The City of Heroes Super Booster IV: Martial Arts is out!
Very nice. When i saw the new helmet pieces one of my first thoughts was (oddly enough) "Sylph Knight has probably been waiting for a helmet like this for years."

Awesome! If anyone can conquer the Earth before the Fifth Column, the Visitors can.
Raid Leader of Task Force Vendetta "Steel 70", who defeated the first nine Drop Ships in the Second Rikti War.
70 Heroes, 9 Drop Ships, 7 Minutes. The Aliens never knew what hit them.
Now soloing: GM-Class enemy Adamaster, with a Tanker!
Let me make this easier for you.
We're making a house. Positron is the manager. He looks over everybody and makes sure all jobs get done. War Witch is the architect. She makes the blueprints and decides what the house will look like. pohsyb builds the house based on the blueprints. He places the building materials and hammers in the nails. BABs is the painter of the house. He makes things look pretty. You're saying all the devs that have NOTHING TO DO with fixing bugs should drop what they're doing and fix bugs instead. You're saying the painter, and the manager, and the lady that makes blueprints should STOP doing that and go rebuild a wing of the house. You're saying that BABs, instead of painting the parts of the house that are done and correct, should somehow redo the kitchen cabinets. |

@Lyrik
But ABC mistakes the smudges paint for a bent nail or loose bolt which even if BaBs stops painting wouldn't be straightened or tightened.

Make it wiring instead of bent nails - that takes more skill to do, so it's less likely anyone could do it

I think hammering nails is silgtly easier than fixing bugs

We go through more set designers that way.

This is a solid pack. I waited to see the pieces but this turned out to be ok. I still don't get why they don't have a belt in a set?
It is a bit skimpy on pieces but I am ok getting this one. I had to say no to the science pack. That was an absolute rip.

Although I bought it the booster, I wasn't sold on the Ninja Run power. At least, not until I did the introduction to Oroboros arc, and the ended up back in Outbreak.
With the new Exemplaring system, keeping everything through level 6 helped loads. But with Ninja Run at level 4 - I was doing flips over the rooftops between the groups I actually needed to take out.
(Of course, it would have helped more had I remembered to adjust my challenge level - at level 38, my scrapper can handle fighting groups designed for 3 heroes. At level 1, even with added powers? Not so much... I burned through a lot of Insp getting through that... ^^;; )

I forget, and I am sure this is asked every time, but does the architect edition bonus able to be used for these later boosters?

Is it possible that in some way or form we get the Terra Robe having a longer capelike feature for the front and back tails?

Ninja run is pure Win.
That is all. Still need to check out the costume parts, but they look very neat =]
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

You're saying that BABs, instead of painting the parts of the house that are done and correct, should somehow redo the kitchen cabinets. It's not his job, nor does he necessarily even know how to fix bugs. His job is completely and utterly unrelated to the thing you're telling him to do. If we were to stop production on everything else until bugs are fixed, probably 90% of the devs would be sitting around doing nothing. Bugs would continue to be found and fixed at the exact same rate that they're being fixed now. The only difference is that everyone else on payroll isn't doing anything now. There's plenty of stuff for BABs to paint while the garage is being fixed. |
Or if you like adding rooms stirs up the termites.
This is just a silly analogy, this is software not a house. Even Microsoft realised you can't keep constantly adding features and expect people to ignore the underlying faults. In their case they called a complete code freeze and review before moving forward.
The point of an analogy is to put a concept into another perspective to make it easier to understand or relate to. Which clearly needs to be done because the person I was talking to doesn't understand software; he wants the animator to fix bugs.
I welcome you to come up with a different analogy to explain why it's stupid to tell BABs not to do any more animations so bugs can be fixed.

But the house has termites and you keep adding rooms, while they look pretty and add functionality to the house eventually it will fall down or the core of the house will be unusable so nobody cares about the optional rooms.

Unless you think the current bugs do make the game unplayable, then by all means stop playing. There are over a hundred thousand of us who think the game is perfectly playable, and will continue to enjoy the game without you.
(Edit) And before anyone says something about bugs building on bugs until they eventually break the game... how about we wait until stuff actually happens before we get upset about it? Or maybe wait until there's a hint that it may actually happen, before we start worrying about it? Tell you what: You're going to die someday, it's unavoidable.. do you spend your days worrying and complaining about that too? Or do you actually live the life you have and enjoy it while you've got it?
I welcome you to come up with a different analogy to explain why it's stupid to tell BABs not to do any more animations so bugs can be fixed.

The "you" I was refering to was the company not an individual.
The only change I made to your statement is to highlight your own words. "core of the house will be unusable". So tell me, is the core of the game unusable? Do we have all kinds of shiny pretties that we can't play with because the rest of the game is broken? No. Your analogy fails because with termites you assume the entire house is infested and about to come down on itself. The bugs in City are more like finding ants in your sugar. It's annoying, it's disappointing, but it's not going to cause the ruination of your entire abode.

Is the game unplayable now ? On some servers it currently is, the lag has been incredible since the booster pack went live. Is it the booster pack causing the issues who knows? The point is this wasnt happening before this booster pack.
