  1. Down on the beach in question, amongst the castle builders and frisbee throwers a young dark skinned girl with long black hair lay on her towel on the beach. It had been a long time since she last went to the beach. A spot in the sun was just what she deserved.

As the psychic warning of mankinds doom echoed across the minds of everybody on the beach, she opened an eye. Just her luck.

She grudgingly stood up, brushing the sand from her bikini clad body and looked out over the sea, sizing up the gargantuan whale with a look of disdain and irritation. It's always something.

A curtain of rock rose around her, showering the amazed if somewhat perplexed onlookers with sand as she created a nice cylinder around herself and began to get changed.

'One day' she thought to herself as she changed into her green spandex and golden belt, securing the various methods of protection before slipping on the veil 'One day I won't need to bring my costume...'

The cylinder of rock fell away back into the sand like it had never been there, and where once there had been just another sun bather, now stood Mysticism, controller of the earth, bringer of storms and beater of any damn thing that interrupts a perfectly nice day.
  2. The skyscrapers of Steel Canyon rose high above the carnage filled streets. The main roads were littered with people fighting. Gunshots rang through the streets, screams and yelling filling the air along with the scent of blood, fear and rage.

A gang member ran past the alleyway, worry visible through the sweat as he ran. Pausing momentarily he decided that the alley was a better idea than the open street. As he heard the footsteps behind him he sped up, running around the corner. Only for him to stop dead. It was blocked. The was a dead end and there was nothing back here to help get over the wall. Not even dustbins. Not even a hobo to pay to give him a leg-up. Too late.

The heavy breathing behind him was possibly the scariest thing he'd heard in a long time. The slow, ragged breaths as the man shuffled around the corner, his white shirt stained red, his black working trousers ripped, the pistol in his hand shaking uncontrollably.

The worst part however was his face. The incessant nervous chuckling began again as he saw the gang member at the end of the alley, the twisted grin getting slowly wider as he began to pick up speed. His eyes, empty of humanity and filled instead with madness, anger and a hint of amusement.

    "Y-y-you've plagued our city for t-t-too long... I-I'm the h-hero now... hehe... n-n-now I have the p-power..."

He raised the pistol at the gang member, trying to aim despite all the shaking, still advancing. The first shot hit the brickwork behind the gang member, who ducked instinctively. The second shot never came. From nowhere a figure appeared, seemingly fading into sight behind the deranged civilian. Clad in bulky armour, mostly black save for patches of dark green, a row of lights along the side of the helmet. It looks like Arachnos armour but... modified. Silently a large green power mace was drawn, large sharp fins surrounding a hole at the top. With a sudden swish the mace smacked the unknowing civilian in the back of the head, the metal just below the fins making a pleasant crunch as it connected with the back of the mans skull.

The suited figure rolled over the collapsed body and began humming to itself. The tune was pleasant and a little jaunty, checking the injury before a small capsule into the mans mouth. The figure suddenly noticed the gang member against the wall, and casually walked over to him.

The voice from the figure seemed somewhat metallic and static, but on the whole rather cheerful and high pitched despite the imposing armour.

"Hello there! You don't seem to be affected by this out brake of infectious disease. It's all rather interesting isn't it! I must admit, I didn't think Spruk was the sort of person to make something so well conceived! Still, he seems to not like me very much, so I doubt I'll get to talk to him..."

The ganger looked past the armoured figure to the unconscious man on the floor behind him and decided he didn't want to hang around. Suddenly he tried to push past the armoured figure and escape, but a metal gang grabbed him arm with a strength far greater than his own.

"Oh I'm sorry, you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Here, if you don't want to be infected by this terrible, terrible disease then just take this capsule! You'll be completely safe from the disease I assure you."

The ganger looked worried "Heh, no thanks man, really, I just need to... uh.. get home, to my uhh... family you know? Yeah. Eheh."

The suit nodded for a second, then without losing any of it's cheerfulness it replied "I see. Well you have a choice. I can either have you take that capsule or I can knock you unconscious with your friend there, then take you both back to my lab to observe what happens to somebody when attacked! Really, it's no problem! After all if you don't want to be immune, obviously you want to be infected by this virus!"

The ganger gave him a worried grin "Oh okay man, I'll take your pill, sure, no problem, I don't wanna die, you know?"
As he popped the capsule into his mouth and swallowed it with a nervous laugh, he made to leave, trying to pull away from the crazy metal clad figure, but the arm held him in place.

The metallic voice laughed "Oh, you misunderstood! You won't survive! No no, you're simply furthering the cause of science by dying in a way that is more useful to me. You see I've been refining BX52C9 for some time, and really needed a test subject! So you see you'll be immune to this disease, because you'll be too busy dying from this instead!" the suit laughed "Hah! Funny how these things turn out hm?"

It opened a compartment and took out a clipboard and pen.

"Now, tell me, do you feel in any way nauseous? Extreme headache perhaps? Losing feeling in any limbs?" the voice remained very cheerful as it carefully prepared to take notes. Neurocide preferred it when they took it willingly. Struggling is such a bore.
  3. Okay, so as it says in Unwelcome Return, it seems Dr Neurocide has taken Kall's phone while looking for Spruk at her house again. He does it a lot. Don't ask.

So when Mech phoned Kall... Neurocide would pick up the phone. I'd like to know everything about this phone. Is it able to call others up? Does it have the numbers of the other NWA members? Is it traceable? Basically Neurocide wants Spruk's number (something Spruk -does not- want him to have) so he'll be looking for it through the phone.
Also, if you'd prefer we can do the phone conversation through tells or PMs here or even via Unwelcome Return thread. Up to you.
  4. I would like to add that Walter would more than likely work against them. Order is an excellent source to be used, if used properly (as he has shown with his working with Arachnos and the Dusk Spiders). Tearing that down would make life difficult unless you're on the top. And for there to be a top, there needs to be a bottom, which in itself is order. Thus, he'll be out to stop this stupid display of attention seeking, as it really will be annoying if they succeed.

Edit: Hmm, if possible, I may even make his opposition known during the meeting. Though naturally, he can't be there himself as they'd just kill him.

    Unwelcome return

My television flickered back to life, the regular broadcast illuminating the walls of my office with it's familiar, comforting glow. The message that had been on just before was a little less comforting. I might actually have to do some work for a change.

Felix Greene, retired detective, now gone private for personal investigation, tailing, stakeouts and most importantly... a bit of handy cash on the side. Police pensions just aren't what they used to be.

This 'Dr Mechano' guy had been on TV a few times, and I'm not talking about the normal prime time coverage. Mechano had obviously heard the phrase. Don't do the crime if you wanna stay off prime. Or... something like that. I forget.

I forget a lot of stuff lately. Which reminds me, before I do anything about this call to arms of super powered villainy and evil, I had something that I had to do.

    Something that couldn't wait.

Something I'd been meaning to do for the last three days, and was now starting to punish my procrastination with a pungent aroma starting to settle in my office like the damp on the far wall.

I needed to do my laundry.
  6. Bit late, but better late than never! Happy Birthday Catz!
  7. This is fantastic. It's about time. I personally can't wait for CO to come out, so all the farmers and people who have a problem with CoX can go away and leave the rest of us to enjoy our game.

    Good work Posi!

Arc is called Dawn After Dusk, about Walter Steamworth attempting to cut himself off from Arachnos and take a lot of their research in the process.
I'll send you a basic (and probably crude) image of what I'd like the basic poster to be like, but thought I'd post asap so I got a place. PM on the way soon!
  9. ((I won't be coming either on the 25th, as I will be off to a gig!))

    MA RP

The whole 'I don't know that character very well so I won't interact with them despite them being a new person and/or making several attempts at getting attention from people' is very prominent and it's very difficult to get to know anybody as a newcomer.

As such it becomes quite an inbred community as less people go due to not actually getting to RP because they haven't had a chance to talk to anybody yet.

Considering everybody is a superhero and it's a not particularly widely known hang out spot, you'd think new people finding it would be something people noticed!

As for Ds, at least things happen there! You stand around in either bar, people talk to you! They make conversation over the bar, offer you a drink, EVEN (shock! horror!) ask you what you're writing about when you stand at the side writing in your notebook not drawing attention!

I hate to break it to the GGers out there, but they may not be the cream of the crop when it comes to roleplaying, but at least they actually do some. It' not perfect, but it's something.

I wish we could use RWZ one, as it would allow people to bring villains too ^^ Like Pocket D without the tools and spamming!
  12. The Freaks obviously weren't expecting trouble. They just ambled around, tossing quips back and forth and listening to their music. None of them seemed to be the obvious leader, but several were likely candidates. It was one of these that spoke up:

"Hey, I'm gonna go get a ciggie out front. Anyone comin'?"

There were a few grunts that signified the affirmative and the three freaks came walking towards the front door of the warehouse. And the group of heroes watching them.

    IC Eden Trial

I'd be up for this, with Mysticism. She'd be very interested in this IC, being connected to the planet and all. I'm available on Sunday, at about 6:30pm - 9.00pm. Contact me via PM here or tell @Emperor Lol

so what level toons are you pitching at MG , and from you first post [ QUOTE ]
Although Villains, the members of the group are more on the "branded evil" side, and have mostly just done things that weren't 'bad' in their eyes.

[/ QUOTE ]..does this mean you dont want real criminals ? or do you mean you do not want "evil" characters ie half demon ,pet puppy roasting ,random decapatating , kill all humans , cyborg ultra killing machines types ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

More people who do what they want, but don't think them selves evil?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Frankly, the term 'villain' is more often than not a name branded on them by heroes. We're willing to take most villains, anybody who isn't likely to stab us all in the back. Six Sigma runs for anybody who needs somewhere to go. It's almost a sort of sanctuary, villains united by goal, persecution or simply because they have nowhere else to go. The base provides equipment to said villains for whatever reasons they wish, allowing them to work on their goals or business whatever that might be. The one thing is, your business is your own, if it isn't directly related to Six Sigma, don't expect us to pull you out of your own mess.

We will be intending to use the MA arcs for regular SG events, having an entry arc to each division when you join it, often having arcs made by Lunates/Sigma in order to get jobs done and even test current members. One thing is, general MA arc missions would not be confidential, they'd be a mission being done for you Lunate. This would gain you plenty of brownie points if it were to succeed I'm sure, so you'd be free to talk about it with other members, it makes for good RP.

To confirm, we take practically anyone, but if you screw with us because 'you're evil haw haw haw' the Inquisitors -will- take you down.

I will also make a request of having this split into a different thread.
  15. ((Light Keeper enters the warehouse to find that the door was boobytrapped, setting off a bomb and blowing off both her legs. She is forced to live out the rest of her life in a wheelchair, but is alive. ... ... ... Happy AB? she's alive! hahaha, okay, seriously though.))

As Light Keeper entered warehouse 329, she found her self face to face with...... not a lot. There was the stench of long left damp, mould and rust. Along the sides of the room were tables, the occasional rotten wooden box and in one place a large overturned bath. At the other end of the room was a corridor that lead deeper into the warehouse. The room was very dark, but Light Keeper made her way over to the corridor, staying alert and invisible.

When Chief Centurion and Kid Healer opened he door to warehouse 565 they saw very different things to Light Keeper. Tables were lined down the room, metal junk and mechanical parts spilling off them. Large piles of junk were around the place, wires and parts heaped and seemingly forgotten. The room was damp and cold, and had a corridor like warehouse 329. Next to this however was a large generator. It was humming quietly away to itself, three thick cables running from the generator to down the corridor.

Opening the door to warehouse 523, Aisha and Flash walked carefully inside. Before them they saw a small group of Freakshow, some sleeping, some working on their crude metal augmentations, others talking amongst themselves. The Freaks had not yet noticed the two heroes inside, but it wouldn't be long before they did.

((Just a reminder, you don't know what's going on in the other warehouses until something is said over the radio channel!))
  16. Mysticism ducked as laser fire went over her head, she managed to send a gale down the sewer tunnel, stalling the robots at the least as they try to keep their footing. While using wind while underground wasn't easy, she had something far better up her sleeve.

The robots momentarily distracted, she focused on the rock the mastermind lobster was hiding behind, making it suddenly explode outwards into stalagmites, attempting to hit the lobster with them.

'Now for the hard bit...' she thought, and began concentrating on the walls between her and the lobster. Using as much power as possible without draining herself, she began trying to de-stabilise the rock holding up the tunnel. If she could cave the tunnel in, she could save the other lobsters. Maybe even trap the robot commanding lobster.

Once she had done that, she could work on stopping them detonating that bomb.

'And dammit!' Mysticism thought 'Gaia won't stop giggling! What the hell is that about?'
  17. The heroes arrive at the warehouses the surgeon described. Three of them stand there in the dark, tall and foreboding, each one looking abandoned and not a sound can be heard. Next to the large rusted shutter doors on the front of each was a number. The warehouse on the far right was numbered '523'. The one next to it, in the middle read '329' and finally, the last warehouse called '565'. They were pretty much identical, other than the signs of age that could be seen all over them.

With no way to know what was inside each, they would need to search them to see if the Surgeon was telling the truth.
  18. I was nearly at the registration desk, wondering why the girl at the desk was staring at me when I was jumped on by an official looking young man in black. Badge shinier than a dime in coke and tie like he'd been laying in the road when they painted the lines on, he thrust his hand at me like he wanted to get rid of it.

Hicks was the name, but he didn't look like a Hicks. Maybe a Simmons. Or a Johnson. Either way he knew my name, so I shook his hand. He looked like the type that 'has potential'. Not that that means much in the force. Potential to shuffle paper maybe. If you were good, you either had super powers or they weren't willing to risk you getting your head kicked in by an over zealous Hellion. Or maybe that's just me.

I didn't reply, the lieutenant was obviously in a hurry. Everybody is these days. I waited for him to say what he was about to tell me.
  19. It was raining now. The type of rain that has a deep chill in it's veins, enough to make you shiver through any type of coat and mine was no exception. Hell, mine was probably worse than most, it wasn't exactly water-proof.

Peering through the waterfall created by the brim of my hat, I found I'd reached the hotel. I'd have probably liked it, if I didn't know there was a dead girl inside. I guess nowhere's perfect.

I walked into the lobby, soaked to the skin and colder than a winters day in Alaska. At least the central heating was on in here. Then again maybe not, I prefer my corpses icy. They tend smell better. Not that I'd showered today, so maybe we'd get right along.

I reached into my coat and pulled out my dusty old badge. A little out of date, but that probably wouldn't matter for this. Clutching it at the ready, I approached the registration desk.
  20. Sampson didn't look happy. He pondered for a moment, looking at the clean-up operation around him. The last thing he wanted was another version of this. The report could wait, whatever was behind this whole problem needed to be dealt with before it knew they were onto it. He sighed and looked to the group of heroes.

"Fine. Whatever is behind this needs to be taken care of, but I want you to keep me informed of what you find. Take this radio, we'll be listening in on the other end. If you have ANY trouble then call us for help. I'll have a team on standby outside waiting to help. Once you call us in though, it'll be my operation and I'll take it from there. The last thing I want is this" he gestured at the carnage around him "happening again."

He shook his head, wondering if he was making a mistake. He turned to Aisha and handed her the radio.

"You work with the PPD, so you'll be the one I trust. I counting on you all."

With that he turned away, making sure the clean up operation went smoothly.
  21. I woke to find I'd fallen asleep in my office again. A dank musty smelling room with a window, a desk, a filing cabinet and not a lot else. The now cold coffee had a dead fly in it, floating in lazy circles around it's murky watery grave. You and me fly, I thought, we're in the same situation.

I chucked the coffee out of the window, ignoring the cry of anger from the person it must have landed on. The tiny budget kitchen was three doors down the hall. Not worth the effort.

I stepped outside to get my mail. There was something in it. Wasn't often that I got mail. Not any more. I pulled out the large brown envelope and went back inside, grabbed another coffee on the way back.

Back in my office, the envelope spilled it's contents easily enough. Inside was a note, some files and a picture of a nice looking girl, giving me a toothy grin. On quick inspection of the files, it became obvious that nobody was going to be seeing that grin again.

I pulled on my hat and coat, the sky threatening me with rain as I walked outside. As I started walking off towards the Hotel Geneva, I knew two things for certain. There was a murderer on the loose... and that it was going to be one of those days.
  22. The sound of running and shouting echoing down the tunnels alerted the heroes that the police had arrived. A SWAT team secured and cordoned off the area, making sure it was safe for the team of medics that arrived a second later.

The medics got to work insuring that those who were alive stayed that way, and called in stretchers for the wounded, be they hostage or otherwise.

The last surgeon had his broken arm treated and his good arm cuffed to an officer who had a look on his face that said 'Come on, give me an excuse.'

The SWAT team leader walked over to the group of heroes as they were talking.
"I'm captain Sampson, the area is secured and the wounded will be taken care of. I... don't know what the hell went on here, but I'm going to want a report on this damn soon. It looks like this was a standard Vahzilok attack, so if you all wouldn't mind coming with me, we can get this straightened out."

Across the room a medic looks up from the hostage missing his eye, who now has a bandage over it, and shouts over to the heroes. "What the hell happened to this guy? He's not responding at all. It's like he's... I dunno. He isn't dead but..." the medic shines a small pocket torch in the hostages eye, hoping for a response. He puts it away after a few seconds, very troubled.

Amongst all the noise, two SWAT team members may be heard talking in low voices, something about "...they're supposed to be 'heroes', but this is just a mess."
  23. ((The surgeon doesn't know any more than that, just what he saw))

The surgeon cowered, clutching his arm, mumbling to himself under his breath about the injustices in the world...
  24. The surgeon knew it. He was going to die. The big metal guy with energy coming out him like a storm gave that away. But the rest seemed to be okay. At least they were holding him back, even if they were threatening him with the psi-unit...
The surgeon glared at the Chief with a mixture of fear and defiance. He turned back to landrig.
"Huge thing... like, double the size of me... massive and made of steel or something, no chimneys, but had more fire power than a tank! Didn't know they had that kinda [censored] in Paragon."

He casts a look at Chief again "If you wanna go get killed for people who're already dead, go ahead. Saw him up in the Chasm area. By some warehouses. Three of them, dunno which one he was in. The group right next to the Abyss Towers. Listen just let me go okay? I helped you! We're even! I won't even tell any high-ups who you guys are! Just let me go!"

The surgeon was pleading now, and started inching back towards the sewer door.
  25. The surgeon looked visibly much better from the healing, eyeing the various heroes round him. There was no escape. It was tell them or die. Chances are he'd die anyway... but if so it won't make much difference to him.

"Urgh... fine, look... I don't know much. Wasn't me that dealt with him... it was Nick and... well, you kill him so he won't be talking. All I know is some massive frikken robot was giving us free mea-- people. Said they wouldn't resist right! He was right, they just sorta plodded along, I don't know what the hell they did to them but... they aren't people anymore, just bodies. So you won't kill me right? I told you about the robot! They're just bodies! Not people!"

He squirmed on the ground trying to get up, but had a little difficulty with his not completely healed arm.
