    Did ya miss me?

    Welcome back!

    Always good to see players returning! Its almost a new game heh.
  2. Happy Belated Birthday Vyx!

    Hope you got some stuff
  3. Two excellent MoTPN runs. Excellent work!
  4. I'll echo some of the other sentiments...sale on powerset? Sold. Now I'll pick up Street Justice even though I still have plenty of other lowbie projects on the plate.

    The team mission teleporter is very cool...something I'll look forward to purchasing in the future as thats something that can help everybody on the team especially with shard tfs.
  5. As for favorite incarnate trial, its currently Dilemma Diabolique (preferably master run for some badge goodness).

    For redside strike forces, I like LRSF, Barracuda and Mortimer Kal.

    Truth be told, I'd never turn down running something if I had the time to complete it.
  6. Congratulations to the winning team!

    And thanks to all who entered the challenge to compete for the fun!
  7. Well in the spirit of participation, an impromptu team came together and took a shot at a run.

    @talbein vikshus (Creepy Sonja - Controller)
    @kittens (Anna Archy - Dominator)
    @dawnfire7 (Ruby Dawnstar - Corruptor)
    @ayla (Konstrukt - Brute)
    @impyre (Impyre Jr. - Scrapper)
    @cynical mage (Gas Lamp - Tank)
    @elsa von bosom (Elsa von' Bosom - VEAT)
    @demonjen (Jens Toxic Radiance - Defender)

    I think we had a great time and I know we bludgeoned Apex with our fallen bodies! XD

    The bad thing is, I have to accept responsibility that I LOLed here and fully understand your reference.

  9. Protector Server

    Protector Watch
    Protector Vigilance
    Protector TFs (is set to private currently, but a great number of folks who use it for general chat, tf/sf/trial, badging purposes)

    In addition to the already mentioned Jello Shooters.
  10. Challenging to me has always been in the realm of organizing and coordinating a group/league toward to achieve specific goal(s).

    As someone who enjoys leading groups but also participates in pug trials/sfs/tfs, not every run can be set to 'auto' and finish successfully.

    "What?! I can't believe we failed the escapee phase!" - perplexed league leader with a preponderance of melee damage, some ranged, no control on a max size BAF run.
    (Of course, this scenario may be viewed as a challenge in of itself to some)

    Anything Master of generally is viewed a little more challenging than a standard run so team composition can play an important part of overall success. Herein lies the rub, an organizer can build a team/league that best suits the task at hand and accomplish just about any goal (MoKIR anyone?). But it ran so smoothly, that the process of finishing off the task makes it seem to the masses that it was easy.

    Huh?! What?

    So there are tons of players encompassing a broad skill range from excellent to beginner and the 'challenge' that I find most rewarding is pulling folks together and getting them to operate as a team and not as showboaters (read: one who runs off to solo to the detriment of the team/league's greater goal) for say a MoLambda series run for Well-Stocked, Antacid and Lambda Looter badges. Or for a MoBAF run to get Keep Them Separated and Strong and Pretty badges.

    Showboaters may consider that running off and taking care of team objectives is helping and challenging at the same time for them but that will ultimately be considered by the leader. I'm just providing my take on what is challenging to me.
  11. Echoing what many of the others said, "Dont worry about it too much" because it does happen now and then.

    Its part of what comes in organizing your own tf runs. It can be a big disappointment to all when nobody gets the reward merits or shard component from a successful run. As the tf leader responsible for setting it up, sometimes you feel the disappointment more keenly.

    All you can do for next time is pay attention to you gut about your team's composition. Remember, it is not wrong to ask for volunteer(s) to alt to something more beneficial to the team to increase chance of success.

    Those voluntarily alting, I would keep my eyes out on their globals because its usually a sign of flexibility and understanding team goals. They might be folks worth getting to know more and having on your global friends list.
  12. Congratulations on achieving a personal goal of yours on the game!

    Some of the tidbits you mentioned also reminded me of the way I felt when I first started out on this game 7 years ago like the music. I can still remember getting chills down the spine after I loaded up into Atlas Park. I still get that feeling sometimes when I listen to the music.

    Maybe I'll get around to doing the same thing you accomplished...

    And here is the screenie for proof!

    Was a smooth run we had, but I never did get that autograph from him.

    *Note* This was on Protector server
  14. I am interested in helping depending on my schedule. Let me know the details Stale.
  15. Echo the sentiment...

    Congratulations to all the winners!

    DING! Seven!

    Woohoo! Go Paragon!

    It has been at times a bumpy ride but as they say, the fun is getting there!

    Looking forward to another 7 years and thanks for the efforts to date.
  18. I have had several occasions where I've been devolved on consecutive clicks of Secondary Mutation power.

    Last time was on an Apex run...I had just clicked and turned into a rikti monkey and stated in team chat "Sucks to be devolved!" which ellicited a few lols.

    I then tempted the RNG by saying "With my luck, I'll be devolved on the next click" and of course, I devolve. That brought more "lmao!" and "rofls"

    However, I have never been devolved on three consecutive clicks so thats good I guess.

    I did get an offline response for which I submitted my support ticket as being a technical issue.

    And before I forget, I apologize for the threadjack cohrock. I came into the forum and your thread title immediately got my attention when my issues came up and then seeing Princess having the same issue, I thought I would chime in too.

    I've spoken with a few people on Protector and it is happening to some others (but not all). The expectation is for the support team to move your affected alt to a 'safe' zone so that you can try and log in again.

    Better, but the worry would still be there every time I have to go into Steel Canyon but thats a bridge that is waiting to be crossed once I can access the affected alts.

    I've been able to go to Steel City on other servers and load times are fine.

    I even went out and purchased a new CD thinking maybe I needed to just reinstall Going Rogue.

    I hope they fix this because my characters can't log in.
    I am experiencing exactly this problem (also on Protector). I've tried rebooting the comp, re-verifiying game files, multiple alts zoning from different areas and even one who happened to be logged out in Steel Canyon. All met with the same message of "No mapServer connection. Try again"

    I just sent in a support ticket and waiting for a response. We shall see....
  21. I really enjoy playing my Earth/Therm troller as the combo brings a lot to any team: excellent controls, excellent buffs and good debuffs.

    From my perspective, I would focus on recharge (also keeping in mind spiritual incarnate ability) when you finally hit 50. Having your key powers recharge quicker is a win route in team settings and even solo. I think going for +damage will leave you unsatisfied as it did me even for solo. I simply found it more fun running on teams rather than soloing my earth/therm.

    You can build toward softcap defenses (range and aoe positions makes the most sense) but its largely dependent on what direction you want to take the build...again more recharge means you will likely be giving up defense bonuses.

    Building out my earth/therm was tight because just about all the powers are useful. I took everything out of thermal radiation and in my book, Salt Crystals is the skippable power for Earth Control (more below). This of course, meant less power slots available to dip into Ancillary pools but I still managed take Leadership powers, Leaping (for travel) and Fire Mastery Epic.

    More comments: Thermal radiation has powers that can apply either to teammates and/or your Animate Stone. The debuffs Heat Exhaustion and Melt Armor greatly help in taking down Bosses/EBs/AVs/Monsters.

    Its hard for me to justify taking Salt Crystals because the sleep effect generally does not last long (especially in teams). Powers such as Stone Cages, Stalagmites, Earthquake and Volcanic Gasses breaks the sleep effect on mobs but will say that when soloing, you can more easily work around it.

    G'luck and have fun!
  22. The original date of the post was a couple of weeks ago (sorry for thread necro) but felt a definitive answer should be posted in case others search for the topic at a later date.

    The chance to knockdown proc from the kinetic combat set does work fairly well with Chain Induction as the chance propagates on each successful hop.

    I'd be happy to demonstrate this on test server.

    Small historical note, there was a bug (since fixed in i16) associated with ToD's Chance for Neg Damage that reduced CI's 100% hop after hitting the initial target, provided it was still alive.
