Flashpoint halted her training and listened, having had her radio linked to her comm, moving across to the side of the training room she streched and grined as she slipped her towel around her neck and moved off to get changed in her room.
A few minutes later she was dashing out the lobby of the tower and weaving her way through the city to Brickstown, vaultling low walls etc. Hoping she reached it in time...

Something crackled into existance atop one of the taller buildings in Brickstown. For a moment, the air bent and warped in unsettling ways, and there were shadows that crept and twisted through the air.
Then a figure stood up, black and red armour lightening to red and white. Chief Centurion raised a hand to his comm unit, looking out over the streets as he listened to the replayed message.
Then, with a snap of metallic wings, he leapt off the rooftop, soaring skywards and onwards, towards the area near the Chasm...

Officer Aisha Stone was helping a young, nervous female up into a SWAT Van when she heard her radio buzzing with life. Giving the terrified looking girl a smile, she winked and spoke with a voice as soft as silk.
"You're safe now, sweetie. This lot will get you home."
Slamming the door shut, she knocked three time and the engine rumbled into life, taking the young girl home, away from the horrors she had been subjected to in the Council base Aisha had just cleared, hidden under the buildings of Brickstown.
Hearing the call come in and realising she was close, the PPD Awakened Officer straightened her costume. Her eyes glowed softly and she delicately floated from the floor, before flying off in the direction of The Chasm.

The car the radio signal had come from was not a pretty sight. The blood smeared remains of the windscreen was shattered and glass was everywhere. The bonnet was crumpled from the gang of surgeons trampling over it and the radio itself lay broken and smashed on the floor. The lights on the roof still threw a whirling blue and red glow onto everything in the night.
The police officer who had made the call for help was nowhere to be seen, but a trail of dark liquid led the way to another alley nearby. It was a long alley and tall buildings peered down onto it, but other than the echoing sound of footsteps inside, nobody else was around.
The Chief clanked after the grim trail, peering along its length. His metallic body glowed faintly, and then more brightly, the red plates shifting to sky blue, and the light became a brighter white, chasing the shadows into the corners, before he strode in. He held himself at ease as he walked, hands by his sides, but his head swung slightly from side to side, the glow behind the visor shifting as it took in every corner of the alley, looking for anything that was amiss...

Healer Kid had been sitting in his SG base when the radio call came through.
He rushed for the Telepad to Brickstown as he appeared outside the hospital he looked out over the buildings towards the Chasm, he began teleporting over Brickstown.
He looks into the car and backs off, he had never been good with that amount of blood. Looking round for clues he spotted The Chief at the alley. Porting over to him he focuses on The Chief and Fortifies his will.
"I got your back, names Healer Kid, any idea what this is about yet?"
Flash choaked and lit her hands up as flares, approaching the other alley she looked at Cheif, "Holy [censored], what the hell happend...." sighing Flash cracked her neck lightly

Aisha, known on her hero license as Alruna, softly placed her feet down near the wrecked vehicle, stumbling and stepping back on to solid ground.
Her brow curled into a grimace as she scanned the carnage, her gloved hand reaching out to the smashed radio as she crouched, sighing and imagining what she was about to walk into.
Standing and streching out the pains in her back from the day's work, she cautiously made her way over towards the alley with the congregating crowd, her eyes and arms giving off the tell-tale glow of Kheldian energy and causing an eerie glow to fall over the dank space.
"What do we have so far?"

The Chief looked around as the small group of Heroes gathered around.
"Nothing much, so far," he said quietly, glancing at Alruna. "Spread out. See if anyone can find any more traces. Look for life signs, heat signatures, anything. But be careful. Vahziloks crowd of butchers are bound to be around somewhere...and you know the sort of company they keep."

Aisha nodded, all too knowingly. If there was one thing she'd still not got used to after joining the PPD, it was a Vahzilok crime scene.
"There's another patrol car at the end of that alley. Someone should check it out."
Arching her neck and scanning the rooftop skyline, bathed in a light glow from the moonlight, she looked for signs of life, or disturbance.
"And someone should check up top. I'm gonna check this place."
With the softly spoken words, almost a whisper dancing in the late night air, she stepped up the small stairway to the nearest apartment block, knocking lightly on the rear door before trying the handle.

LightKeeper peers down at the scence. She sighs at the sight of the carnage the vahzliok caused. after pauseing to look at the car from afar she
walked sliently along the roof tops looking for cules.
Only her eyes which glow fainlty in the dark to help her see could be seen.
Flash moved over to the other car, expecting to be assaulted at almost any moment, peering inside it, "THis is like something from a horror movie." the remark hansg in the air like a weight as she tried not to get blood on her clothes or cause any evidence to be lost...

As Aisha turned the handle the door rattled but was locked. A well placed kick could easily send it flying from it's hinges but obviously no forced entry had taken place before now. The windows of the apartment were dark all over the building.
The car at the other end of the alley was worse than the other. Obviously the surgeons hadn't had enough people to take more bodies, as both policemen from the car were still there. What was left of them. One had more holes in him than a cheese grater, though obviously he had actually put up a fight. He was missing an arm and his cap had fallen down over his face. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to lift it.
The second one was more intact. He had been stabbed, but only once in the shoulder and again in the stomach. A slight pulse could be found in him, and with some medical attention, he may even survive. Right now though, he was barely conscious. The problem is, he's the only witness to where the surgeons went, but talking will only make his condition worse.
Releasing the handle delicately so as not to disturb the occupants who might be inside and somehow still asleep, Aisha stepped back down into the alley.
Carefully stepping over strewn rubbish and small puddles, she made her way over to the second car and observed the horror. She covered her mouth to hide the quiet gasp as her eyes adjusted to the dark and got the whole scene, before she suddenly stepped forward.
"This one's alive! Barely, we need medical attention now."
Her index and middle finger touched his neck, timing the pulse and looking over his wounds.

The Chief clanked over, his armour shifting to blue and white once more, the air around him going light and clear, an aura of serenity in the grim, dark, tense confines of the alley.
"Stand back," he advised, his right palm glowing with what looked like a globe of pure white light, which was infact contained energy, infused with that of a Kheldian. Peacebringers, unlike thier warsahde counterparts, could heal at a pinch, much like what the Chief attempted now. Gently, he laid the globe on the mans chest, watching closely as it seemed to dissapitate and sink into his flesh...

Hearing the calls from the second car he focused and Bamfed (had to do it) over to them, looking into the car as Chief began healing him.
He smiled slightly, "I think," he raised his hands "this will be a little more effective" he shook as a red and green glow formed round them.
He moaned in pain and fell to his knees as he took the pain from the cop inside the car.
Moving around the scene Flash examines the whole car, looking for anything out of the ordinary just as Healer Kid falls to his knees

The Chief sighed, leaning down to help the empath to his feet again.
"Quicker, maybe, but more risky," he chided quietly, "There is little point crippling yourself if the greater challenges are yet to come."
Resting the young man on the edge of the cars pounded bonnet, the Chief moved back around to see how the PPD officer was faring...

((Considering he was nearly dead, that's a lot of pain you absorbed o.o;)
The officer was better, though not perfect, but with his pain numbed and his wounds slowly healing he was able to talk. The officer shakily turned his back on his comrade in the seat next to him. He was fatigued from the experience alone if not from having sustained such injuries. None the less he leaned forwards towards the heroes.
"Thank you, I'll be fine, thanks just listen. You've got to stop them. They've got Peterson and Jennings. The surgeons, they've got a civilian with them but... he's not unconscious. It's like... like he's in some sorta trance. Just goes where they push him. I don't know what they done to him but... you've gotta save them."
He slumped back into his seat, exhausted. A paused, getting his breath for a second before continuing.
"The leader one, he said something about how they gotta get back to the tunnel before more of us show up. They were heading towards the zig' so... I guess they must mean the old drainage tunnel down in Dark Water." He groaned, he body still going through the healing process.
"Hurry. I'll be fine. If they get away... god... Jennings has a kid... please..."
Slumping back into his seat, trying desperately not to look at the body next to him, he rests letting the healing do it's work.
The Chief's visor blazed for a second, the colour steadily reverting back to red and white.
"Any of you who want to come along, head to Dark Water, now. Anyone who's staying, make sure this one gets to the hospital, ASAP."
With that the Chief turned and sprinted before powering into the air, arrowing off towards the given location.
Hold on, boys, he thought, Stay in one piece...and I swear, if those crazed bone-surgeons have harmed you...there'll be ME to answer to...

((Who said I Completely healed him , HK looks about 15/16 but as one of the Nuclear 90 his body has aged slower and with reptilian changes, just for reference))
HK stands unsteadily on his feet as he listens to the cop in the car, he never caught his name.
"I'll take the officer, I didn't teach myself to teleport myself and others around me for nothing. I'll catch you guys up."
He reaches into the car and his hands glow slightly, moments later he and the officer begin their porting over to Brickstown Hospital.
Aisha was about to say she would take the injured officer as he disappeared in a flash of light, along with the kid.
Giving one last pained look at the carnage, she floated softly off the floor, her eyes glowing brighter with Kheldian energy as she flew high above the buildings, twisting and tilting in the air before aiming at Dark Water and pushing her body as hard as possible, the low whine of her energy following her as she headed to catch up the others.

After getting the story from reading the cops lips light keeper. Used her teloporting skill to make it to the entrance to the old drainage tunnel and searches for any signs of the surgeons but her teloporting revealed her for a few seconds to those at the scene and the tunnel she quietly cursed herself for not dampening the light.
((This is my first ever attempt at forum roleplay, and I will be trying something a little different. Rather than having a set story where heroes eventually get to the root of the problem, what the players find out will be entirely up to what they do. The choices they make will affect what happens later on, and in some cases may lead to the source winning or they simply never find out what happens. Naturally, the opposite is also true and the heroes may find out everything.
As it all depends on the amount of heroes, I will give you all some time to join in. Anybody can join, as it'll start off with vahzilok trouble. Something I'm sure most heroes have had to deal with on occasion. Enjoy!))
The night was particularly dark. With no moon and no cloud cover that day, it was bitterly cold as well. Brickstown slept it's concrete slumber as the Ziggurat watched over it. As was often the case with Paragon City however, the wail of police car sirens broke the silence as a large group of Vahzilok surgeons made an attempt to escape. The car swerved down in front of the entrance to the alley they had run down. The officer watched as at the other end another car pulled up against their exit. Smiling with satisfaction, the grin turned to horror as a surgeon instead jumped onto the bonnet of the car, bringing his cleaver down on the windscreen with a smash.
Scrabbling for his radio, the officer managed to make a final bid for more backup before he was dragged out of his car.

Help! Oh my god help! We need back up! Vahzilok surgeons in Brickstown, The Chasm area! They've got hostages! Aghh! Let go of me! No!

The radio message was broadcast across all channels, meaning any heroes who had received their PPD radio heard it. The question was, would they make it in time?
