Yeah, I had the same problem. If you disable the Steam Overlay, it works fine.

Quote:I did it with my Time/Dual Pistols Defender. No Incarnate anything. No helpers my first time either, as I knew it gave a badge (and didn't know how tedious it was). How did you handle it *without* incarnate abilities?
Obviously, I'm not the OP. But I am curious how others soloed the content without already having Incarnate abilities. Stating that you soloed the content with Incarnate abilities is just...frustrating.
I'm not the best example for non-supporty people to follow, though, as I have 30-50% defense to everything on top of -25% tohit on enemies (and 47% smash/lethal resist and -25% damage on enemies). And I have a lot to give to the helpers as well, so they become an unstoppable force when I do bring them.
The mission was just irritating for me, not really hard. Once it became obvious how long it would take to kill all of the minotaurs and cyclopes, I decided to just herd them up so I could kill them more quickly with AoEs. -
Quote:Dude. You're wrong.Leo, what part of WITH ASSASSIN'S STRIKE do you not understand? Give it up while you have a chance. You are wrong. Nice editing in using a quote out of context.
Stalkers get the special "Assassin's Strike" critical with an "assassin's" power, but the 10% (plus whatever for teammates) crit chance is for every attack out of Hide. -
My problem with this push to make sure that everyone knows that "ATIO" is wrong is that everything except DO and SO with an "O" in it is wrong, because none of them have anything to do with Origins.
Sure, some of them you can stretch the definition to, but it's always been for the sake of convenience, not correctness. Why do people suddenly care now? And then, why only care about this? -

"Who are you? One of the Powers Division, working for Cole? Or for yourself? In the end, it doesn't matter who you're working for now. Eventually, you'll have to face the reality of working under someone who has no idea what they're doing." -Casey Chen
It's funny because it's true. -
I don't know if anyone cares about this thread any more, but the problem I pointed out with Ninja Run's neutral/back jump animation on females is still there.
That's not why I'm here, though.
With the animated wolf tail, at least (haven't tested the others), if you're moving backwards and then stop, right at the beginning of the stopping animation your tail shifts up to your back for a frame or two.
All the tails seem to have the same animations, so it probably affects all of the animated ones, but as I said I've not tested :P -
If what comes out is around my level or lower, I'll beat them up.
If what comes out is several levels higher than me, I won't. I can't :P
The only time I've actually had a problem with left spawns was several years ago in Founders Falls, someone got a Winter Lord to spawn right next to the Pocket D entrance. It wasn't their fault, though :P -
Quote:Says you :PExcept that in principle, it wasn't a bad idea. Were there some legitimate concerns that needed to be addressed? Yes. But the idea itself wasn't a bad idea.
Obviously, a lot of people thought it was quite a bad idea indeed!
Of course not, but them backing down doesn't change that they intended to do it. Whatever they do from now on, I've learned that I can't trust them to have sensible ideas in regards to privacy. Especially since they've left the door open to try this or something like it again later, and have more "plans" for it than they've yet explained. -
Quote:I'm still done with them, personally. The fact that they had intended to do this at all is enough for me to not want to deal with them any more. Before you rush anything: They've backpedaled.
Never mind the fact that the RealID forums was supposed to be the first step in some kind of grand master plan, which I'm sure they haven't given up on :P -
I just have Swift, because I hate base run speed. (I also got lots of +Run Speed bonuses, so Dwarf isn't so slow :P)
For endurance, I have +End set bonuses. With Portal Jockey and Atlas Medallion, I have 122.6 endurance. So I have more endurance to use and, because recovery is a % thing, my +Recovery bonuses have even more effect, and it all works in forms.
This coupled with some end reduction in everything means it's not ever an issue.
I went for this because sometimes there just aren't bodies. I want to be able to stay in for the long haul against tough single enemies, which tend to be the weak point of Warshades. This allows me to go on indefinitely in such situations, since I wouldn't be using my more expensive AoE powers or Dark Extraction or anything. -
No, it does happen. If you get mezzed while in the middle of the transformation animation, you stop transforming. You can then start the transformation again and succeed, but I can see how someone would die if they really needed to go Dwarf and had to wait twice as long (or more) to do so :P
-
That's pretty bad. I've bought every other booster shortly after they were released, but with this one... I only really wanted the tacked-on fluffy tail and the mutation buff.
But my main is a Warshade, so in the end I'd be paying $10 for a tacked-on fluffy tail? :P
No, I think I'll be waiting until this changes. -
I keep reading the thread title as "BABS has a pretty mouth ..." and it disturbs me greatly.
-
I guess I'll join in.
I like the speed of searching/browsing with the new UI.
I dislike almost everything else. Inability to search in categories, tabbed transactions interface which is only needed because now you can only see a handful of transactions at any one time and trying to manipulate them gets progressively more painful the more you have, and tendency for putting items in or taking them out to not "stick"...
I'm neutral about the fact that the last price you put in stays. It messed me up constantly at first, but now that I'm used to it it makes things quicker... sometimes. So it's a wash, really. It's quicker when I want to sell lots of common salvage, but slower when I want to sell several disparate things.
Same with autocomplete. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it hurts.
As has been said countless times in this topic, the interface is generally harder to actually USE now, and I do find myself avoiding it whenever possible. -
I'd say it's a combination of both. The root cause of the problem is surely lag, but... With the old interface, if something didn't take, you'd know it straight away. With this one, it always LOOKS like it takes.

Yes, these arcs are really incredible. So vastly superior to ... everything else.
Hopefully we can look forward to lots more stuff at this level of quality from Going Rogue :P -
It's global... Any of your characters can see the e-mail. Pick it up on whomever you like.
If you've got multiple accounts and sent it to a different one, then use the "Return" button on the e-mail. -
Type your global (with the @) in the "To" box...
Also, this e-mail system is totally new and the old one didn't function anything like this, so no one had used it before I17 :P -
JUST use your global.
For example, if I want to send something to myself, I put "@Nishastra" in the box.
Every one of your characters will be able to see the mail, and any on the same side can pick up the attachments. -
Quote:Damage Resistance does multiple things. One of the things it does is reduces the effectiveness of -Dam. So if something has Lethal resist, for example, it'll reduce the effect of -Dam on its Lethal damage. What I had no idea.. Sonic stacked that way with the damage debuff. Can you explain a little more please, how this works. I'm a little lost.
Thus, if you've got -Res on something before applying -Dam, the -Dam will actually have more of an effect. -
I liked the bug we had for a while where a lot of mission ambushes seemed to be hostile to everything in the mission, so setting off a bunch of ambushes and running through the mission would result in lots of enemies wiping each other out.
I also like lots of text bugs that are still in the game, like "We're slag golems and we're attacking!" or just "text".
Also missions with ambushes of the wrong faction, so you have random Arachnos minions running at you yelling "SKREEEEEE!" or a bunch of Freakshow showing up and yelling "Get the Freakshow!" and proceeding to attack other Freakshow. -
I haven't said anything about this in a while because I17 was coming and whatnot, but it's here now and the female Ninja Run jump animations are still bad.
The neutral/back animation still squashes and twists the torso as I pictured previously, and so on.

My personal compulsion is that I absolutely must fill the bar on any contact I take. I hate bars in the inactive list that can never be filled. Hate them.
The problem here is, any contact that's given to you automatically (CoH zone first contacts [Jim Temblor, Stephane Peebles, etc], CoV unlockable contacts) will still be put on your list if you talk to them while out of their level range. Even when doing their missions via Ouroboros. So I have to do them ASAP or never at all.
The worst, though, is that there's at least one low-level CoH contanct whose bar cannot be filled. He doesn't have enough missions to fill it. Fareed Abdullah.
Basically, the way I've decided to deal with this is to as few story arcs as possible via the actual contacts. Take as few contacts as possible. The less contacts I have, the less likely I'll screw up and end up with an unfilled bar. I do every single story arc via Ouroboros (unless it's an unlockable/auto contact I missed while leveling) on every character, and outside of zone contacts or patrons I don't do arcs outside of Ouroboros once I hit level 25.
