The good news: I'd already asked for that weekend off.
The bad news: I already have plans to be very, very far away from my computer deep in the wilderness.

Have to say that I'm a little irked that this falls on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. They have always been so good about avoiding holidays, then this. I guess our holidays don't matter as much, even though there are a lot of Canadian players.
Oh well, I'm sure I can get in a good amount of time anyway.

I guess I've been XP-smoothed/boosted/patroled/boosted again/debt eliminated out of interest.
im excited! just put in my request to get off work that friday.
if the servers remain stable then i will be one very happy person.
Awesome! Too bad that's parent weekend at the University... oh well, I'm sure they won't understand, but I'll pretend they do anyways. And it's almost 4 days, woohoo!

No sympathy from me, I've worked every weekend (except for one and that was HeroCon) since I started playing.
So every 2XP weekend sees me pulling some late night.
I'd like to see my mains twin over on Justice ding 50 (hovering at 45), but I also don't want my friends stuck playing their 50's while doing so.
Yay, maybe our server won't be down the whole weekend like it was last time.

Excellent. Been waiting for this announcement for a couple weeks now, and pleased to see it come on a weekend I will be able to avail myself of the double rewards.
Time to grind out that last influence badge!

And helping a fellow player get to 50 isn't me being "stuck" playing my 50's, it's what I'd do for friends.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Why is this always on a weekend? How about a double xp week? Weekends are always so busy.....
I'm a bit conflicted with this since not only are people like myself stuck stalking the twitter (damn thing) page and facebook (it's mostly harmless...mostly) for the costume countdown going on for the Herocon event thats taking place this month which forces me to make a choice: play the game and get some levels on my project toons or put on an audio commentary for a movie I own and sit in fron of my web browser bored as the minutes turn into hours slowly.
Unlike the last two Double XP weekends we've had this year we also get a nice reactivation bonus too.Those of you who let your accounts go inactive can come back,check out the added stuff (not a whole lot by any standard but it's the quality that matters) plus gain some levels or do some TF/SFs with new/old players.

Damn it...I had already taken off days last week for my B-Day and the weekend of double xp I volunteered to work an extra day. Whoa short notice. Oh well, one good day of playing for me I guess.
