Wahooooooooo!!!!!

New York Comic-Con is awesome and will be a great venue for CoX. I have attend it the last two years and I am amazed at how well run it is. This is a fantastic venue for you to showcase the game and its expansion.

Just make sure that your panel does not get scheduled against The Venture Bros. panel...seriously. That event is crazy popular!

Looking forward to hanging with you fine folks in October. Hopefully your events are near the hotel I am staying at (The New Yorker).

Go Team Venture!

When will we have an idea of the scheduled panels events? Odds are I will only be able to go 1 day and want to pick the best one CoX-wise.

Well, seeing as I am in Hawaii and have no way I could attend any of the Cons I guess my opinion doesn't mean much, BUT it seems that something a little more "central" in the states would have been better than another coastal event. Spread the wealth and all.

Anyways, Grats to the NYCC crowd.

Have fun out there. Hopefully next year we get you in the midwest.

Just remember, they can only do so much, and no matter where they chose, people would be disapointed.

Think like a sports team that didn't win, wait till next year.

Besides, the east coast does need some love.

Echoing Coins sentiments.

The very first year I attended the London Film and Comic Con there was an NCSoft stall, and although i was already playing Guild Wars, CoH had never even appeared on my radar until I had a go, and picked up a trial account.

It is also technically near(er) to the East Coast.

In all seriousness, not knowing what cons are where the in the states, knowing how big a place it is, it would be nice for the middle american players to get some love, theres alot of mileage between those coasts.

Seems like the Devs want suggestions on where to go for new 'Player Meets' and yes, those of us in the EU theatre are feeling the cold shoulder a bit, even though there are plenty of conventions over here which NCSoft could attach itself to. This list is pretty UK-centric as I'm not even sure what's going on in the rest of Europe con-wise, so there's probably even more!

Midlands MCM (Movies, Comics, Media) Expo
Telford, UK
February & August

Bristol International & Small Press Comics Expo
Bristol, UK
May

London MCM (Movies, Comics, Media) Expo
London, UK
May & October

UK Games Expo
Birmingham, UK
June

Eurogamer Expo
London, UK
October

British International Comics Show
Birmingham, UK
October

All of these are pretty big affairs, especially the MCM Expos and EuroGamer. The London MCM Expo's got 41'000+ attendees over two days at the last show, compared to SDCC's 125'000+ attendees over FOUR days. Maybe we'll see you next year? Perhaps? ....Hello?

Let me enlighten you about more possible EU places apart from the UK ones:

- Barcelona, Spain: FICOMIC (International Comic Fair and Exhibition), last edition took place May 6th to 9th... more than 100.000 visitors

- Leipzig, Germany: Leipzig Book Fair, it took place from March 18th to 21st

Since the decision was made more than 4 months ahead of time, unlike PaxEast, and since the bulk of the work on GR will be behind you, unlike PaxEast, is there a possibility NCSoft will have a booth at the show as well as do a panel and M&G?

NYC is close enough that I can take the train there pretty easily, and October is far enough away that I don't yet have any plans for that weekend, so as far as I know, I'll be there!

Awesome, I can't wait to see you guys in New York. I honestly hope my wife will understand that I will have to cancel any and all important engagements just to meet you guys.

Time to nerd out.

I'm just glad that it was announced early. The Boston MA meet and greet was announced too late to buy tickets. I would have gone if I had more notice.

Hearing this 112 or so days before the con is a good idea. It's plenty of time for me to decide whether I can make it out to NYC or not.

Now being from Connecticut I think NY is a great venue. However, I'd also like propose a European stop as well. They seem to be a little under appreciated.

No love at all for us in the middle I see. No surprise I guess. We've never gotten any before that I know of. Guess I need to get cracking on my earthquake machine. Then I can drop both coasts into the ocean and you'll HAVE to do cons in the middle! MWAHAHAHA!

Also, might wanna start thinking about moving Paragon Studios to safer ground. Just sayin'....

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

Possibly, but I would have reserved my nerdrage for another topic if they had chosen say Atlanta, Dallas or even Europe (someplace NEW) let alone Indy or Chicago where I could attend. Unfortunately they chose to go back to an area where it is very feasible for people to get a double dip. This is like saying "Hey, good news! We will be in San Fransisco AND San Jose! Come see us!" It's Bullpucky...

Part of Paragon's issues with the gaming cons is their somewhat...last minute attitude about showing up.

A month or two before GenCon/DragonCon is NOT the time to decide you want to go as an exhibitor.

So we get a bunch of costal comic cons that get some loving.

<BuzzkillVoice>Huzzah...</>

Because everyone who plays CoH is a comic book fan living on the left or right coast. Demographics show that NOBODY reads comics or plays CoH in the country's interior. They're all savages who thump bibles, drink nasty stuff like Schlitz and Hamms beer and play CO when they're feeling REALLY masochistic.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

For what it is worth, NYCC gives them the most bang for their buck due to its content AND size. Also, it is a great venue to showcase the game as DCU Online is going to have a large presence there.

I am not saying that I do not want the middle of the country to get left out. However, I can totally see the rational behind choosing NYCC as an event to attend.

Pardon me good sir, I am quite offended that you would sully the good name of my favorite malt beverage by including in a sentence referring to the misery that is Champions Online. You wound me...GOOD DAY SIR!!!

Unfortunately, this isn't real surprising with the vibe more and more that GR was going to be "late" summer. I would imagine date had more to do with the choice than anything. Wish I could afford to do NY--really like to tell Quesada what I think of his editing skills.
