What would you pay for?
Things I would pay for:
Smoother polygons
More animations for power customization
More zones
Better graphics (We'll be getting these soon enough)
Booster packs I'd pay for:
Dance Superstars
- Includes:
-- Michael Jackson hairstyles, clothing.
-- Moonwalk dance
-- Liquid dancing (youtube it)
-- Napoleon Dynamite dance
-- Generic boyband dancing
-- 'Groove' Booster Power: For a solid minute or so, every power you use will speed up the recharge of all powers by a very small percent.
Rock Legends
- Includes:
-- Metalicious hairstyles and facial hair
-- Guitar/Bass skins for weapons
-- Hardcore leather jackets and pants
-- Options for facial piercings
-- Headbang emote
-- Air Guitar emote
-- Air Mic emote
-- Air Drums emote
-- Guitarplay emote
-- Metalsing emote
-- Drumsplay emote
Yes, I like me some emotes, folks.
It is really hard to say ahead of time, they have been pretty good at surprising me thus far, so how about, "i will pay for well implemented ideas and good looking costumes" have those, get my cash. Though honestly I did buy the science booster largely as a show of support for the developers, It doesnt take an economist to tell you that more cash coming in makes the game more secure, and the cost has thus far been trivial.
Rocky Horror Picture Show Booster Pack. Corsets and stockings for men! Loincloths! Tim Curry!
I'd pay a couple bucks per character for all the accolades.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
new costume change emote: The "oops wrong closet" emote... Basically you go to change outfits but get the wrong one.. In action the character gives a thumbs up then vanishes in a cloud of smoke... The system does a costume creator randomize and the character appears wearing it.. They scream in humiliation then vanish again to reappear in the correct outfit |
My booster pack wants:
* New Monstrous Heads: different wolf and lizard takes, an insect head, a "slime" head that looks like melting wax, a cardboard box with a face drawn in crayon upon it, a Hilary Clinton mask * New "Set" Costume Pieces: British Punk Rocker set, Cowboy set (chaps, leather vest, Stetson, holster belt), 60's Love-In Hippie Set (bell bottoms and tie dye), and the Emperor's New Clothes set.... ::whistles innocently:: * New Prestige Travel Powers: Hoverboard/skateboard/jet skates (requires Superspeed), flying surfboard/perma-jetpack/mini-jet (requires fly), spring boots/mini-catapult/swift-kick-in-the-can (requires super jump), hitchhiker's thumb/"beam-me-up-Scotty"/rip in reality's fabric (requires teleport), Free Lifetime Paragon City Bus Pass (requires psychiatric evaluation) * New Dance Emotes: The Swim, The Alligator, The Macarena, Country Line Dancing and Mosh Pit Dancing... actually that last one could also be a new melee set for Scrappers and Brutes. * New Costume Change Emote: The "Oops Wrong Closet" emote... basically you go to change outfits but get the wrong one.. in action the character gives a thumbs up then vanishes in a cloud of smoke... the system does a costume creator Randomize and the character appears wearing it.. they scream in humiliation then vanish again to reappear in the correct outfit |
DO WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Though if they give us the Hitchhiker's thumb.. we need a towel costume piece! And maybe peanuts and a fish?)
"Well, there's going to be some light music and a short note of apology saying, 'The universe ended last week, we're really sorry, we don't know what you're doing here, didn't you get the message?'"- Steve Moffat
So far I've bought all of the premium content except for the wedding pack. GvE, the Superscience Booster and the Martial Arts Super Booster were all primarily purchased for the new powers (counting the improved tailor from Science as a power).
The Cyborg and Magic Boosters were primarily purchased for the costume parts (although the Mystic Fortune power is very useful). I tend to lean towards Tech and Magic origin characters so they are both pretty useful.
The mac edition I purchased for both the powers and the costume pieces (the shoulders in particular I've used on several characters).
In general I think that as long as they continue combining powers and costume pieces in each pack I'll probably find something to make them worth buying. Unlike other people the extra emotes don't really interest me since I don't RP.
I'm not fooling anyone. I would buy just about any extras they dangled in front of me.
Though I'm a sucker for costume pieces. |
* Beastial run on all fours. And maybe some other run animations.
* The ability to open the tailor (with all applicable fees) from anywhere.
* Non-cape/wing back options. Backpacks, sheaths, quivers, jetpacks.
* More tails. Specifically, fox tail. I don't care if they're animated.
* Belts with tails! Would probably have to be a separate part though.
* Leg/thigh details, like leg-holsters and things that Longbow and Knives have.
* More formal/dressy/fancy outfits and dresses.
* Higher texture quality parts, like revisions of existing tops with skin that don't look painted on.
* More costume sets and pieces to be universal. I want upper body tattoos on girls, and the arcane cape, and everything else.
Is it clear I like visual stuff and customization yet?
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Full length skirts, gowns & robes. I don't care if it's a clipping/animation nightmare -- I'm paying my $10 so figure it out!
What would you pay for? |

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

$70 is rich? Because that's all it'd cost to buy all the item packs today.

I have only one avatar, and I've still gotten all the packs, even though I've not actually used any of the costume parts at all - so I'll get CoH stuff, even if I don't need it
|
My motives for buying the packs is about 50/50 because I want what the pack contains and I what to support the game I love.
I'll baaa baaaa *cough* buy it all too I reckon.
I like the trend of not overly influencing the game balance.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
