What?!? Moving???

Anyhow with the announcement here, I was curious if any Victory-ites (sp?) are making some room for GR. I am looking to free some slots up and didn't know a good place to call home-away-from-home.

Probably will avoid the 2 big servers. Any one got some ideas?

I'm considering maybe moving a few of my younger characters to Freedom/Virtue just to experience a heavier population. But I'm mostly happy with Victory and don't see myself moving my "signature" characters.

As sort of a coincidence, I've been sitting on the name Ragdoll on Victory for when GR went live. I wanted it for a brute but really pictured more of a semi-insane criminal killin' antihero for it than a villain. So I wasn't happy with a tanker/scrapper version of her and didn't want her redside so she kind of languished. I popped onto Virtue last night for unrelated reasons and saw I had an old lvl 8 blaster named Ragdoll sitting there since... ummm... well, damn near forever. So now I can free up a Victory character slot!

It'd be nice if they would tell us if we were getting more slots with GR like we did with CoV (or at least free slots that we can put on the server of our choice, if they don't want to break the max amount of characters on a server cap that they put in), because I'm full on Victory. And I really don't want to move anyone, either. I already made the tough call and deleted a few characters that I just didn't enjoy enough to keep here.

Heck, even if they aren't going to give us more slots for GR, I don't really have anyone I want to move. I guess I can push off my lowbie Blaster, but that won't help me much. I have a Dual Pistols Blaster idea and a Brute that I'd like to put through the GR stuff.

I also hope this doesn't upset server populations much. I still think they should lock Freedom and Virtue off from any transfers, like in WoW. They managed their server pops over there a little better, to my mind.

To help you, Penny, Champion seems like a nice server. I usually only play there for those Tanker Tuesday events, but I have had good experiences with the people there. That's pretty much the only server other than Infinity (for the villain Isos we had there) that I've had much experience on.

Anyone who leaves Victory is icky.

I plan on moving a crap load of toons off of Victory to make room for new characters. I'll probably only keep 6 level 50 toons; 2 defenders, 2 scrappers, 1 controller and 1 favorite toon.

Now to find a new home for them...

I predict the average IQ of Freedom Server will rise as a result of this action.

(I mean, no way to go but UP, right?)

Yes, I will be moving tons of Characters as well. I have a few toons on infinity that are just gathering moss and day job badges and I can finally move character and loot to servers. Thank goodness, I've been full on Victory for almost 4 months now and this is like the best Christmasque present I could have ever hoped for.

I think I'm going to move a few. Not sure on which ones yet except for two, one because I want to free up her name to use on Victory again, and one because I don't play her much but I can't delete 50s..

Mostly I'll be moving stuff to free up room, but it's nice to have some 50s spread around to take part in events and such on other servers.

Not moving any away from Victory but will be moving characters around.

btw, if anyone wants a SG on Champion, you are more than welcome in mine. No requirement at all. Or if you'll be setting up your own bases, you can coalition with me for the teleporters. I have all but 2 and should get those in the next week or two as I only need a couple 10k prestige. (But other than that, the base is still pretty spartan but I'll be working on that as well.)

Hmmmm, I should maybe take you up on that, Peterbilt (on the coalition, I think I'll keep my personal SG going over there). Not sure what characters to move over to Champion, but I'll figure something out. I kind of like all my 50s and want to keep them here, but maybe I'll find something. Or at least I'll coalition with you, since I have a hero or two over there.

Well, my adventures in moving characters was short lived. I was mainly interested in taking a couple to Virtue for RP purposes (just to give it a shot, really) but only two characters had names that weren't already in use there. Since I tend to tie name pretty deeply into character concept... on Victory they shall stay!

I just thought that I might take advantage of this by heading my main over to virtue (I think it's virtue that holds MoSTF runs on Saturday nights.)

But as soon as I grab that badge I'd be heading back.

I have the full 36 toons on Victory, and only 5 free slots in total across the other servers so not a lot of flexibility, but will move a few of my less played 50s across to new homes to make some space.

I have a ss/elec brute at 50 that I've always kinda hated. Might strip him naked and kick him to another server.

Actually, being somewhat new to Victory, after a long time on Freedom, I am moving some of my characters TO Victory, not FROM!
