Yah. This Memorial day weekend was GREAT to us for savings. We bought all new appliances and a TON of baby stuff for just about $2,500.

Hello Victory!
My fiancee and I are finally having our baby. We find out on the 24th of May what flavor we are going to have (we are secretly hoping for a girl). We are also moving into our new house the following week. This is an exciting and stressful time for us, and I've been, as a few of you I'm sure have noticed, having fewer and fewer amounts of play-time available.
I'm going to be on a small hiatus for a little while until we get settled into our new place, but I'll pop in every once in a while and say hi to everyone. Thank you to all who have been on the "in" on background story of this and have given me support on this. I can't thank you enough for putting up with my crap.
I'm not quitting the game, but will be back as papa olo in a few months!
On Tuesday I'll let you guys know the name of the baby. We already have names picked out, however. -
I am so in. Hollow Life needs those mayhem missions to earn the last of those badges
-
HAH! That sounds awesome, Chad.
-
i'll join in this time I guess.

Is there anyway to unlock ear muffs? Or are they lost forever to new toons?
found it..
..but now why can't we have hats and muffs? -
I'm in with my rad troller, if needed.
Actually, I might not be able to do it tonight. Something came up this morning -
it appears ouro no longer allows you to access train missions

Quote:Stealing from work? Maybe I missed who you were replying to, but, at any job, no matter where in the country, you get a break. How you use that break is up to you.Stealing money from companies by not working while you're being paid isn't very christmas-like either. Eh? Eh?
This contest is put out during business hours that companies operate. The bulk of the player base is at work during these hours. Most companies will block the avenues that they are releasing these codes upon. Yes, you can use your cell phone, but i'm not going to be hunching over my phone scrambling to update to see their new tweets or whatever facebook calls it. Plus, if you have a cell phone, look at the speeds you get on data..horrendous when compared to those that are on the computer.
Technology is limiting the accessibility of these codes. This is a problem. However, if you are in the game, you KNOW a player has access to certain functions. Use the game to deliver the method of these codes. -
Championess:
can you give me a direct link to the post where it was discovered 3 months ago? I can't seem to actually find it.
[I seriously can't find it, i must be blind]

Ok, I've been trying for three days to get this bloody badge: HellBane.
I've even had a team of 8, 2 days ago, destroying nerva demons for a few hrs during the daytime, he spawned one time, but never spawned again.
I tried last night, as well with 3 other people with the same result (no spawn).
Is there some trick to this that I am missing? I know he spawns waaaay up high, comes out at dusk after 100 of his demons are killed during daylight hours. Anything else?
Also, I'll attempt it again today, if anyone wants to join. once the servers come up -
I can bring my ill/rad troller if you need debuffs and someone to fill
-
Have you tried refreshing your DNS cache?
I've seen this before as well, depending on when your DNS is set to refresh itself, this problem can persist for days. -
At work you're supposed to be a team player. a person putting in a request to change something should also give some alternatives to fix the solution. Granted those types of replies aren't the best way to get productivity done, but the originator of the grievance should offer a possible solution to a problem.
Granted, sometimes an alternative solution is not available because of limitations of skills, but they can give general ideas of solutions. At work that is our policy, if something needs to change, justify it and give a possible alternative solution to the problem. -
Hey! I ran it twice that last time!
this is the third! -
If someone doesn't rsvp, and you don't mind me tagging along, i'll join in with my troller!

Crimes Against Humanity -> "are particularly odious offences in that they constitute a serious attack on human dignity or grave humiliation or a degradation of one or more human beings. They are not isolated or sporadic events, but are part either of a government policy (although the perpetrators need not identify themselves with this policy) or of a wide practice of atrocities tolerated or condoned by a government or a de facto authority"
I do believe the very definition of crimes against humanity describes exactly what the roman legionnaire's did. Knight DID do crimes, but, they do not have a badge in this game.
As for it being religious in nature or not, the Holy Roman Empire was a government body in every sense that a government is.
I believe Column Breaker was given as an example as well. I'd have to dig further to find other badges that have historical references that have bloody pasts. -
Quote:There are a couple of badges that reference groups/things that did horrible atrocities in the past, just depends on how far you dig. There are several badges that SHOULD be removed based just on this PoV.While I do agree that the lengths of time since specific atrocities were committed do change the general etiquette regarding what is or is not in bad taste, I think that it is clear that most (If not all) other badge titles and other aspects of pop-culture and/or real world historical references in this game do not cross a certain standard.
That said, if one changes, they all need to change. There have been a couple of examples already in the thread if you need some reference.
Legionnaire for example. What does it mean? Nothing to most people, other than it's a Roman soldier. Do you know what legionnaire*s DID? You would remove the badge faster than Malleus.
The reference that this badge makes is never explicit. Yes, a book was written 500 years ago that shares part of the title, and the contents of the book vs the meaning is close, but that doesn't make it a smoking gun. -
i can't really say any villain is particularly scary, but action-wise, the creepiest is:
a possessed kid. nothing creeps me out more than that.
especially when they talk. -
Now I don't really care one way or the other the badge name, BUT, if you're going to deny people's logic by the way you put your logic, please stop.
the badge NEVER mentions the full name of the book, the title or anything about what happened. It says "defeated 75 witches". Where do you get the reference to crimes against humanity without the badge mentioning it?
Let's say I'm Greek and I find the "Legionnaire" badge offensive because the Roman Legionnaire's defeated my ancestors in conquest. Can we remove it? -
Since it requires a massive amount of people, since it's a raid, give it some bonus that is comparable:
Make it so you can only get the reward once every 24hrs, and there's incentive to always take one down.
have a menu option when it gets taken down and choose a reward:
get a badge for taking one down.
or
A random rare recipe
or
10 merits -
