GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I will admit, this is a good one.
I doubt anything will ever top Visual Sounds.

Ok i'm going to say it... This was announced today being april 1st, Hmmm could this be an april's fools day joke? Makes ya think...
It's better to save the Mystery, than surrender to the secret...
If I'm able to take my Sidekick into Praetoria and use the alternate leveling paths to eventually turn him/her into a hero, ala Wally West; or a villain, ala Jason Todd, then count me in!
(Sometimes, I wish there could be a Dev thumbs up button for quality posts, because you pretty much nailed it.) -- Ghost Falcon
I can't wait to make April the fool SK !
BY THE POWER OF FREEEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O.o
With the continued success of City of Heroes and City of Villains, Paragon Studios has unveiled its plans for the future of the franchise with City of Sidekicks. No longer are you relegated to the role of "Saving the Day" as a super-powered hero, as a sidekick you get to participate in exciting, new ways to play the game.
"City of Sidekicks brings a whole new way to experience Paragon City," said Lead Designer Melissa Bianco. "Instead of taking down the criminals, you get to be captured by them!" A key element of many sidekick storylines is your ineptitude interfering with the actions of the real heroes, and nearly doing the villain's job for them." |
I must confess that I haven't been this excited since my shift-supervisor at Wal-Mart said it was okay for me to greet people in my one-size-fits-most unitard!
Eh, personally I'd have rather had a mock announcement of a Wiiware City of Heroes game. Much potential for cruel humor there, too!
That was last year, Hawk, IIRC. FREEM! Is still number one in my book. Man people jumped up all over the WORLD to complain about that one LOL
|
I also found the DOS 'expansion' to be funnier.
Heh, although considering the turnover rate announcing you as a Rep now would be a pretty good way to ensure you'd have moved on by Going Rogue!
Still hate the visit Winscott mission- make it dropable, have it give actual exp or remove it altogether. PS- Down knows who you are.
J/ Wilde/ / AIL - Celebrating five years!
I know I'm going the way of the noob here, but what was the "Freeem" thing last year ?
I remember the visiual sounds thingy. But I think I missed the Freeem thingy.

That's right; there is the possibility of permanent death for characters in City of Sidekicks. "It's not something we're doing lightly," said Producer Jesse Caceres. "We're taking a cue from the world of comic books. If a sidekick finds himself in a situation where they might be killed in a villain's Deathtrap, we will poll all the online players asking if said character should live or die." |
At the very least, if I pay to have that sidekick killed, I expect him to stay dead!

Are you joking?!?!?!?
My Pre-Order Coh box.
My character in coh beta.
My character in a coh beta mission.
Failure to dodge enemy attacks carries some pretty hefty consequences.

Awesome way to show off some new upcoming foes. Happy April Fools!
@Rylas
Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
A key element of many sidekick storylines is your ineptitude interfering with the actions of the real heroes, and nearly doing the villain's job for them.
"Your character levels up by screwing up," Bianco added. The goal as a sidekick is to mess things up just to the point of utter failure for the task at hand, but having the hero pull out a win in the end. The closer you get to failing, the better the end reward. |
Bravo Paragon Studios. Not as funny as the visual sound effects a few years back, but good none the less. Can't wait to make my Senior Splat!!!!
Oh man that would be so awesome to have as a vet reward. Have a summoned sidekick that you could design and then have it do those types of actions in a mission. hehe, i'd love it
I liked the one you guys did a few years ago with the typing bit.
Even Google has failed at it this year. -Hawk |
3) OMG WANT PRAETORIAN CLOCKWORK COSTUME BITS NAO! |
The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.
