as for characters that are disturbing in a non-aesthetic sense, not many, a story trope i tend to flog is the hero that has lived through great difficulty, but has created for themselves a source of hope, usually family, religious faith, attachment to a greater cause or just general stubbornness and rise above it, most of my villains have this story too. charlie in a box is disturbing in a sense that he is a tiny doll that uses what appears to be children's games to capture villains, but is actually a ancient primordial entity that has existed long before humans. but he is also a kind figure who dosent harm the villains that he fights, and really exists to protect children. he also looks like a clown, so he may freak out positron.

No, it's the fact that I don't know what "Distrubing" means!

When CoV came out, I made a character who was the arch-enemy of one of my main heroes. I found I couldn't play him. He featured in a few stories I wrote, where I finally killed him off (and then deleted the character).

Dammuzid was from Uruk, some 6000 years ago. As a mortal, he had carnal desires for young boys. As his powers developed, he found he could extend his lifespan by draining the life from others. He continued to favour little boys. As millenia passed, he found he needed to draw upon metahumans to sattisfy his hunger. A group was formed to seek out and kidnap children who had the potential to develop superhuman abilities and Dammuzid had the children trained for a time, developing their powers while working for him. Once their powers fully manifested, he devoured them. Any children who did not develop powers were sold off to humans with unnatural hungers of their own.

There is a lot more back-story to this guy, but I found that while he made a good villain for my heroes to strive against, he was too evil, too... sick... for me to play.

I once made a brute. His bio was: "Harvey Young, chairman of the slaughter, killed his wife and daughter." The idea came from some Swedish pop song. I couldn't tell you what they were saying, but that's what it sounded like.

Oh. I once had a Tanker (now deleted) who used the 'Bio' costume pieces. But his battle cry was "This is not my costume!" Not really disturbing, but kinda is creepy.

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

I had once apon a time been the owner of a mace/stone tank although instead of a mace he held a shovel and instead of stone armor it was poo.

Needless to say his name was the Poo Shoveler...

She's a team-oriented Controller with useful powers like Dimension Shift, Sonic Cage, and Recall Friend, which she uses at every opportunity. She also has Grant Invisibility for all the Tanks who need it.

In all seriousness, my most 'disturbing' characters?

As a personal 'group' I made 'The Riders'. They don't have proper names, so I'll just give the names I wanted:

War: An anomaly, War was found in the center of a smoking crater in the aftermath of an IED in Iraq. Scars are present throughout her body, but all of them seem healed and uninfected, including those on her face. As soon as she was found, she was immediately demanding to be sent into the war once again.
The strange aspect of War is that she has the uncanny ability to recall every war throughout History. From the Macedonians, to the Civil War, to Vietnam, she can give startling detail from so many perspectives that it's hard to believe she hasn't lived through them.

Pestilence: Pestilence is the slum lord over the streetwalkers of his own district in a town best left forgotten. The flies buzzing around him are often attributed to his foul odor, but anyone who ever inflicted a wound in him have learned that the bugs aren't only on the outside, but crawling through his innards.
His misogyny, however, is perhaps the most terrifying aspect of his behavior. Whenever his harlots fail to impress their 'clients', he has no qualms with disciplining them by mutilation, or even amputation. It's not uncommon to see some of his workers missing a leg, or a hand, or those who have had their teeth pulled out.

Famine: Famine is the ruler of his own district of the city known as 'Crippletown'. What might've been a prosperous place was reduced to a slum, filled with junkies and addicts far too strung out to do anything but crawl around, looking for their next fix. Where they look for this fix, Famine is there to provide them with it... For a price.
What makes Famine strange is his completely unpredictability. Slipping in and out of intoxication from the horrendous mixture of painkillers, hallucinogens, and anesthetics he often has lapses of stability. When Famine is out of his haze, he presents relative diplomacy, and when not? He enjoys stabbing people with his syringes filled with his poison.

Death: Death is another ruler of a district, if it can still be called such a thing. No one knows quite how it happened, but Death unleashed his power over a large neighborhood of innocents and turned it into a silent, still ghost town. Filled with skeletons posed in their last moments, and an eternally darkened sky, Death presides over his own personal sanctuary of silence.

Not exactly the most disturbing people out there, but I didn't make them for creep factor.

I don't currently have any disturbing characters (although I might have to fix that now), but one of my bro's characters is really disturbing in a "oh my god that shouldn't be that funny but i kind-of think it is so now i need therapy" kinda way.

The character's name is Orphan Eater and his description (which I must have mostly blocked from my consciousness as a self-defense mechanism) is a really sick and twisted nursery rhyme. The only bit I can recall right now is "Hush little baby, don't you weep / Too much extra water makes the steak sauce weak."

Why doesn't he keep demented stuff like that in his head like everyone else instead of showing it off?
Wait.... That doesn't sound right....

Well... said?

Anyway, one of my most disturbing villains is Eidolon of Agony, a mind/spines Dominator. His bio mentions the procedures that altered his body and mind, allowing him, among other things, to share his pain with others and his ultimate goal of achieving transcendence by reaching the bliss on the other side of infinite pain. Actually the bio describes it a little better than that, but i can't currently access the game or the original text right now since my computer wouldn't POST when i got home last night.

i have several other disturbing characters, either for the concept, the squick or both, but i'd have to look them up, which is a bit difficult at the moment.

Atrocity: originally created for a Deadlands game I never ran, lives up to his name, thriving on death, sex, leather, and generally messing things up for people. He's a version of another character I have (who has many, many dopplegangers in other genres as well), who has a tragic past - but this one enjoyed it so much he allowed all the horrible experiments his master was doing on him to continue, and actually WANTS to be evil, unlike most of his peers who got away from it.

As far as my most horrific creation... that'd have to be Eye-Sore.

Hm, I obviously don't play villains often enough. I can only think of two.

Ix Tab: Or Ixtab, was the name of the Mayan goddess of suicide, and she's kind of a cultist fanatic follower, who manages to rationalize not killing herself because she wants to bring the message of the goddess to others first. I wish I still had the original bio which was deleted by the GMs in-game. Apparently my in-character writing of her appealing to others to commit suicide was too strong.

Marionette: She's a robot gone haywire. Thing is, she only goes nuts for some specific things. It's disturbing in the killer-porcelain-doll kind of disturbing. When you talk to her she looks at you with unemotional expressionless eyes, you can almost kinda see the "Waiting for input..." message there, and when you're done saying something, you don't know if it's going to go well or suddenly throw her in a fit of murderous rampage. Creepy unemotinal killer kinda thing.

It's official, every costume needs green or pink to be classified as disturbing.

My most disturbing character was a small boy named "Catholic Prostitute."

Evidently it was the disturbing enough to someone to be genericized by the next morning...

XD

"Alien"

On the subject of beautiful costumes, here's Butts.

People kept making fun of his name, so he learned martial arts. From a certain Razor Ramon HG, who he has a tribute costume to.
