Issue 19: Incarnates
Which is sorta what they were getting at. I18 would be the side-along issue, and i19 would be the bits that needed a little more time, and bringing the expansion level with the existing content.
Edit:
Glad to see it isn't just me.

I19 is basically GR: Part Two - you'll need to buy GR to access the Incarnate endgame content in I19 - so if you don't have GR, then I19 is gonna seem kinda content-lite

Well, we might have to travel to the Well of the Furies to start off the endgame process
I don't mind this system, I'll probably participate in it, and in particular the idea of it being tied into new zone events really catches my eye. On the other hand? I really hate the name. In all of the lore to date, it's impossible for anyone of any other origin to become an Incarnate. Incarnates are incarnate at their origin, that is to say, they got their powers directly from the Well of the Furies.

They set the groundwork for this with the "all Origins are interconnected" stuff in the Origin of Power arc.

Or I'm open to other suggestions. But seriously, "Incarnates?" Does not work for me at all. |
Honestly I don't see the big deal. Statesman and Recluse are not such memorable characters that making their "gimmick" available to everyone risks losing anything important. And I'm kind of used to ignoring large chunks of fluff text ever since the whole AE thing.

I19, to me, reads as 'End Game stuff for GR...and the other stuff'
Needless to say, we'll need to wait and see.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Well, it'll have some other stuff for sure, but the bulk of the endgame content being in it means that that will be the focus of the Issue for

My...concern...over the Incarnates system is what the actual worth of it be. Will it just be global boosts to damage/resistance/etc and thus simply be APP Part 2 or will it actually do something unique with the character allowing you to open up the playstyle?
Well, I think it'll probably invole a new /e faintinterror emote for any gray enemies when you turn your avatar to look at them.

Im waiting for my chance to take down a Rikti Mothership...we can do that right?
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
Yes - we'll be allowed to hurl them onto residential areas, which will pave the way for revamping the zones into a single city zone with newer building models.

I call dibs on dropping one on top of Perez.
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
Possibly - I don't think anyone would actually notice a difference if a mothership crashed there

Aye, I'll agree with this. In the game lore, it's mentioned that there was once a 6th Origin, but that it's been "lost". That 6th Origin was Incarnate. Technically, you can't become an Incarnate unless you start as an Incarnate, just like you can't start as a Science Origin character, and then become a Natural Origin character.
Over and over again, they've said "We will never raise the level cap." Technically, they're keeping this promise, if the 10 Incarnate levels don't raise your base stats. But only technically.

Incarnates are incarnate at their origin, that is to say, they got their powers directly from the Well of the Furies. I saw in the cellphone-cam video from the PAX East panel that Positron said that it was what "we're currently calling" it. Does that mean that you're at all open to suggestions for a different name? Because if you are, my nomination is "Signature Hero" and "Arch Villain." After all, in game mechanics terms, what separates a level 50 (or above, but you know what I mean) signature hero or arch villain from a mere elite boss (the current in-game NPC equivalent of a player character) is that they have powers not ordinarily available to others, either because they're reserved for signature heroes and arch villains and giant monsters (like the Purple Triangles of Doom) or because they're powers not typically offered to that archetype. So saying that people who buy Going Rogue, reach level 50, and participate in the new end game system "become Incarnates" makes no sense, but saying that they become "signature characters" fits the game lore perfectly. Or I'm open to other suggestions. But seriously, "Incarnates?" Does not work for me at all. |

Seems like we'll be getting brand new incarnate powers, although I don't hold my breath just yet. Something tells me signature powers are not so much of a wild dream now (given that having signature powers is what separates AVs from mere EBs).

Bit of both, maybe? I'm just wondering if there'll be any sort of SSK-type system for the Incarnate levels as well or not. Will they only be effective in certain situations? Possible drawbacks to go with them? Will bonuses be ED compliant (which could seriously free up slots)? I could be wrong but it seems like the devs put a lot of work into getting things about at the power-levels they're generally at now, so I don't see them wanting throw a big wrench into that.

I'm personally hoping for more IO's to come out at the same time that give Procs, Chance to's, power perks, etc. That's be pretty darn awesome, methinks
The sooner I can cover my "basics" the sooner I can get to playing, y'know?

Man, I'm not going to be able to get my hands on some cash to re-sub and buy Going Rogue quick enough.
