It's funny, I brought up this idea as a different option for travel in a Suggestions and Ideas thread about 3 or 4 months ago. My idea was to have a travel power that had run speed faster than sprint, but slower than super speed and also had more jump boost than combat jumping but less than super jump....all in one power with new run/jump animations for the more "natural" type of characters.
This idea was met with 3 or 4 pages of trolls telling me how stupid I was was and the idea was idiotic. Well....just wanted to say HA HA BITE ME! Thank you. |

I LOVE this new booster, it may be my fave, tied with Magic and Valkyrie.
A few of my characters have already gotten makeovers, I've had fun playing mix-and-match with these new costume pieces, combining them with valkyrie, samurai, and justice parts.
Brooklyn Bridge, my DB scrapper didn't have his robes on for 5 minutes before being told twice how cool he looked. And that Qin dynasty hair!! Thank you, thank you!
The chinese weapons were just the icing on the joygasm cake for me, I have been wanting those forever! I also love the waist-cape belt option we got to wear with our robes- I havn't looked to see if we can wear it with other things yet, but it is sweet and makes the robes look even better. I definately look forward to bringing out more of my characters to play mix-and-match with, it's so much fun, these are pieces I've been longing for forever!
And the ninja run looks SO hella cool, I've been having such fun playing with it.
Oh yeah, I'll second the warped use of pushups. There was Brooklyn Bridge saying "I just know people are gonna do bad things with this!"

Ok the boots are awesome. i forsee me using them alot.
As far as Ninja Run goes I liked this power quite a bit some months ago when Cryptic first called it "Acrobatics" and made it one of their travel powers for Champions Online. It doesn't really bother me that this power's function and animation details are almost identical to the ones first invented by our "competition" in the least. For what it's worth I think CoX's version of this power has slightly nicer animations (espeically the way the arms move for instance).
If this game can continue "borrowing" the few features that other game is doing well then I have no doubt CoX will continue to be the overall better game. |

Wow, so yeah. I'm going to have to get really good about remembering to turn it off and turn CJ back on when getting into combat.
I don't suppose there's a way we could have Ninja Run simply suppress Combat Jumping instead of turning it off? So when I engage in combat I can just turn off Ninja Run and still have my (meager) defense? *ducks* Sorry Devs! Still not complaining! I love youuuu! ;] |
