Pl'd characters ie ones that are 50 in less than X time could be coded to lose badges and be incapable of receiving them, this then rules out accolades and temp powers and encourages the making of another toon which would/might have to see the game. It'll also be somewhat less harsh and for those of us not wishing to tell an empath what CM means on a MoSTF we can purposely be aware of characters with no badges. That I think is better than killing of peoples characters. People are people, they knew it was cheating but especially the newer ones they naturally couldn't wait to see the powers and did what temptation told them.

Personally I say stop crying about the MA system take the piece of [censored] back, I made a proper arc which was barely played because of Plv'ers, you don't see me crying about it. What I am angry about is the fact that Posi thinks he can threaten to ban accounts and lock toons because players used a flew in a system they released which they were most likely aware of before it went live and for that alone the game is likely to lose a lot of players Ive been playing for 4 yrs now and wondering what the point is, the devs make a mistake and the players are being penalized for it, I am now also thinking of leaving but wanna see how the situation is handled before I make up my mind completely.
A majority of players have indeed been requesting measures to be taken against farming since Beta. Measures can now be taken.
It's taken a while to get to the bottom of this but please, does it have this poisonous on these boards?
I understand that many are conjecturing wildly after what Positron said but, had we decided to react more lightly than this, there would have been just as much ruckus.

Personally, im concerned that i will lose the 700 million inf i had in reserve because i wanted to create and level 2 characters i had on the US servers over here, i saw the quick solution of MA farming and took it. Am i going to lose my inf/characters/time because i cut a corner?
Please Avatea, use what ever power you to have to shut Positron up, its clear he has limited at best PR skills and he seems to nark everyone off every time he gives a statement.

I can't say what he thinks or can anyone else for that matter, his statement may of been an at worse scenario in order to stunt the problem and make me slow down 
. Lets not forget that players here do play other NCSoft games and that in itself is something to be grateful for but atleast we know that maybe some fair and just adjustment is gonna come.

This is fantastic. It's about time. I personally can't wait for CO to come out, so all the farmers and people who have a problem with CoX can go away and leave the rest of us to enjoy our game.

Lets not kid ourselves here this is a problem they
created. They had a lot of testing and would have
known this was bound to happen. Only a complete
idiot from a world of utopia truely believes the
majority of the player base plays for a "creative
experience".
The game is geared to achieving. If they wanted the
MA to be a creative experience then why did they
add tickets. They know why because without a reward
no one would make use of all that work they did.
You truely want it to be a "creative tool" remove
the xp and reward system and see how much of your
player base still uses it. Rather than make vague
statements about "we will do this and this" without
stating exactly what the reasons for "this and this"
will be.
For the record I was against the MA as soon as I heard
about it. It didnt take a genius to know the impact it
would have (which was handy cos im really quite a dunce).
After it came out I to got hooked on it. For me it allowed
me to try out different idea's, but to be totally honest
if there was no reward for it pure "creativity" alone
wouldnt have got me in the door.

I don't think you fully understand what's happening right now.
If this situation isn't rectified very quickly it's possible that there won't be a CoX in 12 months time to play.
The problems that are facing CoX right now are these:
PvE players becoming disillusioned with the direction and lack of development and leaving.
Farmer/PL focused players being targetted by the devs and leaving. Take a look at the split in the community on the US boards over this.
PvP players leaving, due to the drastic changes in PvP. Many are gone already.
New competiton in the shape of CO, which like it or not is going to attract a number of CoX players. What that number will be is impossible to say, but I'm certain that if CO is good many of those will not return to CoX in a hurry.
I can't think of another time that the game has been in such a precarious position.

What alot seem to be overlooking is the devs gave the players MA and dont tell me they didnt know farm maps were not going to happen, they could have done something about it but no.

So you got caught out? So what? Adjust the rules to suit yourself all you want but you're not in charge of setting them and neither am I. Deal with it.
And if you haven't seen any arguments as to why excessive and prolific PLing has a good chance of ruining the game then you need an eye test.
I have not yet seen a decent argument as to why PLing is a good thing. Especially PLing from 1-50 in a short amount of time, straight out of the box from Atlas Park/Mercy Island. And no, because 1-22 is a bit of a grind is not, imo, a good enough reason.

It's a grind to 22 (ooooh, Stamina ), it's a grind to 30, it's a grind to 40 and, as far as I've found so far, it's a grind to 50.
Tell you what, I'll grind the way I choose, thanks. At least over the last month we've been able to find teams without having to wait, hope and pray for three hours.

you mean you still wait for a team... as I never stopped being able to get teams in 10 min or less.
I dont like people leaving.... and I know its a dangerous time for changes like this. But I find farming boring as hell. I have tried it to get purple s but it is. The MA should by right just be a small addition in the whole game. And I think it should be creative good new stuff only.
Just half the xp get in them. I dont mind and will still be playing the good arcs. It is the easiest way to stop farmers and pl.
Be honest... is it fair that you can get in 4 hours now what the veterans had to do in 4 months? Why has the game began to be so easy?
Again... the MA is an addition. Not the game. If people never leave MA... the rest of teh game is dead.

all posi is doing is going to start taking action on peoples accounts and power levels. this is ultimately going to hurt the game more than help because eventually an innocent person is going to get there account locked and it will all go down hill from there.
posi is retroactively punishing the majority by trying to fix a problem with the minority when he should instead be focusing on fixing the system itself.
