Heh, probably not.
Though it is a good rule that it's easier (and has better audience perception) to grow more lax, rather than more strict. Seem to be following that with this approach (though I'm not sure what more time on this serves, unless they answer my "will GR have more slots" question, and maybe more fun server swapping for PvPers).

Are there rules, like no named characters? A few years back I saw someone playing 'Kung-Fu Jesus'. Besides the fact that there shouldn't be more than one, I found it a bit disturbing.
Are they Christians of a liberal or conservative bias? There are a lot of choices, but I don't think they would all get along that well.

Great questions. Don't really know how to answer that.
The founders were all "Born Again" as are some of the current members, but not all. My opinion is you can join with just about anything that doesn't offend the other SG members. Kung-Fu Jesus might be pushing it. Pre-Christian angels, probably not. Spanish Inquisition? (Nobody .... [STOP THAT]) Depends on how you play the character, dress, etc. Could easily fit or offend. And you can play a pacifist as a pure emp, buff, debuff, low damage holds, etc.
Of course, you can ignore all that if you were asking a retorical question.

Actually, the idea struck my fancy. I went to private religious school up through High school. It was a solomn, reserved protestant church, but we also studied world religions and the branching of Christian religions. And my Great-Grandmother was a Charasmatic preacher. Loud sermons, speaking in tongues. She didn't die until after I was out of college, and we had some heated discussions while I was growing up. Her grandfather was a methodist circuit rider. We can't seem to stay the same protestant religion for more than 2 generations. lol
If you look, the Pre-Christian I was describing was Jewish. Old testament only. And possibly the Apocrypha. Bel and the Dragon, anyone?
But, I now remember we are on Victory and not Virtue, so maybe making a RP character here is not a smart idea.
