I'm not sure they'd do that - unless it was tied to owning the booster pack.

Are we just talking about combat, or should we consider other things like clairvoyance, telepathy, spoon-bending, etc.?

Could have sworn there was... or maybe I'm confusing it with Jumping Jacks... or maybe Tabula Rasa... gah, getting senile in my old age

So it's begun... We are having to purchase powers that aren't just cosmetic.

Oh i do love NcCrap 2nd booster pack bought and second problem 1st was a double billing now this, maybe when they decide to charge extra for these packs the person buying gets exactly whats ordered,.

Oh well will go back and wait the god know hrs till they decide to send me an e-mail.
I notice you're on Defiant. Did you perhaps incorrectly buy the US version? Someone in another thread did that.

Exactly. Nothing new to see here; move along, conspiracy theorists

That's exactly what I'm saying. That ability really shouldn't be something you can get by paying $10 more. I'm happy with booster packs as long as they're cosmetic only, but I really start to worry when they put in quasi-travel-powers.

And as I hasten to yet again add, the GvE jump pack is anything but merely cosmetic. I paid for that, dunno about anyone else.

Someone wielding a Broadsword seems pretty natural to me. Dual-Blades is possible without it being based on a martial art. Assault Rifle ... nah, you need super powers to heft one of those. Shield Defense ... nope, can't happen.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

What, like the Jump Pack?

Edit: Bah, Primal beat me to it

Besides, if you tip them too far, they may fall over, and that's just trouble all around.

Hmm the problem is that 'Natural' really covers a lot of ground, more so than any other origin other than Mutant.

This is a 'Martial Arts themed pack for Naturals' notice how it's not specifically the 'Natural Origin pack' like there is the SUPERSCIENCE! booster pack but a Martial arts one.

I suspect we're probably going to be seeing a couple of themed packs for the natural origin, Martial Arts (which we now have), Army/Police (Modern Soldier/World War 2 Soldier/SWAT style clothing etc.) and Street Thugs...

The jump pack doesn't really make you get from place to place that much faster. But tell you what - if you could ninja-run for 30 seconds and then have to wait for the run to rechage for 5 minutes, then I wouldn't be complaining.

Mission Teleport. A power I bought, and can no longer imagine myself playing with out.

Point. Your serve.

I don't get tennis analogies.

With the Endurance cost as it is, I might as well use it for 30 secs

As it is, if I need to get somewhere across town, I can just use the Pocket D teleporter I purchased with GvE also That's two non-cosmetic powers in one pack

One thing I'm curious about... people say things like "I'm going to respec out of my travel power and just use Ninja Run!"

... But does it become unavailable in situations where Temp Powers are disabled? (Master TF/SF runs, Ouroboros challenges, etc.)

Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges

Thats not a bad suggestion actually. Increase the speed slightly and make it have a recharge/downtime and you could use it as a short burst of speed. Wouldnt take anything away from the power really.

I like this idea!

It's not a temp power. It's an inherent.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Its always the little things that count
Some of the folks here have been doing "Pavel's Pushup Program" here at the office, so we had some good first hand animation reference material.

Not a valid comparison because most of the game is relatively flat terrain, with the occasional obstruction too high to hurdle over. A high jump power with a 2m (not 5m) recharge is of practical use; a moderately faster sprint with a 2m recharge... is not.

They'd better be doing four-count Marine pushups!

I heard Nick Fury is looking for you. Something about needing to kick your butt...

Seriously though, there are tons of "Natural" flavored heroes out there in different canons. Ever hear of a little character from the early 20th century--now mostly forgotten--called Batman? How about Daredevil? Yeah he had sonar-like senses, but beyond that, all natural. All the Watchmen but one were naturals. Most merc, agent and superspy characters are natural including Brock Sampson and that femme fetal Molatov. There are oodles of "natural" options conceptually. This could have been turned into the Rob Liefeld Memorial Pouches Everywhere Pack, but alas... not a hip pouch in sight. Nor a single detail that echoes the profound coolness that the Knives of Artemis get to sport everyday and flaunt in our general direction--such as knife holsters around boots and hip holsters for guns. I won't even go into back details. We've been waiting--some of us--literally for years now for those. I REALLY SINCERELY hope GR finally includes a back detail costume slot.

*sigh* Regardless, I bought it, but I am on the disappointed bandwagon for this costume pack. I have one character, an egomaniacal Moleman and his army of ninja servants that may make good use of some of these costume bits. And I have a FEW other characters that will use the ninja run regularly, one because he looks good with it. The others because it gives them the acrobatic flair when jumping that I always envisioned for them. And the costume change emotes are good alternatives for theatric characters and vigilantes. But this pack really doesn't have the broad appeal for me that even the odd bits and totally repurposable pieces of the Super Science Booster.
