So, when do we actually get new Costumes?

This is really a recurring theme around here. But in all fairness it happens everywhere. For instance, if the devs add new stuff like Walk, they're wasting their development time. If they don't, they're ignoring the player requests.

Truth is, someone's going to be annoyed and complain no matter what. There isn't a thing the devs could do that wouldn't be met with at least one complaint. Hopefully the devs are aware of that and have the thick skin to take the bashing. I think most people are pleased with the new pack. That much should be clear by sales and all the people I see bouncing around Cap.

I don't want to here from you, you ebil marketeer!

It's also unfair that I must pay in order to keep playing this game.

Vines are a pattern, not actual costumes. Ulterior falls a little bit more than just a pattern.

I personally prefer patterns over actual styled costumes personally. You can mix and match them a whole lot better to create something even more unique and more "wow" factor.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

You shouldn't make the mistake of lumping costume pieces and powers in the same category. If a pack came out with the coolest new costumes in the game, some may grumble, but everyone would be happy, because costumes don't make you more powerful. If a pack came out with, say, 10 extra slot picks for your powers, then I guarantee a lot of people would complain about it. A lot of us are content with microtransations as long as they're only cosmetic, but when the amount of power our characters have becomes directly proportionate to our ability to stroke the check, it stops being a game.

I'm the opposite. To me it doesn't matter how unique your patterns and colors are, you don't stand out without new model geometry to break up and change your silhouette.

This is completely subjective, but I feel that stylistic simplicity has its place as a design choice just the same. Just as the choice between finely-detailed, intricate patters and simpler, large shapes, the choice between complexity of and novelty of design and the simplicity of design is one that comes down to preference. I personally have characters on both ends of the spectrum, and they each work for different concepts.

I don't agree with the OP that we haven't got any new free costume pieces in one/two years. We did get a lot of new pieces.

However, what I'm a little disappointed about that developers seem to have absolutely no intention of upgrading the old pieces. Given the current graphics, and the recent shiny costumes they give us, the old pieces are just terrible compared to the new ones!

Almost 90% of options under "Tops with Skin" for females look like body paint. The only ones that don't are the ones that we got very recently.

For this reason, we're very limited on how much we can mix-and-match new costume pieces with the old ones. At least I know I am.

Personally, I don't think we need new costume pieces. I think costume bits needs to get some new polish. And while you're at it, LET ME HAVE TAILS WITH BELTS!

On the other hand, because they don't look like clothes, I can actually mix and match them a lot better, as well as just making wild designs with them. I keep hearing people complain about Tops with Skin, but frankly, I've used most of the options EXCEPT Metal, the corset and and the Wedding pack garments. I mean, I might have used them here or there to simulate real clothes, but they don't exactly go well with each other. An Angelic Plus top pretty much only goes with an Angelic Plus bottom or a pair of pants. It doesn't go with the hot pants, for instance, or the Savage bottom.

We don't know their intent, unless it's something they've specifically addressed. They haven't upgraded them so far, but we have no idea what the plan is going forward.

It isn't much of a reach to expect the "ultra graphics" in GR to include some sort of makeover for older, underperforming costume bits.

And hence why the best option would be to create better quality pieces on TOP of the old ones. We could have "Legacy Sport" top and then "Sport" top!

basically the reason appears to be:

whenever a costume piece has been changed, and there have been a few, there is an uproar from the people who liked it as was.

just like powers, you and I may not like piece X as it is, but someone does. They don't like the thought of them changing.

Add , don't change existing is the bets guideline

And THERE is your answer. The items added recently don't look different enough to the OP so THEY DON'T COUNT!

That's fine, and I fully understand that. I've seen people use some of the tops as tattoos or body designs. Heck I've done that myself.

But I also see what Shadow means. I hate that all the tops look like paint. If I want to make a serious outfit, I have to either wear paint or use one of the five tops that actually has any depth to it.

We have Angelic, and Angelic Plus. We have Excess, and Excess Plus. Heart, and Heart Plus. Nobody's saying we have to replace the old ones with new ones, thus annoying everyone who liked the old ones. What about Athletic Plus? Disco Plus? Hacker Plus? Sport Plus? Strapless Plus? I'd like some alternatives that actually have depth and detail. I don't want the old details and patterns to disappear, but they don't have to. Just offer alternatives which are provided alongside the originals.

I'd actually not mind seeing the old Tops With Skin upgraded a little bit, to be honest, just not changed or repurposed. Their textures are rather low-res, misaligend in places and generally not very, err... Well done. Compare them to newer patterns like Sinister which have much sharper lines and you'll see the difference. So while I don't want to see them changed into something else, I WOULD like to see higher-res, better aligned textures (or rather, masks) for them.

You muast of missed the time they change the thigh high boots. Chaning old piece isn't popular at least if you don't keep both versions.

Or, worse, the Thigh high boots change. That set off a storm.
