That's what you get for not springing for the extra few bucks for real Adamantium...

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

any more screenshots of costume pieces anywhere? that awful naruto run from champions isn't gonna get me buying that pack, even if it is a mini travel.

The male fire robe looks sweet! Please tell me females can get it too! And what about those new hairstyles?

Yeah, I love how the technology booster lets me create a wide variety of technology-based heroes, and how the science booster doesn't just restrict me to the whole 'mad scientist' look. The natural booster restricting me to martial arts has zero precedent and is totally unfair!

Obviously, you're no longer using Claws, but holding a set of 3 kunai between each finger!

Wow. . . Seems like just yesterday that 'walk' was all the rage. Now it is the ninja sprint.

Really it's just that BABs is an animating god, so anything we get with new animations gets talked about for days.

Not "paying", PAID. Get it right. And live up to your name and support consumerism!

This, in a big way. Although they did go one extra step and add the actually very cool videos on the Store page.

I need video. That right there actually works for me. Looks like a good setup for Ninja Run, Follow, get in range, Spin.

I'll find out in an hour I guess.

Be well, people of CoH.

I was just telling my friend that there was not enough costumes. Good to see this show up.

Meh. I never said "unfair" and I said I was happy that other folks were happy with it. I suppose part of it is that "natural" is such an expansive catch-all from cowboy gunslingers to military types to kitchen knife wielding maniacs to justice seeking lumberjacks that I had hoped for more options than just martial arts.

I'm glad though that someone can still mention personal disappointment, say it's still cool that others are happy and yet still have someone color it as saying "Totally unfair!" As long as it's going to be that way anyway, next time I'll say I'm threatening a class action lawsuit and Paragon Studios totally slapped me in the face.

It doesn't restrict you to MA style costumes at all. All of the pads have non-textured options that go well with pretty much everything. The non patterned robes can be pretty versatile, too.

Here's a few characters I've done. Sorry for the bad quality of the images. I saved a couple as .jpg files and the results came out blurry.

Obviously, a mixture of new/older pieces. Only the ninja girl above has mostly newer pieces.

Was there ever any official word from the devs, or from Marketing, or whoever that the Ninja Pack is actually the Natural Pack? Or is it possible that the Ninja Pack is simply the Ninja Pack (like the Wedding Pack is the Wedding Pack and the Valkyrie Pack is the Valkyrie Pack), and there will still be a more generic Natural Booster pack forthcoming soon?

My guess is that Martial Arts is a the Natural Pack. It's labeled as a Super Booster pack like the others (Cyborg, Magic and Super Science).

Was just wondering that... Hmmmm

So is there a full list of new costume parts anywhere?

BTW, loving the way the new helmet looks. I think I can put it to good use for organic and crab-like looks.

There were several people complaining that the pack was MA-themed, I was just responding in general, not specifically to you. Sorry if I offended

At HeroCon I believe Positron said the next pack was going to be a ninja-themed pack for Natural characters. (But I wasn't there, so I don't know first-hand. )

Because it looks goofy on some characters? And because you can stack it with sprint?

Anyways, I bought the pack, I like the way the jumps look and feel. The run is a bit goofy. I know I risk rotten tomatoes from anime fans but the run is just too... anime for most of my characters. Wondering if there is a bind that could turn ninja jump on as I jump just so I get the flips for some more acrobatic characters?

I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the costume parts though. For one, I was really hoping that the belt, similar to the samurai armor belts, would be available on something other than robe tops. But it's not. This costume set just feels too... self defined? I know clipping can be a concern... but, c'mon at least open up a few of these parts so we can find new uses for them.

Fisticuffs at dawn!

It's all good.

Just to add my own thoughts to the thread, I am liking the new Martial Arts booster pack purely based on more costume pieces and the Ninja Run power. Anything that helps my lowbies travel throughout the lowbie zones quicker without relying on a raptor pack or a speedboost is win.

I can cope with Ninja Run not stacking with CJ, but at least you can toggle on sprint as well making it feel speedy for low level alts. I think the devs figured people slotting a Stealth IO in Sprint anyway so it stands to reason Sprint + Ninja Run gets you that stealthy ninja feel.

Like some others though, I'm not entirely awed by the martial arts theme for the natural origin but I'm pleased with the new emotes, additional costume pieces (including new weapons) and Ninja Run.

Of course now, people will be left to wonder what possibilities would entail for a Mutant Booster Pack.

Feral bounding, fore paws touching ground between each step? Couldn't help but think that as I was playing with back flips and tumbling. (Tapping jump as you run down the street can lead to multiple somersaults--which may please some folks I know in The Carnival of Light.)

Also makes me hope we either get travel customization or a small suite of additional runs with GR or an expansion down the line. Having even one alternative does wonders to freshen up getting around the game space.
