Future Super Booster Ideas
I'd like a vehicle-based booster pack. Why?
I want my Batmobile.
I want my A-Team Van.
I want a crazy motorcycle.
I want my Petercopter!
I don't want all of my characters teleporting, flying, leaping or superspeeding with rocket skates (I really want to get rid of those rocket skates, too). Some of them are more down-to-earth, and have to get by on the normal gifts they've got. It would be nice if they didn't have to rely on the Raptor Pack to get around.

Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Really don't get your hopes up on that one. The devs have said, multiple times, that vehicles are not within the limits of the game engine to do well.

I'd love to see something a bit more pulp sci-fi. Rocket belts/packs, bubble helmets, odd antennas and some sort of one-off ray gun power. Maybe a stun ray or something like it. Which, I think sort of matches up with somebody else's Alien booster upthread.
I'd also like some more Armored options, be they medieval or tech-based. But, I'd rather they put more of that in the regular options, than booster ones.
Plant Booster!
-New Costume Pieces: Tree costume set(includes bark skins, gloves and armor, some root feet, tree leaf gloves and head) Rose Costume set(includes flower petal mane head, petal gloves, a rose stem skin, leaf and rose thorn belt, rose thorn and rose petal shoulders and a more flowery root boot) and more! New emotes: root self emote and wither emote New persistent Auras: shed leaves( whole body, head, gloves, gloves and head), shed petals( same as shed leaves), Release spores/pollen( head, head and gloves, gloves, whole body) New power customization: New look for Spines and Thorn assault. Thorns that look like actual rose thorns, pieces of bark, and even sharp leaves New power: Photosynthesis: very minor heal and regen boost(for 1 min) very VERY minor. Harry_Canyon, i loved your format so i stole it :P |
I would also love to see an Accessories booster pack. I want traditional jewelry, armbands, headdresses, barrettes, sashes, etc. I really feel like we could get a lot of variety out of a pack like this. (For example: Armbands could have jewels and ancient markings for fantasy/magic feel AND there could be an option that are high tech looking with circuits and lights, etc.)
Bah only one vote for my Enemy Mine: NPC costume parts booster...it appears I shall have to try harder on the campaign front!
Oh I'd love that as well Doc, I just don't really have my hopes up that it'll happen. If it does I'd be THRILLED, I've always wanted to make a Carnival Ring Mistress, and having access to the mask as an individual piece could make for some interesting character costumes/concepts. Also custom AV's in AE that could have actual enemy group costume pieces could really help canon arc writers.
They could have a series based on time periods:
Stone Age
Dark Ages
Renaissance Age
Modern Age
Future... Age?
What about Old Age?

Yeah! We need out "take Metamucil" and "stay off my lawn" emotes!!
Also, cane as an option for mace.

Actually, I would have liked a couple Middle Age faces a while back. I know it's tradition not to have parents in comics, but it would still be nice to have something between the twenty something regular faces and the eighty something older ones.
The Abrams is one of the most effective war machines on the planet. - R. Lee Ermy.
Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.
How about a Farming Booster? Biboveralls, big straw hat, a Rake weapon....I mean if we have to farm for, err, "Phat Loot", we might as well look the part
Lisa.
So don't wait for heroes, do it yourself

I would love to see some more wing costume parts, maybe take all the ones that exist and add some new ones and put them all together as a booster pack, and have a temporary and limited flight power usable from level 1. A really slow and height restricted that runs out once you reach level 12.
I'd kill for any super-boosters that unlock emotes, costume parts, powers...etc for enemy groups within the game. In fact I even thought about it in terms of an alternate origin series about releasing enemy group related pieces. Like a Science-booster containing stuff for groups like the Vahzilok, Crey, Rikti. Or a Magic-booster for Circle of Thorns, Legacy Chain.
I do have fun trying to make characters more linked into the lore of the game, and if we could get boosters containing official player-costume pieces and powers to replicate some of the enemy groups would just be sweet.

As for the costume change you're looking for, I'd suggest "encase" where the piece rapidly snap over the current costume, like super powered armor encasing each limb and then torso and head.

Or, better yet... New Booster: Pimpin' Ain't Easy!!
Costume parts include this, and this (complete with shoes).

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:
Private Investigator:
Costume Pieces
- Fedora (a proper one!)
- Cloth Trenchcoat, with waist belt
- Tattered Suit (with leather elbow patches)
- Deerstalker Hat
- Greatcoat
- String of Pearls chest/shoulder detail (female) - Because Miss Marple was a PI too!
- Hip Flask Swig (for the noir detectives)
- Magnifying Glass (Suitable for Sherlock Holmes/Velma-style detectives)
Either
- Networker: Basically a long cool down (same as Mission TP) power that teleports you to a contact/broker in your contacts list.
- Camera Flash: A Single Target, click power, that does a camera emote (a proper one, not that hideous Box Brownie that currently passes for a camera!) and inflicts a large ToHit Debuff on the target. No damage, obviously, unless it was some kind of Special Vs Ghosts thing, but that's a bit too much like another game...
Gambler:
Costume Pieces
Vegas-style Egyptian gear:
- Egyptian Headdress (male and female)
- Serpent Bracelet (glove)
- Serpent Anklet (boot)
- Cotton Skirt/Kilt (Female and Male, respectively)
- Kohl Make-Up (male and female face pattern)
- Hieroglyph costume pattern
- Croupier Hat (those sun hats with the plastic-y visors, forget the proper name)
- Waistcoat and Bow-Tie
- Silk Shirt
- Fluffy Dice chest detail (for jackets, so similar to the Bolo currently available)
- Bone Roller (that actually sounds rude in my head...) - Similar to Mystic Fortune (including cool down time), but a self-buff that is random:
- Snake Eyes!: a Double 1 is rolled and the character has Toxic DoT applied to their attacks for a short duration
- Lucky 7: a 7 (5 and 2) is rolled and a tier 3 Purple Inspiration is cast on the user
- Safe Bet: an eight (double 4) is rolled and tier 1 inspirations are cast on the user (obviously, this isn't castable whilst KO'd!)
- Losing Streak: a 3 is rolled and the character receives debt protection for a short duration
- On a Roll: A 12 is rolled, the character receives a movement speed/teleport range boost, and a recharge boost, for a short duration
- House Wins: 2 blank dice are rolled, no benefit is bestowed on the character
I would suggest a World Booster Pack, with costume pieces that resemble outfits and apparel from different cultures.
Another one would be a Weapon Booster Pack that adds weapon customization (one new option for each) options plus some options like holsters and scabbards thrown in.
Themes sounds like a good idea for booster pack names and add-ons. Adventure, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror
|
Sci Fi - OH how we need bubble-helmets and decorative packs, shiny costume parts, maybe even a useless but cool looking robot/alien pet that isn't hideously ugly (I will NOT choose that horrible rikti monkey pet, NO NO NO!).
With the advent of the whips in GR, an Adventure pack seems like a nobrainer - with maybe Doc Savage type ripped shirts, other chest / shoulder options like ammo belts we already have, ripped shorts (lol because we need more hulks running around)...
Yeah I think a "genre based" pack set would be nice.
I'm still hoping that the mutant pack actually IS furries, though if its not I'm gonna have to go up there and shake some sense into em...

Kheldarn gets the cane waggle: What about Old Age? |
And, of course, get the hell off my lawn!
Dec out.
May have been mentioned already but I would pay double, even if I'm the only one desperate enough to do so, for a 'Makeover' pack featuring nothing but a dozen or so hairstyles and faces for each gender.
And maybe a summonable Icon phone booth that allows me to tailor my costume wherever I am.
Eastern Promise
Costume Pieces
- Kimono (male and female) - various styles, similar to Robes: using cloth and silk textures - optional ribbons for female character models
- Geisha face pattern (female)
- Geisha hair (complicated arrangement of hair, with pins, fans, ribbons, bows etc)
- Sandals: wooden (think E. Honda!: currently, the 'Sandals' have appalling socks with them)
- Tattoo textures (Dragons, Fire Signs, Luck Signs, etc) for full body (front/back), chest(front/back), arms, legs, and face
- Single and Double Sword Scabbard Back Detail
- Shoulder-Arm capes (Think Storm in her 1990s X-Men costume)
- Waist Bow: a supple bowing action, emanating from the waist, with the hands held 'in prayer' in front
- Fireworks
I would pay for a booster pack composed entirely of a whole bunch of alternate travel powers. Like the many different kinds of "prestige sprints" for example. So, superjump, teleportation, superspeed, and flight with just different animations/effects/graphics.
Yes, I would pay for that. I don't like looking different than everyone else... except when I'm traveling.
