Rangle is plotting.

As usual, the real issue gets overlooked.

It's not that they are going to the east coast for the second time this year. It's that they asked /us/ to pick the 5th stop and then ignored us.

What, like...5 people...said New York? At most?

And how many said midwest?

So, really, they /don't/ want us to have any say in where they go. Seems to me they had already decided and they just hoped that we'd all say, "Hey, go to New York" and then they could be all like, "See? We're listening to you!"

Hogwash.

They only look good the 10% of the time that what they have already decided and what the majority of the playerbase wants is the same.

Anwyay...I'd rather be playing...

+1 for NYCC, it's my home town, I'm attending and certainly appreciate their participation.

That said, I regularly attend PAX and SDCC, so I do hope the other big cons in the south and midwest get some love as well.

I have to express my disappointment that COH is not going to be at Dragon*Con again this year it seems. As a member of the panel last year, There was an over-flowing room full of people WANTING to know things we couldn't answer. It seems that the most we get every year is a bunch of stuff to give away -- little if any is actually City related. There is always an excuse that you can't come *THIS* year. If I wear a COH t-shirt (which I have to make myself), I get tagged time and time again by people asking if I'm with NCSoft, all weekend long.

PLEASE don't bypass Dragon*Con again this year. Send someone at least to see what you are missing. SONY didn't. Champions has been here. Why aren't you?

Sorry that their choice was not to your liking. However, this was not an election. They clearly stated that they already had a site in mind but wanted to get feedback from us.

I imagine that our feedback will be used going forward, as mentioned in the follow-up post by EMPulse.

Dragon*Con has a date conflict with PAX West this year, and they already committed to PAX West. It sounds like Dragon*Con is a strong contender for 2011 tho....

Wow, I missed the announcement of the 5th location!
I am very happy to see you're coming to my town!
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Yeah... But when a New Yawka "suggests" something... it holds more weight!
(Just kidding... and I am sorry that people in different places won't get to have a meet and greet near enough to them, but such is life. New York is, obviously, a pretty solid choice and the NYCC is a great event)

Just make sure that your panel does not get scheduled against The Venture Bros. panel...seriously. That event is crazy popular!

Looking forward to hanging with you fine folks in October. Hopefully your events are near the hotel I am staying at (The New Yorker).

This time we can recognize you correctly!

Certainly that's true, but I still feel a better tack would have been to go ahead and let us know that NY was the frontrunner, mainly due to its distance from the anticipated release date for GR and that Indy and Chicago, for instance, couldn't work because that'd be right after release, etc.
Just seems a lot easier and straightforward.

Just wanna say I'm a New Yawka and am giving serious thought to signing up for NYCC solely for CoH-stuff - but have a few questions - well just one really - How does this kinda thing work?

I've never been to a Con or a Meet & Greet - so do you have to have tix for the NYCC or does the Meet & Greet take place outside? Should I expect to hear about other NYC CoH events that week? (official or unofficial e.g. Just Gettin' Together for Beers). Where will that info appear?

Any hints or tips or linkys for a Con newb would be much appreciated!

P.S. in an earlier post Shadow Wail asked about a post-M-&-G get-together, I'd be up for that. Depending on budgets, I'd nominate the new Ink48 hotel just a dozen blocks north of Javits Center, specifically the Press Lounge up on the 16th floor.

I too, would vote for Columbus, OH. Great city for a great time. Definitely would attend something in Columbus. (For future reference, since they have already decided that NYC is where they want to go ::gags repeatedly:: Sorry if you live there [really sorry], but not interested in NYC at all.)

Because you know there is nothing to do in New York. Oh well naptown will stay drowzzzy alittle longer.

Heya Roberto,

While we time our Meet and Greets to correspond to a show, the Meet and Greet is a separate event that doesn't require a show pass to attend. We're throwing the party, and we want any player who wants to come to be able to show up not just those who attending the con!

As to other details, we usually announce our specific plans closer to the show date. If players want to throw their own events now is a great time to start organizing them though!

You know, I could swear I replied to RobertoLyon's question in this thread last week.

Is there a way to tell if one of your posts was deleted for some reason?

I found your Reply unhelpful and a little hurtful so I wiped out the internets and started over from scratch!

Just kidding - thanks for your alleged Reply!

You are totally imagining things...

Unless you're offering a bounty for such information.

(I actually remembered seeing something along those lines and... well, yeah... tracked it down)
