One per character.

Server status page shows all the Live servers being up; says Test is down, though.

On a Friday? Highly unlikely; they'll want people to be at work the next few days after release for emergency bug stomping. Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.
Only time they have not given out 1 token per costume with the Golden Age party - and that granted a flat 2 per person - to enable people to create their costume, then change back if they wanted too after the evet.
Monday is the "I've had 2 days to rest, anything I can see now with fresh eyes I didn't see before?" day.

And Issue 6 pretty much didn't count - it was heavily tested as part of City of Heroes, was required to bring the game up to date for CoV so the headstart on CoV could go live on Monday, and that came up like that because they wanted CoV to Go Live & Open on Halloween.

I bet they'll release it before I can get a new laptop! My old one's busted!

Enjoy I16 everybody!

That's not all bad.

If they released it after you got your new computer, you'd be patching at the same time everyone else is- plus you'd have to wait for it.

At least this way, when you get your computer back, everyone else will be done patching so your patch should go faster.

Right?

With the advent of dual builds, why not just let the freespec's stack, offer 2 per issue, or make the TVspecs/Treespecs repeatable. A lvl 50 Trial that is repeatable would be nice, for those instances where an EPP or PPP choice gets freem'd or both builds are changed.

But:

An email to the account holder, a pop up GMotD, or a note on the loader would be the best. Some of us prefer to play rather than read, but I am enjoying the Dexter novels...

Fnord happens...

A friend of mine claims that he got a GMotD pop up, close to a week ago. It stated to use any freespecs within a week because of I16. I don't rememebr getting such a pop up... Maybe something is bugged and not everyone got one.

It seems likely. I'd be a little disappointed if this is the case though, there are still some fairly serious bugs running loose. Mostly because we've seen how likely it is that they'll be swiftly dealt with once the build goes live. (The various chat bugs and the glitches with character bios, for example.) And while I really like the new graphics options for some power sets (the alternate Spines and Stone Armors, for example) there are some issues with the new models that look really, really awful and aren't currently fixed on Test. (The metal Spines float behind the left leg of a female character, and in front of *both* legs of anyone using the Monster legs, and there's some weird issues with Ice Swords.)

*shrugs* There's still many bugs that need fixing and much player input that's gone unanswered. We'll see I16 very soon and maybe if we're lucky a followup patch will fix some of our concerns. Lately I've just become used to things not working quite right.

I'm not sure if I would classify some misaligned FX geometry as a "fairly serious bug". However, both the female version of the metal spines and the misaligned FX for Ice Sword have already been fixed, they just haven't made it into a build yet.

The issue with the monstrous legs is a bit more difficult, and we're exploring some solutions that wouldn't require removing all of the spine geos below the knee.

That's pretty much standard. If they waited until they stamped out all the bugs, made all the tweaks they'd have to push back release pretty much indefinitely. After all, there are always bugs; Live and Test. They fix some, something else breaks; they fix that and another bug pops up, etc. So they just wait until the bug level becomes acceptable.

And the "OMG recipes droprates are 35% under what they should be" bug isn't serious either?

Appologies. I did not articulate that as well as I intended. I agree, those FX issues aren't bugs as such, and aren't serious compared to some of the genuine glitches (crashes, lockups, bizarre UI behaivior.) It's good to know that some of them have been fixed though.

Patcher is applying a patch right now, without downloading anything. This is obviously the pre-download patch that everyone should have had for a week or two now, so yeah... Issue 16 today.

BABs, I would also like to point out a small animation error thats right up your alley that is reproducable on live. With the Merc MasterMind powerset, the "Medic's" gizmo that he holds floats in mid air when he uses it. Happens every time and also happens on test. Any news on this glitch?

(basically his hand moves, the device does not and hangs in the air as well after use for a good second)

Oh, and one more thing... We should get at least one free tailor session as well seeing how this makes massive changes to the tailor and the things we can do there. (so it doesn't end up costing a arm and a leg....)

I'd still love to see the "On Mission Map"/"On ArenaMap"/"In Base" display fixed someday. It still seems as if a teammate is in any of the three the game chooses one of those messages almost at random. But that's been there for SO long.........

A bug that's been mentioned in BaB's official animation bug thread, Post#80. And I also found it in Darrin Wade's mission where the Lost are experimenting on hostages; some are using that "tricorder" thing and it levitates like you say.

Supposedly we are getting a costume token for each unlocked costume slot.

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.
